The Heiress Acts Mischievously, But Her Family Can Read Her Mind Chapter 275: 275: Your Death Summon is Here
Chapter 275: Chapter 275: Your Death Summon is Here
Jiang Nanshu looked at the ssage, her eyebrows raised, a pleased smile on her lips.
Chu Muxi couldn’t hold back any longer.
She wondered what Chu Muxi had seen to make her so determined to try and kill Jian Hemian through an experintal explosion.
While Jiang Nanshu was considering whether or not to go see the scene, she received a ssage from Jian Hemian.
Jian Hemian: “I’m outside your school gate, co out for a mont.”
Jiang Nanshu: “???”
This guy should have been in the lab waiting to get blown up, not wandering around outside.
Chu Muxi was at the scene, and he, on the other hand, had run off to Jing University. How could this be allowed?
Jiang Nanshu rushed frantically to the school gate.
Jian Hemian, with his outstanding looks, attracted a crowd of young girls the first ti he ca here, simply by standing there.
Without his work uniform, he wore a light-colored trench coat and a pair of black suit pants; his slightly long hair was combed back, revealing a smooth forehead, as he lazily leaned against an SUV.
Seeing Jiang Nanshu, he smiled and drew out his words: “Good afternoon, little sister.”
Jiang Nanshu looked at him with confusion: “Why are you at my school?”
“Of course, to see you; what else could I be doing?”
Jiang Nanshu: “…”
[Normally you don’t seek out. You’re very unusual today!]
“What’s up?”
“This afternoon, I have an experintal exercise. The leadership will co to watch, and I’d like you to help record it.”
Jiang Nanshu: “…”
[You want , a university student, to record your experintal exercise? Don’t you have two older and two younger brothers? Why not ask them?]
She looked hesitant: “What about second brother? Is he free?”
“He has surgery this afternoon…” Jian Hemian paused, the corners of his eyes lifting slightly: “Soone is reaping what they’ve sown.”
“What do you an?” Jiang Nanshu was sowhat baffled.
“Do you rember Doctor Wu, who got stabbed at the hospital last ti?”
Jiang Nanshu nodded.
Jian Hemian continued: “He got infected with a virus. It severely affected his heart, and now he’s lying in the hospital fighting for his life. Second brother will perform the surgery, and that guy doesn’t have much chance of surviving.”
Jiang Nanshu: “…”
[This is totally backwards! It should have been second brother who got stabbed and then found out he had the virus. How did it turn out to be Wu Guo, the innocent one? That’s way off base!]
“What about eldest brother…”
Jian Hemian t her clear eyes and said indifferently: “He’s tied up with a project developnt in Nanshan District; he pulled in a partner.”
“What about Yanshan District? Why not do that project first?” Jiang Nanshu asked hastily.
Jian Hemian slightly curved his lips: “Don’t know, go ask eldest brother yourself. Anyway, he’s not free, the fourth one doesn’t have ti either, Lao Wu has to study and run the company, in the whole family, you’re the only one free. Who else should I ask?”
[Don’t tell the Yanshan District project was handed over to Bao Yan. I’d really be angry.]
Jiang Nanshu took a deep breath and raised a smile: “Okay then, I’ll go with you to the research institute. I’ve already taken several days off, one more day shouldn’t matter…”
Jian Hemian opened the car door for her: “Let’s go.”
Jiang Nanshu got into the car, and Jian Hemian drove towards the research institute.
[So there is an experintal exercise today… There must be a lot of people, huh? Hehe, now you’ll get what’s coming to you.]
Jian Hemian’s expression remained unchanged, his thoughts whirling. So it’s today, then?
Was it because he had rejected Chu Muxi’s attempt to join the institute so ti ago that she harbored a grudge?
Indeed, he was a venomous snake hidden in the shadows. If it weren’t for Jiang Nanshu’s inner voice, he would have never known such a malignant tumor was lurking by his side.
The car stopped in the parking lot of the research institute, and Jian Hemian led Jiang Nanshu out.
The research institute was vast, with plenty of greenery, and behind the building Jian Hemian had brought her to, there was a large and deep pond.
The experint was to be conducted on the ground floor, adjacent to the pond, offering a beautiful view from the window.
Jian Hemian put on his lab coat, and by his side was a woman about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old dressed in the sa lab coat. She had a low ponytail and her calm, coly face carried a mature charm.
Jiang Nanshu gave the woman an extra glance.
“So it is this sister that made Chu Muxi jealous, huh? Hey, are you two secretly dating?”
Hearing Jiang Nanshu’s thoughts, Jian Hemian was montarily stunned.
Then he introduced her, “Let introduce you, her na is Qu Yao, a colleague from another research institute. She’s here to assist with this experint, my collaborator.”
Jiang Nanshu suddenly understood and flashed a sweet smile, “Hello, Sister Qu Yao.”
Qu Yao returned the smile politely, “Hello, your brother always talks about you. Seeing you today, you really are as adorable as he says.”
“My third brother?” Jiang Nanshu tilted her head slightly, “He talks about ?”
“Yes,” Qu Yao looked towards Jian Hemian and chuckled lightly, “Indeed, your third brother always brags about having an exceptionally cute and pretty sister. Our entire experintal team has been curious about you.”
“Qu Yao,” Jian Hemian said in a brief utterance.
Qu Yao then shut her mouth, winked at Jiang Nanshu, and mouthed silently, “Shy now.”
“Wow, it really is like the sun rising in the west for you to complint … You’re changing too much. From initially wanting to stab with a knife to now praising … Hey.”
“Cough.” Jiang Nanshu’s face reddened, seemingly embarrassed.
She took Qu Yao aside to talk.
Though it was their first eting, they chatted as if by so natural connection.
Qu Yao now believed that Jian Hemian was right about his sister being very cute.
She had been concerned that a lady from a wealthy family might be difficult to get along with.
Yet it turned out that Jiang Nanshu was unexpectedly gentle.
Jian Hemian shook his head helplessly, then began to prepare the props for the experint.
Qu Yao explained to Jiang Nanshu how to record the broadcast later and handed her a mobile phone and a selfie stick.
After going over everything, another group of people, senior professors, ca in to observe Jian Hemian’s experint. If successful, it could lead to a patent that would benefit humanity.
Their attention was not on Jiang Nanshu tucked away in the corner. She was only responsible for using her phone to record the experint, to aid the professors in their later observation.
Jiang Nanshu’s mind wasn’t on the experint. She kept looking out the window until she saw Chu Muxi’s figure hiding in the dark, and excitent flickered in her eyes.
“Ah, Wuhu, it’s coming, your harbinger of doom is coming.”
Behind his glasses, Jian Hemian’s eyes flashed with a cold light.
The experint passed smoothly.
The elder professors couldn’t help but applaud.
“Hemian, you’re simply a genius,” soone praised.
Qu Yao smiled and suggested, “Respected deans, shall we discuss this in another building? After Professor Jiang tidies up here.”
There were no objections.
After all, it was their own research achievent.
Better to be cautious.
The group filed out.
Now only Jiang Nanshu and Jian Hemian remained in the laboratory.
Jian Hemian took the mobile phone to record, tapped the screen making sure the image was clear, and nodded with satisfaction, “Third brother, I’ve got everything you wanted sorted. Is there anything else you need my help with?”
