When Julian Hawthorne walked out of the bathroom, he saw Paige Sterling looking at that book with a twitchy expression.

Julian’s face quickly stiffened for a mont, then he looked completely unconcerned, as if he had never seen that book before.

"It’s Simon Hawthorne’s; it might have ended up here," he said, casually blaming his younger brother without any ntal burden.

Paige replied, "It ended up under your pillow? That’s quite an inappropriate place for it."

Julian’s face stiffened again. How could he possibly admit to reading such an image-damaging book?

He decided not to admit it no matter what.

"Yeah."

Paige flipped through the book and started reading, "...Stop complaining about Germany, just hold ."

"The rooftop is full; squeeze into my heart."

"Do you know where the coldest place in the world is?"

"Do you know what my biggest flaw is?"

Paige looked at Julian, "This is awfully familiar."

Julian, "..."

He hadn’t thought he was that cheesy when he used to say these lines to Paige.

But now that Paige was repeating them back in such a dumb tone, he really felt that there might be sothing wrong with his brain.

He snatched the book out of Paige’s hand and tossed it aside, blocking Paige’s mouth directly, causing her to even forget to bring up Miles Morgan.

The atmosphere was getting heated, but just then, Sonny Chambers burst through the door, charging in with great urgency.

"Paige! Paige! I want to sleep with you!"

Paige imdiately pushed Julian away, catching him off guard and causing him to fall off the bed, hitting his head on the nightstand.

Paige, "..."

Feeling awkward, she helped Julian up, and his forehead was already red and swollen from the bump.

Paige looked at Sonny, "Go get so ice."

Sonny, accustod to being bossed around, quickly fetched ice from the fridge.

Paige applied it to Julian’s head, asking, "Does it hurt?"

Julian gave her a haunted look, "What do you think?"

Paige, "...It hurts a bit, huh? Applying this should make it better."

Then she kicked Sonny, who had automatically snuggled into the bed, "Go back to your own room."

"I won’t. I want to sleep with you today."

Paige didn’t relent, simply had the robot remove him.

Sonny struggled, "How can you do this to ! I’m your dear little cousin! My deceased aunt won’t forgive you!"

"Try saying another word of nonsense?"

Sonny covered his face in despair as the robot carried him away.

The next day, Sonny didn’t have school. Julian and Paige planned to go to the supermarket for groceries and essentials, and Sonny wanted to go too, so Paige agreed to take him along.

Sonny cheered, "Paige, can I buy so cute little things for myself?"

Paige responded nonchalantly with a "hmm."

Sonny was overjoyed, thinking he could finally have a little freedom.

He dashed toward the door, "Ah! My beloved spicy strips! The cake I still long for! My favorite lollipops and cotton candy, here I co!"

Paige crushed his fantasy entirely, "You can’t buy any of those."

Sonny’s smile froze, "Why? You said I could buy whatever I wanted!"

"Junk food. If you get sick, I’ll have to take you to the hospital. Do you think I have that kind of ti?"

Sonny puffed up with anger, "Without spicy strips, cakes, ice cream, and cotton candy, what’s the point of my life? I might as well just die!"

Throwing a tantrum wouldn’t work on Paige.

"There are knives in the kitchen, they’re quite sharp, go ahead."

Sonny, "Paige! If you don’t let buy them, I won’t go!"

Paige, "Then stay ho!"

Then Paige said to Mr. Hawthorne, "Mr. Hawthorne, let’s go."

Sonny, "...", still just a kid, lanted why couldn’t they spoil him just a little bit?

Ultimately, Sonny followed along pitifully. At the supermarket, he gazed longingly at the snacks he coveted, not daring to touch them.

He asked Paige desperately, "Paige, tell , what exactly can I buy?"

Paige, "You’ll eat whatever I buy. Do you think you’re in a position to choose?"

Sonny accused, "Why are you being so unreasonable? Kids need different nutrition than adults!"

"You eat what I provide and live in my house, and you expect to live like royalty? Why don’t you just ascend to heaven?"

Having said that, Paige tossed a box of milk into the shopping cart, "A box of pure milk every day. If you sneak it out again, then you’ll just have to eat dirt."

With a pout, Sonny watched as Paige threw a bag of walnuts in as well.

"With that pig brain of yours, you should eat more walnuts to supplent it."

Sonny muttered, "...Where can you find such a smart pig brain as mine?"

Having lost hope with Paige, Sonny turned his hopeful gaze to Julian Hawthorne, "Brother-in-law, can I buy so toys?"

Whenever he called Julian "brother-in-law," Julian was usually more agreeable.

Sure enough, Julian nodded, "Yes."

Sonny’s spirits lifted a bit, and he tried to climb down from the shopping cart, but it was too high.

"Brother-in-law, pick up,"

He opened his arms towards Julian, looking at him with great admiration.

Even at a young age, he played his role well, harboring resentnt towards Julian while showing no hint of it on the surface.

He thought he played his part well, expecting Julian to gently pick him up and place him softly on the ground.

However, the reality was...

Julian was even rougher than Paige and directly lifted him by the hood of his onesie, dropping him on the floor.

Then they continued pushing the cart along, not caring how difficult it was for his short legs to keep up.

Sonny, "..."

He suddenly felt sorry for the nephews and nieces yet to be born.

Their parents really loved each other, but they were destined to be re accidents.

Sonny went to the toys section to look at toys.

But over ti, being spoiled by Paige, he felt those toys were too juvenile, lacking the challenge of those Paige made. Despite picking and choosing, he couldn’t find any he liked.

He sighed in front of the toys, "Looks like I’m already a big kid who doesn’t need toys."

And then walked away.

The sales associate, "...?"

Sonny then shuffled back to the shopping cart on his short legs, climbing back in himself.

As he twisted and turned in the cart, Paige gave him a warning look.

"Behave, keep squirming and I’ll toss you out."

Sonny, "..."

Sonny thought The Great Demon Sterling treated all kids with such a bad attitude.

But it wasn’t until Sonny saw how Paige treated other people’s kids that he realized Paige was only an to him.

As they were leaving the supermarket, Paige ran into a female actress from the entertainnt industry she had collaborated with before.

Their relationship wasn’t quite at best-friend level, but it wasn’t bad either.
