Her archers followed suit, creating a volley pelting the monsters' armored hides. The arrows crashed off the scales, doing minimal damage if not none at all, but each thwack registered a "hit" for the system, ensuring their participation and consequential rewards, but it wasn't enough, of course, to get a lot of C.L.A.S.P. points.

They all needed to contribute more to the battle, in one way or another, if they wanted to truly take advantage of the situation.

Matthias raised a hand, and a lance of pure golden light appeared from his palm.

He was careful with the amount of mana he used. Normally, he would just pour everything he got, since he could simply use his trait to gain his mana back, but he couldn't do this right now since he would just get killed. His lance of golden light struck a Skitterlord grappling with a Skeletal Warrior.

It didn't have much effect again, but it contributed to the overall effort.

The plan was working. The Skitterlords, already overwheld by the Twin Boulderbacks and the Spectral Legion, Skeletal Warriors, Shadow Guardians, and other titans, were now being pincushioned from every conceivable angle.

Reidar avoided quickly killing the monsters to maximize the contributions of his party mbers, so his army pinned them down, dealing enough damage to bring the monsters closer to death while still allowing others to land so more hits.

The Cinderheart Efreeti's fire lted their hides, the Spriggan mages' ice shards cracked the molten gaps, and Seraphine's arrows found the soft tissue beneath.

Reidar watched the one-sided massacre, feeling the pressure on his mana stabilize as more mana ca thanks to his Mana Siphon and Arcane Leech perks.

What was great was that all his perks were working. For example, Boundless Legion made Reidar summon twice the number of Skeletal Warriors and Spectral creatures, and Grave Calling added even more to the Skeletal Warriors. Reidar could now summon smaller armies without actually having to rely on his trait.

The Summon Skeletal Warriors ability initially summoned 30 undead, added 20 more from Grave Calling, and then doubled the total with Boundless Legion. Reidar had 100 summons at level 260 without doing much. That added to the five titans and the 40 Spectral Creatures, all empowered by Legion's fortitude. Made things much, much easier.
