Both the penalties for breaking the taboo were quite serious. One could get you killed the other might get you detained for a lifeti.
Yang Chen nodded his head, others might feel a strong expulsion against practising alchemy of such type; however, he who was already a heretical cultivator practising dark and chaos type battle skills, did not feel any opposition from this type of pills.
On the contrary, when he heard that this type of pill might increase his strength when consud, he beca more interested in researching it. In any case, unlike the native people of this world, Yang Chen harboured a more open mind.
That said, the penalties were still too severe as such, when he does want to research it, he would have to make sure to be careful.
"Alright, I have mostly told you everything an alchemist should know. If you have any questions or anything you want to request from the Alchemist Association, you can ask or Elder Du here"
Yao Dian stated in a friendly manner. Although the benefits of a tier 3 alchemist was extrely useful, there was nothing in particular that he wanted to request from the association.
"In that case, may I ask what this young friend intends to do next?" Facing the question, Yang Chen was silent.
It was a foolish move to tell soone where you are going next, since if they have ill intentions they might use this information against you. He pondered whether he should tell the branch master what his next objective was before deciding to reveal it.
In any case, he didn’t sense any ill intent from the branch master. What’s more, in the future he might even have to rely on the association to realise his wants. Since that was the case, Yang Chen decided to tell him his next destination.
"Oh? You are a student of the Holy Orchard Academy? I see then I guess we will be seeing each other more often" Yao Dian stroked his beard and acted mysteriously.
"I have achieved my objective here, as such I will take my leave" Yang Chen cupped his hands before turning around and leaving.
From the corner of his eyes, he could see the little girl sticking out her tongue towards him. After he left the hall, the three people in addition to a little girl, stood there silently staring at his back figure disappear inside the building.
"Sigh, youth these days are more talented than us old tirs. I feel like it wouldn’t be long before we have to retire and let the youths take over our role"
Yao Dian muttered thinking about the events of the day and the youth who destroyed all of his preconceived understanding and the little lady standing prettily next to old ye.
"Haha, I’m in a good mood now. How about we continue the conversation we were having in my workplace".
Old Ye nodded his head while i’er grumbled.
Outside the alchemist association, Yang Chen stretched his body and took a deep breath of air. The atmosphere inside the association was quite stifling for him especially when there was such a powerful person like i’er’s master there.
Although the latter emitted no aura, simply knowing that they were of a considerably high level put a great deal of pressure on him. It was not due to a guilty conscience or thoughts of actually practising heretical pills; no, it was nothing of the sort.
Turning behind to see if anyone was tailing him, Yang Chen quickly disappeared from the place. After a while, he appeared in a market that was closest to the nearest gate and slowly made his way out.
"It looks like sothing is going on in the city"
Amon ntioned looking around. On their way, they noticed multiple groups of people possessing strong auras, rushing everywhere around the city. They were going around questioning and visiting every establishnt in the city as if searching for sothing.
Not only that, they could be seen everywhere. Market, living district, gates... they were blocking every part of the city.
What was going on? Yang Chen narrowed his eyes. Looking at their action, he had a bad premonition. The event of this morning that slipped his mind thanks to the tumultuous event that occurred in the alchemist association, returned to him at this mont.
That’s right, just this morning while trying to satiate his hunger, he had inadvertently offended soone who looked like he held quite so influence.

Jumping at the opportunity, Yang Chen arrived before that person and placed his hand on their head like a claw.
"[Soul’s Tiless Archive]" he muttered inside his mind. Imdiately his soul energy invaded the other party’s mind. Since their cultivation was only around Four Star Battle Master, Yang Chen was easily able to break their defences and overwhelm their mind.
After that, it was all just a piece of cake for him to extract the information.
