However, for Luo En, that was an uncertain future, and one that could be changed.

"Listen to , wear these large and long robes less in the future, they're nothing but a hindrance to movent. Mages aren't posts; flexibility and mobility are just as important to us."

A senior brother was imparting practical combat experience to his newly acquainted junior sister while peeling off the obviously ill-fitting, inferior mage's robe from her body and tossing it far into the dense forest.

Little dea was naturally overjoyed at this, almost wishing she could clap her hands in delight.

That thing was stuffy and hot, and if it weren't for Aunt Circe insisting she wear it for the sake of an enchantress's dignity, she would never want to be wrapped in such a thick shell all day.

"My three silvers of Hera!"

Seeing her aesthetic efforts and labor discarded by two ungrateful disciples, Circe, as their teacher, couldn't help but let out a wail before turning her head to look at a certain culprit, gritting her teeth.

"You, you're purposely opposing , aren't you?"

"How could I? These precious combat experiences are all taught by the Goddess standing behind ."

Luo En said, pulling Little dea to the side, smilingly passing the bla to the Goddess who was accompanying them.

Faced with this deflection of trouble, Hecate first shot an unscrupulous disciple a glance before layers of ripples spread through the surrounding air, her disguise lifted, revealing her true appearance, and her deep purple eyes looked towards a certain disciple with a light hum of displeasure.

"Circe, you made yourself hard to find."

"Teacher?"

Upon seeing the Goddess of the Underworld Moon, Circe shrank back a bit, swiftly sidestepped, and ducked behind Luo En, firmly grasping the arm of her beloved disciple and using him as a shield before daring to respond loudly.

"Aiaia is boring to death, I don't want to go back!"

Being the personal disciple of the Goddess of the Underworld Moon Hecate, as well as the Great Witch of Love and Moon, Circe not only ruled Aiaia as its island mistress but also bore the responsibility of ferrying the sea's departed souls at the border between life and death.

But after doing this for a millennium or so, Circe had grown tired of it.

Especially after one of her senior disciples ran away, life on the island seed to beco more monotonous and difficult by the day.

So, not long ago, Circe took the excuse of travelling to drop her responsibilities, taking her new disciple and little niece with her to have fun in the human city-states.

As a result, the lack of guidance for the sea's departed souls led to an imbalance between life and death.

Thus, Hecate had co all the way to Athens, specifically to arrest this silly bird and bring her back to justice?

Luo En glanced at the displeased Goddess of the Underworld Moon and had an inkling of understanding, then forcefully withdrew his arm from what felt like a flat plate of steel, unapologetically pushed Circe to the forefront, while he took the oblivious Little dea aside.

Such smooth maneuvers, perfectly showcasing the fine tradition of Aiaia's nurturing and filial piety between master and disciple.

And as Hecate saw her wayward disciple delivered before her, she decisively grabbed one of Circe's eagle wings behind her, pulling her to her side and snuffing out the small fla of rebellion in her heart with a cold smirk.

"Don't want to do it? That's not up to you!"

"Ferrying the sea's departed souls is just my part-ti job! Part-ti! If there's a problem, go find Death God Thanatos first, why catch ?"

The isolated Circe cursed her two unreliable disciples inwardly while waving her small fists in protest.

"He's been caught too, can't go..."

"Huh?"

Hearing this, not only Circe but also Luo En and Astraea looked at each other, bewildered.

Seeing everyone's incredulous expressions, Hecate sighed with a sense of helplessness and explained the reason for her departure from the Netherworld and arrival on the surface.

"It's true, I'm not deceiving you, Thanatos has been missing for a long ti. If it weren't for the discrepancy between the number of deaths and the souls arriving in the Netherworld, we wouldn't have even noticed the problem.

And according to the last ssage received, he seems to be confined in a place from where he cannot escape."

"So, Hades has entrusted to co up here, investigate the situation, and restore the order between life and death."

After hearing Hecate's explanation, Luo En and Astraea accompanying her suddenly realized.

They then understood why Hecate was so secretive about the purpose of her trip.

After all, the chaos in the Netherworld was not only peculiar but also sowhat embarrassing to speak of.

Because, the kidnapping of the God of Death was indeed a rather embarrassing affair.

And once the situation had been clarified, Circe beca even more dispirited.

"Then go find Thanatos, why capture ?"

"There's no clue for the mont, so I needed soone for the interim."

"..."

Looking at her teacher, who seed to take it for granted, Circe was left sowhat speechless.

However, she quickly had an idea, raising a hand to point behind her.

"How about him? He's my most outstanding disciple! Surely he can shoulder the responsibility!"

"..."

Luo En, looking at his teacher who had just sold him out, was equally speechless and silently criticized in his heart.

Look at that, the harmonious teacher-disciple relationship on Aiaia, where before a problem everyone was quick to sell their disciple.

However, to Circe's suggestion, Hecate only glanced aningfully at a certain disciple and shook her head gently in refusal.

"[Death] is not a simple, singular concept but part of fate, under the dominion of The Three Fates, requiring one to interpret the ons of the [Loom of Fate], and also necessitating the use of divinity and authority relating to death to ferry souls and maintain the balance of life and death. Not just anyone possesses these qualifications..."
