"I didn't lie to you elder, he is really the person you are looking for" a voice that sounded oddly familiar to Yang Chen rang out from behind the middle aged man who was referred to as elder Zhang han.
"You!!" the mont Yang Chen glanced at that person, he couldn't help but shout in shock.
"Hehe, we et again brat. I shall return your favour for attempting to kill today. Your luck ends here".
This person was none other Li Hao, the leader of the hunter band that tried to cause trouble for Yang Chen multiple tis.
This ti, he ca back again leading mbers of the Zhang clan with him.
Yang Chen's face turned ugly when he saw the lineup they brought with them specifically to hunt him. The power of this group was in no way comparable to the group that Zhang Wei brought with him.
What was going on, how could these catch up to him so fast? Were zhang wei and his team not the only ones who were sent after him? Even if they were, how did they track him down who was steadily moving deeper?
Yang Chen's mind was racing with nurous questions, but he would have to wait for an answer.
"Indeed...it appears that you were not lying to us" Zhang Zhan acknowledged nodding his head.
"Hehe... in that case elder, an I get the reward you promised?" Li Hao rubbed his palm and gave a bootlicking smile.
Zhang Zhan arched his brows, he was just about to say sothing when he was interrupted.
"How did you find ?" Yang Chen opened his mouth at this mont and asked. His wildly beating heart had finally settled down.
"Hm? I am amazed that you are able to speak when you were trembling just until a few seconds ago. Well, let fulfil your last wish then. You want to know how I tracked you? It was actually very simple, I found the bodies of the demonic beasts that you hunted and followed it".
"From there I just had to predict the direction where you would move based on your previous movents. It was not much of a work to track an inexperienced brat like you"
The hunter answered his query with a smile of victory on his face.
Demonic Beasts?! Yang Chen fell silent for a mont after hearing an unexpected answer. There was no reason for Li Hao to lie to him at this point, which ant that what he said must be true.
"Brat you must be wondering how I found the demonic beasts that you hunted right? It's simple, it's because you are not a hunter, you do not dismberer the beast nor do you harvest anything from their corpses. Do you understand what I'm hinting at?" Li Hao flaunted.
It was only after Li Hao explained that Yang Chen finally understood how the other party was able to track him down in this jungle. If they did follow the demonic beasts that he hunted, it was possible to track him.
"Tch, I told you. You should have walked in a roundabout direction instead of just heading straight all the ti" Amon chastised sitting on top of his shoulders.
It was just a simple thing, yet the enemy was able to find a clue from it and track it back to him. What Li Hao said made complete sense.
Unlike the hunters who dive inside the star fall jungle to hunt the demonic beasts and harvest their bodies, Yang Chen simply hunted them for experience and left their bodies intact.
It needs to be ntioned that the corpses of the demonic beast were quite an item in itself and every part of it was marketable. Most of the people who dive here co with the goal to hunt demonic beasts and sell their parts to make a living.
No sane hunter would ever leave their reward behind without harvesting it completely. Yet Yang Chen never harvested the demonic beat coprses, he never felt a need to dismber their body and collect their parts.
So what would happen if one saw not one, but corpses lying on the ground all intact? Of course, they would think it was very unusual. Experienced hunters like Li Hao who dived inside the jungle on a daily basis would be able to easily connect the dots and relate it to him.
Given the obvious trail, it was all too easy for Li Hao to pursue him. From there, it's like what he said, he just needed to predict the direction where Yang Chen would go next and ambush him on the path.
Since the target only heads straight, the prediction would hardly go awry.
For his enemy to track him so easily, one could clearly see how inexperienced Yang Chen was when it ca to real life experience like this.
"I knew you would be tracked down if you leave a trail like that but I didn't think that it would be this soon"
Amon wasn't surprised by how the hunter leader was able to track Yang Chen. In fact, he had long predicted that soone would exploit that trail.
"If you knew that sothing like this would happen, why didn't you tell about it?" Yang Chen asked. To the mbers of the Zhang clan who couldn't see Amon, his behaviour of talking to himself seed quite bizarre.
"That's because I was hoping for soone to open your eyes and teach you through a life lesson. But I didn't expect the one to teach you that lesson first would be the people from the Zhang clan" Amon replied deviously.
The devious plan of this demon made Yang Chen speechless, he could not ascertain whether this guy was his ally or enemy.
The demon wanted sobody to co knock so sense into him just to make him realise that?
While Yang Chen was having second thoughts about Amon, Zhang Zhan and Li Hao resud their conversation.
"Haha, we were interrupted. So, Elder Zhang Zhan you were about to give a reward for my work" Li Hao scratched his head and brought up the previous topic shalessly.
"Right, you have done a good job leading us to this brat. For that, you must be rewarded. Zhang Bu hand him his reward" Zhang Zhan called out to Zhang Bu.
