There was no bright light, no appearance of the grand array nor the deep resonant sound of the bells that sounded like the cries of hundreds of demons and angels.
The bell on the young man’s hand was unable to break the array. When the crowd saw that, they imdiately beca disheartened.

Inside the tower, Yang Chen perford a few back jumps before stabilising himself. He only sighed in relief after seeing no one pass through the gate.
"That was a close call. Thanks to your quick thinking, we were able to get inside without any problem" Yun flew over while giving a thumbs up.
Tang Xun’er looked at him in concern, worried that he might have injured himself to stop the enemy.
"I am alright. Anyways, let’s focus on what’s in front of us. This place seems to be the first floor of the tower"
Yang Chen looked around. The inside of the tower was ancient and looked like it was made of wood. The place was dimly lit by the many crystals hanging from the pillars and other than a few complex letters on the walls, there was nothing else.
Empty... the entire place was empty.
"Let’s go to the next floor" he comnted.
At the end of the hall, they could see a long spiralling stairs that led to the floor above. Tang Xun’er nodded her head and so, the two of them made their over to the stairs and to the next floor.
When they reached the first floor of the tower, they were amazed to find that the entire place was surrounded by a powerful formation. Once they got in, they were unable to leave.
In front of them, was a large abyss that disappeared into the darkness and floating stones were placed in the air in a sequential manner.
At the end of the hall were the stairs that led to the next floor. If they wanted to get to the stairs, they had to travel through these stones.
"It looks like a special formation has been set up in here. If I am not wrong, it’s the Ice Wind Tempest" Yun ntioned flying over to where the floating stones were. As a demonic Spirit, he was unaffected by this formation.
"Ice Wind Tempest? What’s that?" Tang Xun’er questioned.
"Ice wind tempest is a formation that creates extrely troubleso and powerful cold winds that attack any practitioner trying to pass through it. Usually, this kind of formation is used in the ancient tis to protect one’s sect" Yun explained.

After his explanation, the first one to jump to the stepping stone was Tang Xun’er. As soon as she stepped on the stepping stone, the formation activated and icy cold wind started brewing all around the place.
Occasionally, they would twist and twirl before heading towards her.
"The strength of the ice wind is inadequate here for soone of your level. You need to proceed to a few more stones to fully avail the benefits of this formation".
Tang Xun’er did as she was told and quickly jumped over a couple of stones. When she was only a few stones away from reaching the other end of the hall, she finally stopped before sitting down on that stone and starting cultivation.
Yang Chen looked at her from the other end of the hall before choosing to head in as well. This was not his first ti entering a tower that was created for training battle practitioners.
The infernal battle Tower he entered to fight for a spot in the holy orchard academy, was also one place which used so kind of chanism to train the disciples.
