Chapter 1109: Chapter 132: Finn, why is there sothing green on your head?

Ulster, outside the city.

The vast Fiona Battle Group was marching swiftly towards their destination, but the dense fog gradually made them lose their sense of direction. The muffled footsteps and the sharp scraping of armor plates within the troop didn’t carry far before being swallowed by a deathly silence.

Leading the group, Finn watched the increasingly thick white mist ahead, his brows knitting tighter. Years of military and battle experience gave rise to a strong sense of anxiety within him.

It was as if they were walking on the edge of a cliff, a single misstep would plunge them into a bottomless abyss, devoured by the surrounding silence.

“Stop!”

Sensing a strong on of doom, Finn imdiately raised his fist, making a “halt” gesture to the soldiers of the warband behind him, and then called his son from the troop—Ao Xiang, giving him a aningful look.

Ao Xiang nodded, crouched down, and chanted in ancient Gaelic, placing his green-glowing right hand on the ground, as a tide of consciousness flowed through the earth pulse, exploring the surroundings.

Watching his son’s actions, Finn felt slightly reassured.

Ao Xiang was the offspring of him and a female Druid. Initially, his mother was transford into a doe by evil cultists. He happened to pass by, rescued the female Druid, and combined with her, thus conceiving this child, nad “Ao Xiang,” aning “little deer.”

And indeed, Ao Xiang’s combat ability was not outstanding, but he perfectly inherited his mother’s magical talents, making him a foremost sage and Druid in the Fiona Battle Group.

On this land, when it cos to the perception of life and the natural environnt, probably no one compares to the native Druids.

A mont later, Ao Xiang, who had closed his eyes to sense, suddenly opened them, his face showing shock.

But before he could speak, the fog ahead churned violently like boiling water, and a dark red fla light shot through in an instant.

“Dodge!”

In the nick of ti, Finn thrust his spear forward, shattering the fla light that flew towards Ao Xiang.

The turbulent magic power tore apart the surrounding mist, revealing several burly and robust figures, with the leading warrior having silver hair and blood-red eyes, his appearance striking:

“Sigurd, descendant of Great God Odin, current monarch of the Volsung family.”

The man spoke loudly, as the magic sword Gramr in his hand ignited with scorching tribulation flas, pure and intense divine power forming dark red light patterns.

Finn, eting his gaze, rode forward:

“Finn MacCool, descendant of Military God Danu, commander of the Fiona Battle Group.”

As the words fell, the magic spear “Undefeated Purple Grass” in Finn’s hand stirred up an erald vortex, the spear tip’s rainbow light stabbing toward Sigurd’s throat.

But Sigurd’s reaction was equally swift, channeling divine power, he raised the magic sword Glamir, the runes on the sword blade forcibly halted the shooting erald vortex—at the mont of tallic collision, bronze sparks exploded.

The next instant, the Nordic Warrior King roared and twisted the sword body, the runes-enhanced arm muscles bulging, tearing the spear’s light apart, and the intense impact caused Finn and his horse to stagger back.

——A master!

Realizing that the assailant before him was no ordinary, Finn decisively recalled the Horse of the Underworld beneath him, as his body dropped and then stomped the ground to rush forward. Twelve water mirror illusions rose from the sulfur mist, with magic spears of ice spikes thrusting at Sigurd’s nape from every angle.

Celtic tsunamis, netherworld cold currents, and starlight-turned vortexes poured down as liquid cages. Sigurd’s left eye had its blood-hued patterns expand, and the Glamir sword blade carved a rune matrix midair, evaporating the almost-liquefied space into sulfurous mist.

Subsequently, the Nordic Warrior King surged forward on a steam vortex, the trajectory of the sword edge igniting dusk flas, yet where it touched Finn’s heart, it lted out a large swath of water vapor.

——An illusion?

As Sigurd’s pupils contracted, Finn’s true form descended from the clouds, spear tip’s rainbow light piercing toward Sigurd’s right chest, leaving a fierce wound. At the sa ti, the anticipated trajectory was reflected in the latter’s pupils, who reversed his grip and swung a slash imbued with dusk fla, severing four water mirrors while the remaining fire turned Finn’s cloak into fluttering gray butterflies.

The first encounter, both sides were evenly matched.

Exchanging glances, the two separated figures simultaneously pushed their divine powers to the limit, pouring it all into the magic sword and magic spear in their hands.

“The wisdom of True God—Undefeated Purple Grass!”

“Dusk Burns Out—Bad Tribulation Glar!”

Erald and crimson twin flas soared skyward, the powerful wind pressure almost suffocating the mbers of the Fiona Battle Group.

“Retreat! Retreat now!”

Realizing that this was a battle beyond ordinary people, Ao Xiang decisively ordered the Fiona Battle Group to withdraw from the battlefield, to flank around from another side and continue searching for the location of the Alster Royal City.

“Boom!”

The erald flood and dusk tribulation flas collided in the distance, creating a horrifying annihilation reaction, with hurricanes raging, soil condensing into dark red crystals under the high temperature and pressure.

“Shouldn’t we wait a while for the Great Commander?”

In the forest, the son of Lugard, a burly warrior nicknad “Strong Hand,” gripped his great sword tightly, frowning as he asked Ao Xiang.

“There’s no ti, our presence has already been exposed, the enemy is deliberately ambushing us! The longer we stay in the wilderness, the more passive we’ll beco—we must find the location of the Royal City quickly and join with the Red Branch Knights!”

Ao Xiang answered solemnly, then added,

“Rest assured, the Great Commander is buying us ti, he won’t lose. Only if we safely leave can he retreat from the battlefield, don’t let his good intentions go to waste.”
