“Yes.” The man explained, “Five spirit points are needed for one item. If the noted item is auctioned or available for sale by Beyond The Heaven, we will notify you. At that ti, regardless of whether you still need the item or not, Fellow Daoist has to pay an additional three spirit points.”
ng Qi: “…Is that so?”
“Yes.” The man smiled slightly, “Usually, this service is used by large sects to find items they desperately need, hence the hefty price.” After a pause, he said again: “Fellow Daoist may as well note only the things you urgently need first. As for the rest, you can wait slowly. The day before any major auctions, the list of the auctioned items will be released to the public, and those who are eligible to participate will be notified.”
The man saw that ng Qi had noted five items, which would cost her twenty-five spirit points on the spot at the barest minimum. Seeing how young she was, even if she was qualified to enter the Heaven Auction House, it was probably because she was an elite disciple of a certain large sect which gave her a high privilege in order to train her. Even so, spirit points for the most part could only be used by either the sect leader or the elders, and there were very few individuals who owned spirit points on their own.
“Thank you for your guidance.” ng Qi cupped her hands.
“What is the item that Fellow Daoist needs most urgently?” The man asked politely.
“…All five.” ng Qi answered. As she spoke, she reached out her hand and clasped it on the bamboo slip, leaving her mark of spiritual sense on it.
As the bamboo slip flickered with white light, the auction house staff raised his eyebrow slightly. This ti, he was indeed really surprised. Being eligible to enter the Heaven Auction House was nothing, but it was truly surprising for such a young-looking girl to be able to pay so many spirit points without batting an eye. He couldn’t help but look at ng Qi again. The girl’s blue robe, black hair, beautiful face, and bright eyes gave others a favorable impression.
“Many thanks for your help.” ng Qi smiled at the staff for the last ti before taking her leave. She turned and was about to leave Beyond The Heaven when her naplate vibrated. She quickly took it out and saw a ssage from Sikong Xing: “See you at the previous place.”
ng Qi pondered for a while, then turned around and walked towards the teleportation array, going straight to Beyond The Heaven Restaurant.
The restaurant greeter seed to rember ng Qi and politely took her to the private room the group had previously used. ng Qi was the first to arrive. Before she could order sothing to eat, a waiter ca in with a pot of tea and light snacks consisting of lovely pink plum-shaped pastries, three trays of candies of various shapes, and two kinds of very fresh spirit fruits.
The waiter served the refreshnt and quickly left the private room, closing the door behind ng Qi. After a while, there were three knocks on the door, which then opened with Sikong Xing rushing in.
“ng Qiqi.” The red fox girl jumped to ng Qi’s side and imdiately grabbed her shoulder, looking her up and down for a while and making sure that she was intact with not even a hair missing.
After confirming that ng Qi was alright, Sikong Xing released her hands and slumped on the chair. Now that the tension was gone, the girl picked up a piece of plum cake and stuffed it in her mouth. After a quick biting and swallowing, she began to talk: “I heard a news from my father. According to him, just a month and a half ago, the celestial demon royal clans dispatched their elite subordinates to guard the three entrances connecting the Demon Realm with the Starfallen Sea.”
“Huh?” ng Qi was puzzled, “For what?”
“For the Demon Monarch Order.” When Sikong Xing said this, she deliberately lowered her voice to a whisper, despite knowing that they were alone in the private room. “The Demon Monarch Order is about to reappear.”
She paused and lowered her voice even further: “Three months ago, rumors spread in the Demon Realm that the Demon Monarch was seriously injured and fell into the Starfallen Sea, and his life and death were unknown. So even speculated that he had already t his end in the Starfallen Sea. Therefore, the Demon Monarch Order surely will reappear in Starfallen Sea.”
“In addition, the Demon Monarch’s personal guards were besieged in the Seventh Heaven, and so far, they have not been able to break through the siege. At first, few believed such an outrageous rumor, but slowly, the rumor circulated further and further. On top of that, both the Demon Monarch and his close subordinates stopped appearing in the Demon Realm, so everyone slowly began to feel suspicious.”
Seeing ng Qi’s puzzled face, Sikong Xing quickly explained: “Our Demon Realm is not wholly united and loyal. Although there is the Demon Monarch Order, this order is only useful in the matter concerning the relationship between the three realms or when there is a danger threatening the existence of the Demon Realm itself. In normal tis, it is not possible to give orders to the entire Demon Realm.”
“I see.” ng Qi nodded thoughtfully.
“And the current Demon Monarch is the White Tiger Sovereign from the celestial demon white tiger clan.”
ng Qi’s heart skipped a beat. She had always been attentive and, in fact, had already faintly guessed Yun Qingyan’s identity from previous clues. Still, when she heard the words ‘White Tiger Sovereign,’ her cheeks reddened, and her face beca hot.
“ng Qiqi.” Sikong Xing was dumbfounded, “Why are you blushing?”
“No, nothing.” ng Qi quickly shook her head, “It’s a little stuffy here.”
Sikong Xing look around. Stuffy? How could?
However, Sikong Xing had a straightforward personality and didn’t take ng Qi’s strange reaction too seriously. She continued: “His Majesty is really powerful! Ten years ago, he single-handedly got his hand on the Demon Monarch Order because he is strong enough to contend with the entire Demon Realm.”
Sikong Xing suddenly asked: “By the way, ng Qiqi, do you know the Demon Monarch?”
“Ah?” ng Qi was stunned, “I’ve never been to the Demon Realm.”
“But you can use the Four Poles Great Array and even activate the killing formation…” Sikong Xing suddenly shuddered. She couldn’t help recalling how ng Qi used the arrays like a grim reaper. The girl looked young and delicate, but at the ti, she was like a cold monarch overlooking the world beneath her feet.
“Well…” ng Qi replied vaguely. She didn’t want to deceive Sikong Xing, but this matter had sothing to do with Yun Qingyan. Unless with his permission, ng Qi wouldn’t reveal anything about him.
Sikong Xing’s shoulder trembled a few tis: “Did you learn that from a mber of the white tiger clan… no!” She shook her head and said, “As far as I know, that array and killing formation is the clan’s great secret that can only be used by the White Tiger Sovereign.”
ng Qi: “???”
