Wendy Wallace gritted her teeth, "Paige Sterling, what makes you so special? You..."

Before she could finish her sentence, she watched as Paige quickly pulled Sumr Xavier aside.

Wendy didn’t react in ti, and suddenly a wave of black water washed over her, knocking her to the ground.

Wendy was drenched from head to toe in the foul-slling black water, and her boyfriend Wes Biber ran off alone after realizing what happened, not caring for her at all.

The staff rushed over apologetically, "Sorry, there was a problem with the sewage pipe ahead. The workers didn’t notice while repairing it..."

So, what covered her was stuff from the sewer?

Wendy’s face was beyond dark at this point, it was twisted.

Although others were sowhat affected, they only got a little bit on them.

Only she was hit the worst, completely soaked.

Wendy looked pitiably at Wes, "Wes, can you give a hand..."

Wes pinched his nose, refusing to even look at Wendy, "You sll so awful, how can I help you? Just find a place to wash off yourself first..."

Being rejected so harshly by her own boyfriend in front of so many people, Wendy was both embarrassed and humiliated.

Her spiteful gaze landed on Paige.

"Paige! Why didn’t you pull away just now? Did you do it on purpose to make look bad? How can you be so wicked?"

Paige glanced at her calmly, "Am I obligated to pull you away?"

Wendy, "We’re classmates..."

Paige responded with an uninterested "Oh."

Wendy, "...", bit her teeth and stood up, running inside the hotel to wash up herself.

She tried to drag Wes along, but Wes impatiently said, "Don’t you have hands and feet of your own?"

Wendy was afraid that if she kept arguing, Wes would embarrass her even more.

She had no choice but to go by herself, but before leaving, she gave Paige a vicious glare, as if warning her not to flirt with her boyfriend.

Paige didn’t even pay her any mind.

anwhile, the foul sewage water was still bubbling up, covering the road in front of the hotel entrance. The won, all in sandals, couldn’t walk across it and were just standing at the door, unsure of what to do.

But Paige had no such concerns. She was about to walk right across, taking Sumr along with her.

Wes, however, ran up to Paige to be attentive.

"Miss Sterling, if you step in it, your shoes will get dirty. Let carry you across."

Paige remained expressionless, "Get lost."

Wes persisted, "I don’t an anything by it, I just want to be friends with you, no need to be so distant."

"I said, get lost."

Wes still wouldn’t budge.

Just as Paige was about to take action, a few girls suddenly gasped.

"Look, look, that guy is so handso, oh my god..."

"Really, he’s coming towards us."

Sumr nudged Paige with her elbow, signaling her.

Paige looked over and saw Julian Hawthorne walking toward them.

Paige chuckled; this man had such a cleanliness obsession, he probably couldn’t stand the foul sll if he ca over.

To Wes, Paige’s smile ant he had a chance, so he continued trying to impress her.

Julian frowned when he saw this scene from a distance.

And then Paige saw him ignore the sewage, walking over with a stern face.

His expression was even more displeased than the sewage itself.

Just as Wendy erged from the hotel after washing up, she saw Wes trying to curry favor with Paige.

She was about to storm over in anger when she noticed everyone’s gaze.

Following their line of sight, she saw Julian.

The entertainnt industry is full of handso n and beautiful won, but Wendy had never seen a man with such a strong presence and extraordinary looks.

She stared blankly at Julian.

Then she suddenly realized Julian was heading straight towards her.

The other students at the entrance also murmured, "Why’s he going towards Wendy? Does she know him?"

"He’s so handso, he might be soone from the entertainnt industry too. It’s not surprising if he knows Wendy..."

"Wendy’s luck is incredible if she knows such an outstanding guy..."

Listening to everyone, Wendy couldn’t help but wonder if this man really knew her, and maybe he was indeed coming for her.

She’d completely forgotten about Wes, her heart pounding as she watched Julian.

Everyone’s envious gazes landed on Wendy, "Wendy, who is he?"

Wendy didn’t speak.

Sure enough, Julian walked up to Wendy under everyone’s expectant gaze.

The crowd’s envious eyes made Wendy feel like she was regaining face she had lost earlier.

She straightened her chest and lifted her chin proudly like a peacock, "Hello, may I ask who you are..."

She deliberately put on a puzzled expression, as if telling him, even though you’re infatuated with , I don’t recall you.

Also letting everyone know, high-quality n pursuing her are plenty, she doesn’t care about just Wes.

But when Julian reached her, he turned sharply at her side, walking past her.

Wendy looked back in shock, seeing Julian stop in front of Paige, glaring coldly at Wes to back off.

Wes asked awkwardly, "Miss Sterling, who is this?"

"None of your business?" Paige, annoyed with him, tugged on Julian’s sleeve, "What brings you here?"

"Just passing by."

He said it casually, as if he really was just passing by.

Paige’s lips twitched, muttering if it would kill you to admit you ca here on purpose?

No one expected that this man was here for Paige, it was an awkward misunderstanding.

Since Paige didn’t introduce him, they didn’t dare to ask.

Only Wendy bit her lip and walked over.

She flashed what she thought was her most graceful and charming smile.

"Hello sir, I’m Paige’s high school classmate. I’ve never heard her ntion you. Are you friends?"

To Julian, anyone other than Paige was just part of the background.

He looked only at Paige, ignoring Wendy completely.

Wendy greeted him proactively, not expecting him to ignore her.

After all, isn’t she a beauty too? Is this guy blind?

Faced with such awkwardness, Wendy had no choice but to save face.

"Paige, aren’t you going to introduce us to this gentleman?"

Paige glanced at Wendy.

Everyone thought Julian had approached Wendy, but Paige knew it was only because that part of the sewage was shallower.

She said calmly, "My husband."

Everyone was in uproar.

Paige is actually married?
