Chapter 1258: Chapter 32 Kill King Arthur!_2
The life of an ancient god is so long; its mory and knowledge are vast like the ocean. Altria’s re decade-long life, if exposed without defense, would be completely torn apart and assimilated, becoming an insignificant drop in the ocean of Danu, establishing the self-awareness of Goddess Danu.
Understanding this, Luo En’s face grew even more grim:
“To put it bluntly, you considered Altria as a sacrifice from the beginning. Once this nascent soul matures, you could inject the divinity and mory belonging to Danu into it, allowing the true Danu to resurrect.”
“How could we possibly serve a mortal girl as queen? Altria Pendragon is rely a seed. Once she successfully takes root and sprouts, her sole purpose would be to provide a new stock for Mother Goddess.”
Morgos remained unfazed, frankly admitting their true intentions.
The term stock cos from grafting, an ancient and unique plant cultivation technique.
It involves attaching the bud or branch of one plant to the body of another plant, enabling the two parts to grow into a complete plant entity. The attached bud or branch is called the scion, while the plant body to which it is attached is called the stock.
In this process, the scion in grafting provides the bud or branch portion, carrying the complete genetic information of the parent plant. Thus, the fruit type, taste, color, and so on are controlled by the scion’s genes, akin to the divinity and mory left by Goddess Danu. As the underlying stock, it rely determines the plant’s growth, just like Altria serves as the carrier.
Seeing the cloud on Luo En’s face seems to grow darker, Morgan spoke:
“Although this might seem cruel to that young girl, the Celtic cannot be without Mother Goddess’s guidance. This is also for the future of this world. Moreover, she doesn’t truly die; she rely becos part of Mother Goddess, hence immortal.”
“If that’s the case. Why not let Altria take the lead, sacrificing the divinity and mory of Danu you have preserved to my student? Anyway, she’s long fallen, feeling no pain even if dismantled. Once the ritual is completed, won’t you still have a Great Mother Goddess?”
Luo En mockingly retorted.
Morgan’s face darkened and she flatly rejected:
“Let humans replace gods? How ridiculous!”
“So, should my student be sacrificed for your so-called obsession? What if the sacrifice were you?”
“For Mother Goddess, I am willing to devote myself.”
“But I am not willing!”
“…”
Morgan opened her mouth, the words of rebuttal stuck in her throat, unconsciously lowering her head, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.
Seeing her two sisters one idling and the other disconnecting, Morgos helplessly had to step in and persuade personally:
“I understand your sentint in protecting your disciple, after all, my two sisters can be considered your students. They said you are the best ntor in the world. But you should also know, we went to great lengths to cultivate Altria, not to elect a mortal as queen, but to guide our Great Mother Goddess Danu’s return in another way.”
“But you didn’t say beforehand that cultivating Altria’s personality and humanity, making her soul mature quickly, was to eventually use her as a sacrifice to resurrect Danu.”
Luo En feigned a smile, looking at the opposite, the three Lake Fairies guiltily turned their heads.
Alright, they indeed handled this matter sowhat unscrupulously.
Although emotion needs emotion to be nurtured, Altria’s seed matured so quickly, thanks to Luo En’s significant contributions and efforts as a teacher.
Yet deities and humans are inherently two different species.
Also, in just a few decades, who could have thought this powerful Origin God would care so much for a small “seed,” even willing to relinquish the faith and divine authority of the Celtic?
Morgos glanced at the table where the Golden Curse Blade lay, sighed, and asked:
“Are you really unwilling to beco the Celtic’s Great Druid, to perform this ritual?”
“Since Morgan and Vivian both say I’m the best teacher, do you think I’d betray my own student?”
“That’s right, we were presumptuous, farewell.”
Morgos respectfully nodded, then took up the Golden Curse Blade from the table, leading her two sisters to turn and walk towards the temple exit.
Watching the Three Lake Fairies disappear from view, a hint of gloom erged in Luo En’s eyes.
Indeed, the Celtic gods represented by the Lake Fairies still haven’t completely submitted to him, rely treating him as a collaborator rather than a subordinate.
However, upon reflection, Luo En felt sowhat relieved.
As a race forged in turmoil and migration, defiance is almost ingrained in their bones.
Historically, Romans, Vikings, Saxons, Picts, Normans, and other foreign tribes took turns serving the Celts, nearly occupying the entire British Isles.
Yet even into modern tis, the Celts have not been fully assimilated or conquered, consistently preserving their ethnic cultural identity.
Scottish independence, Northern Irish rebellion, and Ireland’s autonomy all epitomize this characteristic.
Originally, if Luo En had agreed to accept the Golden Curse Blade offered voluntarily by the three Lake Fairies, agreeing to beco the Great Druid and preside over the sacrifice ceremony, resurrecting Goddess Danu, perhaps he could gradually earn their loyalty.
But the price would be sending his carefully nurtured student to beco a sacrifice.
