Zeus, having his defenses shattered, raised his hands high, and a fierce thunder interwove instantly above the wedding scene, forming silver swords that pierced the dark clouds, plumting straight towards the ultimate culprit of foul mouth.
"Dionysus Cosmos... [A small world wrapped by the sky]..."
Accompanied by a low chant, a thick, huge, and finely crafted Divine Shield was lifted. The earth, sky, ocean, the tireless Sun, the full-moon, and the multitude of stars engraved on its surface shone brightly like a garland adorning the heavens, constructing the outline of the [World].
At the sa ti, the city's phantoms of Athens and Thebes rose from the ground, and the "residents," young and old, male and female, beca visible, filling in the details of the [World], giving that realm life and vitality.
At the mont the thunder struck, the people living in it seed to sense danger, setting aside their work and praying devoutly.
The overlapping voices sang the na of "Dionysus," with a unified faith creating a misty, blue firmant above the [small world].
"Bang Bang Bang Bang!"
The silver thunder that fell in succession vanished within the misty blue light rising from the surface of the Divine Shield, never reaching the figure hidden behind that [small world].
How could this be?!
Seeing this, Zeus was startled, his raised hands fervently swinging down, trying to further enhance the authority of the thunder.
"Bang!"
However, before the Divine King could react, a shield that slipped from a hand spun toward him with the speed of lightning and hit Zeus squarely in the old face.
"Crack~"
Accompanied by the crisp sound of a broken nasal bone, the Divine Incarnation created by Zeus's Divine Power fell backward, and the golden particles of Divinity scattered from the wound like light dust.
The sensation of a sour and painful face made His Majesty the King of Gods see darkness before his eyes, and he couldn't help but shed hot tears, his expression twisted and filled with sorrow and anger.
"You dare to treat like this, I will..."
"Pfft!"
A crimson lance ford of condensed blood whistled through the air, easily tearing apart the hastily erected Divine barrier in front of Zeus and piercing straight through the chest of the Divine King, brutally nailing him to the marble column behind.
As countless particles of golden Divinity scattered, Zeus clutched the large hole in his chest, his face full of disbelief as he looked towards the figure who had thrown that deicide spear.
"You actually..."
"Buzz!"
Before he could finish speaking, the tip of the blood-red spear lit up with several fiery Hers Scripts, signifying—explosion."Boom!"
A dull roar followed, and Zeus's Divine Incarnation, along with half of the marble column behind him, was blown to pieces.
"Bastards! I will not let you off! I will definitely not!"
With a roar of rage, the pitiful Divine Incarnation disintegrated into golden particles of Divinity, gathering towards the sky.
Luo En bent down to pick up the Divine Shield that had just been tried in battle, then stood up, turned around, and looked around with a sincere gaze.
"You all saw it, right? He started it first; I was just defending myself."
The pantheon of gods nodded together in agreent.
"It's been less than three days since he tried to reignite the god war, way too excessive! We absolutely can't tolerate this; we must respond with heavy fists!"
The gods nodded again, like a flock of chicks pecking at grains.
"So let's continue to get along well in the future, and not follow those who break rules right from the start."
The gods nodded once more, their throats moving unconsciously, with swallowing sounds barely discernible, and their eyes fixed on a certain [Shepherd] filled with faint horror.
This guy, is he still the Chief God?
Could it be a privilege given to him by The Three Fates, to diate the world's conflicts for three hundred years?
The minds of the gods were abuzz with thoughts, reassessing the value behind the title of [Shepherd].
Soon, Luo En, with a smile, clapped his hands to lighten the mood.
"Alright, everyone, no need to be tense, the little interlude is now over. Let's proceed with the music, the dance, and the feast."
The Three Graces and The Nine Muses in charge of the artistic performance decisively played the harp and sang poetry, using their elegant and skillful performance to diffuse the tension from the recent violence.
Leading with dusa, the Gorgon Sisters, along with the crazed won of Dionysus under Luo En's command and the priestesses from the Temple of Athena, pushed the dining carts, serving up one delicious dish after another and jars of sweet Ambrosial Honey Wine to the guests at the wedding.
With dance, song, food, and wine synergizing, the gods gradually relaxed, imrsing themselves completely in this luxurious feast.
After all, they weren't planning any mischief, and a fair battle for believers was more advantageous than disadvantageous for most of the Chief Gods.
So, whether this diator Shepherd retained the strength of a Chief God or was demoted to a lesser deity didn't make much difference to them.
It was that His Majesty the King of Gods, who was used to being high-handed, who had made a scene at the wedding, thus attracting the gunfire to make an example out of him.
The gods muttered a few critical words in their hearts, turned to their cups and drank heartily, their faces showing not the slightest sympathy but even so schadenfreude.
The cake of faith is only so big; one less bite for others ans one more bite for themselves.
Although Zeus, the King of Olympus, hadn't deliberately developed the Holy Land, his long-standing prestige still posed a significant threat in the battle of faith.
