Chapter 957: Chapter 74: The Teacher? Even More Excited!

anwhile, in a dim and empty bedchamber.

Hela curled up on the bed, her body writhing, convulsing, and twisting with piercing, bone-chilling pain, as dense cold sweat seeped out, soaking through her robe and the bed beneath, like a beached fish on the sand, no longer possessing the valor to battle two at once as before.

This was the price to pay for commanding the Netherworld.

Through the vanity mirror in front of the bed, Hela saw that the skin and flesh on one side of her body were becoming transparent, exposing the stark white bones within. Panic-stricken, she quickly marshalled the vitality within her body to wildly suppress the uncontrollable death energy.

As life force and death energy clashed inside her, a heartrending pain surged like an avalanche and tsunami, as if it were scraping off her flesh piece by piece, grinding her bones segnt by segnt, and even pulverizing her spirit inch by inch.

Hela clenched her teeth, her white teeth cutting deep into her cherry lips creating trails of blood, the taste sweet and tallic spreading inside her mouth, flowing into her heart, turning into silent whispers:

Teacher… Teacher…

Finally, after an indeterminable amount of ti, the agony receded like a tide.

Hela, gasping for breath, opened her eyes and stepped barefoot off the bed, walking to the vanity mirror.

In the mirror, she saw half of the Goddess’s visage crystal clear like jade, brimming with vibrant life, while the other half of her cheek was engraved with a faintly discernible skull pattern, revealing a chilling and eerie visage of death.

One being, yet exhibiting the extres of life and death.

Hela raised her hand, touching the skull-like Divine Pattern on her cheek, her expression becoming sowhat gloomy.

Although she managed to suppress the rebellious death energy within and prevented the other half of her body from decaying into bones, there were still so lingering effects that she couldn’t completely erase.

However, judging by the ti, she should be able to deal with these aftereffects before her teacher arrives.

At that thought, the dark clouds in Hela’s heart dispersed quite a bit.

With a thought, she restored her ssy bedroom to its original state, then with a slight lift of her hand, a dark stone pillar rose from the ground, standing tall within the room.

The pillar was inscribed with Lun Runes that served as restraints, while several glowing Magic Chains extended from within it, firmly binding Valkyrie Brynhild to it.

“Snap!”

With a crisp snap of her fingers, the Magic Chains binding Brynhild shattered in response.

Hela leaned back on the bed, lazily asking:

“Tell , what do you know about ‘that person’?”

“You expect to betray Lord Loki’s intelligence? Dream on!”

Brynhild scoffed in refusal, turning her head away.

“Don’t worry, I have less desire for his death than you do.” Hela sneered and shook her head, her eyes reflecting a hint of reminiscence, “After all, it was he who raised .”

Upon hearing this, surprise filled Brynhild’s beautiful face.

Hela raised an eyebrow: “Odin didn’t tell you?”

Seeing the Valkyrie’s bewildered expression, Hela’s face revealed a trace of mockery, saying:

“That’s right, he couldn’t wait to conceal my existence, why would he openly share it? After all, letting outsiders know he secured his position as King of Nine Realms by betraying his daughter would hardly reflect well on him.”

“Do not slander Father God.” Brynhild rebuked, though her tone was clearly lacking force.

“Fine, let’s not talk about him. How about we talk about your superior?” Hela changed the subject seductively, “Would you like to know his past?”

“Don’t think you can bewitch !” Brynhild sternly retorted, yet her ears involuntarily perked up, ready to listen.

“It’s rely a trade,” Hela clarified, “I tell you his past, you tell his present. Fair, isn’t it?”

Perhaps in hearing about Lord Loki’s past, she could indirectly uncover her own weaknesses.

This is a perfect opportunity to glean intelligence!

Brynhild swallowed hard and nodded in agreent.

Soon, they each recounted their own perspectives on ‘that person’ and the journey up to this point.

“So, after sending to the Netherworld, he exiled himself in the Elf Country for hundreds of years. No wonder he never ca to see …” Hela murmured to herself, her gloom gradually replaced by a smile, “Is it out of guilt? Or is it because he dares not?”

“Idiot, I’ve never blad you…”

Looking at the Death Goddess on the bed, her cheeks flush with a hint of red, talking to herself with her hands propping up her cheeks, Brynhild felt uneasy and asked coldly:

“Hey, I’ve told you everything you wanted to know. Isn’t it ti to let go?”

“Let you go? When did I say I would let you go?”

Realizing the words, Brynhild’s mind suddenly couldn’t catch up:

“If you want to see Lord Loki, see him yourself. What’s the use of capturing ?”

“Of course, to make him co to willingly.”

Hela replied with a smile, then added ominously,

“And besides, with a hostage in hand, he’s more likely to listen to .”

“You want to use to coerce Lord Loki?”

A lightbulb went off in Brynhild’s head, and then she shook it,

“It’s useless, I’m just a guide for Lord Loki, my life or death is insignificant. He wouldn’t bend to your will just because of !”

“Then let’s gamble and see if he will lower his head for you.”

Hela murmured in response, her eyes glimring with amusent and anticipation.

Watching the resolute Death Goddess preparing to lock her back in the dungeon, Brynhild bit her silver teeth and mocked loudly:
