Lin Xue saw him stop and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Ling Feng replied, "I think I just felt sothing, right behind the door!"
"Please, don’t scare ..."
After all, Lin Xue was a girl, and she had already braced herself to enter, knowing well that this place was a tomb.
Now, with Ling Feng saying such things, her face instantly turned pale!
Ling Feng looked at her: "Don’t be afraid, I’m not talking about anything terrifying. There’s an object emitting energy fluctuations inside, and it feels really strange!"

With that, he stretched out his foot and kicked the wooden door.
This ti, the door didn’t fall apart but creaked slowly open.
One shine of the flashlight revealed the room’s interior at a glance.
It was a small room, and sure enough, there was a very large red coffin!
Seeing this, Lin Xue’s brows furrowed. Even though Ling Feng had spoken of possible treasures, she no longer wanted to go inside.
Ling Feng didn’t notice her expression and took her hand, starting to walk in.
Lin Xue had no choice; staying outside by herself felt even scarier. It would be better to be with him, so she followed reluctantly.
Once they entered the room, aside from the coffin, there were no other items. Ling Feng sighed, "It seems that the object is inside the coffin. The tomb owner must have valued it greatly to have placed it there."
"So, are you going to open the coffin now?" Lin Xue asked cautiously.
"Let’s open it and take a look. If it’s a relic, we’ll leave it. But I suddenly have a feeling that this might be sothing I can use," Ling Feng said after a mont’s thought.
"Alright then, but be careful, what if there are traps inside?" Lin Xue cautioned.
"No worries, just watch !"
Ling Feng smiled, took out the God Slayer Saber, and pried at the seam of the coffin lid!
"Creak!"
A dull sound echoed, circulating a few tis within the subterranean space before dissipating.
The previously unusually quiet environnt was thus disrupted.
After Ling Feng felt the lid move, he didn’t hesitate and pried it a few more tis with force.
The lid wasn’t heavy, and after it was loosened, he lifted it effortlessly, opening the coffin lid!
An odd scent wafted out, and Ling Feng’s brow furrowed imdiately!
"Hold the flashlight for ."
He turned to look at Lin Xue.
"Okay."
Lin Xue didn’t want to get closer, but now wasn’t the ti to be squeamish. She stepped forward and took the powerful flashlight from Ling Feng’s hand.
But she didn’t want to see what was inside the coffin, so she turned her head aside and then said, "You better hurry up, the sll is awful!"
"Got it, right away!"
Ling Feng had already spotted the dried-up corpse inside the coffin, its hands placed flat over its chest, holding a white Jade Token!
The Jade Token was of a very fine material and under the bright flashlight’s beam, it emitted a soft white light, appearing like a piece of clean fat.
Ling Feng didn’t stand on ceremony, reached out, and took the Jade Token. He had just muttered a word of appreciation when his whole body suddenly stiffened!
"What’s wrong with you?"
Lin Xue turned around and found him standing there in a daze, imdiately feeling puzzled.
"It’s, it’s nothing..."
Ling Feng managed a tight smile, but his heart had already set off towering waves!
Noticing his unusual behavior, Lin Xue pouted, "Why won’t you talk to ?"
"I’ll tell you when we get out!"
Ling Feng gave a wry smile, closed the coffin lid, and pulled her towards the exit.
Once they had left the Zhang family’s mansion, he began speaking to Lin Xue as they walked: "Don’t ntion to anyone that I found sothing just now!"
"Why not?" Lin Xue still looked curious.
"It’s a matter of great importance. I need to think it over before making any decisions. Rember, only the two of us can know about this; we can’t let a third person find out!" Ling Feng said in a grave tone.
He walked quickly, and Lin Xue, keeping pace, glanced at him.
Seeing the serious expression on Ling Feng’s face and the sternness in his eyes, she decided not to ask any more questions.
The two of them quickly climbed back to the surface along the rope. By then, the villagers in the yard had dispersed, as the police from the county had arrived and cordoned off the entire yard with isolation tape.
Lin Hu was informing Zhang Jianhua about the situation. Seeing Ling Feng carrying Lin Xue back, he imdiately stepped forward to ask, "What did you find?"
"There’s an ancient tomb below. We glanced inside but didn’t dare touch anything and ca right back," Ling Feng said.
"An ancient tomb?"
All present were taken aback upon hearing this!
Xiaohe Village is located by the river and surrounded by flat land. No one had imagined there would be an ancient tomb here.
Traditionally, the ancients were very particular about feng shui, believing that good locations required mountains and waters. But this place, by no ans, looked like it had any good feng shui.
"What’s the deal with this place, why bury sothing here? Maybe the cultural relics experts can figure it out. Captain Zhang, you’d better notify your superiors quickly," Ling Feng continued.
"Alright then."
Zhang Jianhua, upon hearing this, felt that it was beyond his jurisdiction and took out his phone.
After he finished the call, Ling Feng added, "Since everyone has been rescued, there’s nothing more for
here. I’m going to head ho."
"Okay, Ling Feng, thank you for today," Zhang Jianhua nodded.
"Captain Zhang, can I go ho too?" Lin Xue asked.
Zhang Jianhua looked at her. He originally wanted her to stay to maintain order, as the news of the discovery of the ancient tomb would not only attract people from Xiaohe Village but from neighboring villages as well!
But considering her relationship with Ling Feng, Zhang Jianhua nodded: "Okay, you can go ho too. You worked hard today."
"It’s nothing."
Lin Xue smiled, and left the household’s yard with Ling Feng.
Seeing the villagers approaching to express their gratitude, Ling Feng quickly waved his hand: "I understand how you all feel, but I have things to do and need to get ho quickly!"
Although reluctant to let them go, the crowd didn’t stop them and watched as he and Lin Xue got in the car and left the village.
As the car hit the highway, Lin Xue turned to Ling Feng, "Can you tell
now?"
"Not yet, wait till we get ho!"
Ling Feng’s eyes were fixed on the road ahead, his foot almost floored the accelerator!
The engine’s roar signified the intensity of his emotions, and seeing this, Lin Xue opted not to ask any further questions.
Soon, the car arrived back in Shiliu Village, and after the two entered the house and Ling Feng had closed the door, he said to Lin Xue: "I found the Gate of Heaven and Earth!"

At those four words, Lin Xue was stunned and stood frozen in place.
"With this thing appearing out of nowhere, I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing. What do you think? Should I hand it over to the authorities?" Ling Feng asked with a bitter smile.
