Under the violent attacks of Wu Zhong, the area where they were fighting was instantly turned into a place with huge cracks and ravines running through the ground.
Yang Chen couldn’t be careless for even a second, he dodged every attack with his Advanced Completion [Ghost Steps] and didn’t let the blade of the axe touch him.
With his undying ability, he could recover from even the most gravest of wounds. However, the healing depended on his battle energy and facing an opponent who was a whole realm and two minor realms above him, he couldn’t expend his battle energy reserves without thinking.
Not to ntion there was another opponent at the sa level as the bandit chieftain here.
"You slippery loach... stop running and fight "
Frustrated at how his enemy was dodging his every attack, Wu Zhong beca even more agitated. Battle Energy gushed out of his body with a rumbling noise and enveloped the battlefield.
Watching everything a few distance away, Yan Hong made a strange face. He was trying to figure out who the enemy was and what kind of background they had. However, no matter how hard he thought, he was unable to figure out anything.
None of the people he knew of, matched with the appearance of the young man in front of him.
This could only an one thing and given how young the enemy was and their high level, he was even more certain. To be able to raise a monster like that who else other than ’those clans’ would be able to do so?
"Wu Zhong, be careful... that young man, his background isn’t ordinary"
He cautioned. However, the current Wu Zhong didn’t have the right state of mind to heed his warning. He continued to bombard Yang Chen with all of his power with the intensity of a beast.

Everything that was in the path of the attack, was either swept away or crushed under that attack.
HUFF... HUFF... the battle axe ca down as Wu Zhong panted finally showing so signs of fatigue. Clouds of dust loitered all around him as he looked for signs of the intruder.
The [Crimson Slaughter Slash] was one of his most powerful battle skills that covered a large area, there was no way the young man would be able to dodge that.

Just as he was in the middle of his thoughts, Yan Hong’s warning ca waking him up.
Almost at the sa instant, the dust towards his left was swept away and the figure of Yang Chen appeared.
The Three Star Sword was already in his hands enveloped in dazzling blue flas. ’[Flare Blitz] [Great Napalm Command]’ Yang Chen muttered internally activating Simultaneous Activation.
The pale blue fla burned even faster and hotter as it ca sweeping towards Wu Zhong.
Whoosh...the bandit was instantly enveloped by the flas and burned alive. His screams echoed through the area like a dark symphony.
’Did it get him?’ Yang Chen shook his head and imdiately forced those thoughts away. How could a Three Star Battle Grandmaster be dealt with so easily?
Even if he used Simultaneous Activation it was unlikely that he would be able to kill them in a single hit. Especially since the opponent also had that annoying armour on them.
It was just like he thought after that initial yell the screams stopped coming and to his surprise, his flas that were a result of Simultaneous Activation were pushed away and the figure of the bandit chieftain walked out from it.
Although his skin was burned here and there and smoke ca out of his body, the injuries weren’t fatal enough to render him incapable of fighting.
However, this wasn’t the only surprising thing about him, the mont he ca out of those flas, it was as if the entire aura around him had changed. Their strength had spiked and there was a crimson energy enveloping their body like a defensive cloak.
Facing that Wu Zhong, Yang Chen felt the pressure intensify.
"Hoh, it seems they are finally serious" Amon made a casual remark.
"What did he do? It doesn’t look like the ability of the armour?" Yang Chen turned towards the demon and questioned.
"It’s not an ability of the armour, but their own. When one reaches the Battle Grandmaster class, the battle energy becos so dense that they can envelop themselves in it, forming a layer of cloak of sorts that increases their defensive capabilities and stopping most attacks".
At Amon’s explanation, he finally understood what happened. So the other party used the cloak around them to stop his flas.
To be able to hold so much battle energy, no wonder he felt the pressure intensify from the bandit chieftain all of a sudden.
That said, even though he knew what his opponent did, it did not change the fact that it beca more annoying to deal with them. He was already having trouble dealing with the armour but now he also had to think of a way to penetrate that cloak.
Given how they stood tall even after taking on his flas, anything less than his all wouldn’t have any effect on them. Yang Chen was clear on this part; however, instead of getting swallowed up by despair, he felt exhilaration coursing through his body.
Every nerve and cell of his body beca even more excited at the challenge of facing an opponent far stronger than him.
It was as if a gear within him had shifted and the gar instinct kicked in. He couldn’t wait to defeat the area boss that was Wu Zhong.
To match his opponent’s increase in strength, Yang Chen intensified his own attacks in response. He utilised the full strength of his current level and simultaneously activated multiple battle skills.
