Montville, Jennings Family.

"Young master? The old master has already retired for the night."

"Young master..."

"Young master!"

The butler and bodyguards couldn’t stop Henry Jennings, who knocked them to the ground with a single punch.

"Old Master, I must thank you once again for your support." In the living room, Jayden Grant was having tea with the old master.

The old master of the Jennings Family had bailed Jayden Grant out, so it was only natural for him to visit and express his gratitude.

Jayden Grant and his mother have always wanted to take what originally belonged to Ethan Grant, so gaining support from the company directors and business partners is particularly important.

Over the years, Ethan Grant has been suppressing Jayden Grant firmly, and to establish a connection with the Jennings Family, he exploited the Bell and Jennings families’ relationships, sparing no cost.

"Jayden, you’re a good child. It’s because Grandpa asked you for help that you got into trouble this ti." Old Master Jennings chuckled. "Stay for dinner tonight before you leave," he added.

"Alright, Grandpa." Jayden Grant nodded obediently.

There were sounds of commotion outside as Henry Jennings entered with a somber expression.

"Did you arrange for soone to take Yvette Aston from my place?" Henry Jennings asked in a deep voice.

The old master’s face imdiately fell. "Your Grandpa Bell is still here; what kind of attitude is this?"

Henry Jennings pushed away the butler trying to stop him and glanced at the guests in the house.

"The Bell Family used against a woman; they really outdid themselves." Henry Jennings tugged at his tie. "Claudia Bell disregards the law, beats people into disability, and has even led bullying episodes. Her character and upbringing are quite evident. Our Jennings Family will never let such a woman in."

Henry Jennings pointed at Jayden Grant and turned to leave.

If anything happens to Yvette Aston, he’ll go after Jayden Grant’s life.

Jayden Grant frowned, looking very displeased.

It was surprising that Henry Jennings would make such a scene in front of both families’ elders for soone like Yvette Aston.

"Henry Jennings, you stop right there!" Old Master Jennings shouted in anger.

Henry Jennings paused in his steps, looked back at the butler, and said, "Take care of the old master. If his blood pressure gets high, give him his dicine."

"Old Jennings, what do you make of this..." asked Grandpa Bell, embarrassed by Henry Jennings’ attitude.

"Still too young, not yet stable, too impetuous," Old Master Jennings said with a gloomy face, giving Jayden Grant a glance. "This Yvette Aston, she’s quite sothing."

Jayden Grant quickly nodded. "Indeed, Yvette Aston is extrely good at disguise and deceit. Both our Grant Family and the Aston Family have been played by her, and President Jennings might have been montarily deceived as well."

"I heard that Yvette Aston’s illegitimate child is Henry Jennings’," Grandpa Bell said in a low voice.

Old Master Jennings was taken aback for a mont and looked up at his assistant. "There’s another child?"

"Yes..." the assistant said, bowing nervously. "President Jennings doesn’t allow anyone to talk about it, so..."

"I believe there’s a strong chance that the child is not Henry Jennings’, and this Yvette Aston has used her sweet talk and deceit to make Henry Jennings so attentive to her, clearly employing so kind of sche," Grandpa Bell said indifferently as he got up to leave. "The marriage between the two families is set. I regard Henry Jennings as just being young."

"Grandpa, I’ll accompany Grandpa Bell back first. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call ," Jayden Grant said, standing up to support Grandpa Bell. "Please take care of Claudia on your end, Old Master Jennings."

Once the family mbers had left, the old master’s eyes turned dark. "Go check that child and see if Henry Jennings has been deceived."

...

"President Jennings, Jayden Grant had people take Yvette Aston to an abandoned warehouse in the outer ring and attempt to harm her..."

"Miss Yvette escaped. A person jogging at night ntioned seeing Yvette covered in blood, with a long cut on her neck. They were terrified."

"Yvette borrowed a bystander’s phone to make this call. I checked; it was Ethan Grant’s number."

Sitting in the car, Ben Ziegler spoke softly, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel.

These people are truly disgusting to treat a woman like that.

"Ethan Grant’s number?" Henry Jennings asked in a deep voice.

"Yes..."

Henry Jennings leaned back in the seat, slowly closing his eyes.

Yvette Aston actually contacted Ethan Grant instead of him.

When clearly, she could have called him.

"To ridia," Henry Jennings said as he slowly opened his eyes, his gaze profound.

Yvette Aston is his. No one should think they can take her away from him.

He expended so much effort, wearing down her sharp edges, to finally make her willing to rely on him.

Does Ethan Grant want to challenge him for her now? It’s out of the question.

...

ridia, Aegis Kindergarten.

Yvette Aston arrived at the school gate at five thirty in the afternoon, ready to pick up Sumrs from school.

"Miss Aston? Sumrs got into a fight with a classmate in the classroom and injured them. Please... co in," said the teacher from the student life departnt, already waiting at the school gate for Yvette Aston.

Yvette Aston’s face turned pale instantly, and she nervously followed the teacher into the office of student affairs.

"Sumrs."

Sumrs stood in a corner, head down, his clothes dirty; it was obvious he had been in a fight.

At the other corner, Stephen Sinclair stood proudly in his branded outfit, exuding the aura of a rich young master. "Bad woman, thief, beggar."

Sumrs’ eyes reddened, and he clenched his fists.

If Stephen Sinclair hadn’t pushed him to the brink, he wouldn’t have fought back.

"Mom, I’m sorry..." Seeing Yvette Aston arrive, Sumrs cried.

He was afraid of causing trouble for his mom and getting scolded by her.

"Is Sumrs hurt?" Yvette Aston squatted in front of Sumrs, asking softly if he was hurt instead of questioning why he fought.

Sumrs shook his head, eyes still red.

"Miss Aston, Sumrs hit Stephen Sinclair, and now Stephen’s face is swollen. His parents are on their way here, and his mother wants an explanation. It’s best you give the Sinclair Family an account," the head of student affairs said in a deep voice, clearly favoring Stephen Sinclair.

"My son won’t hit soone for no reason," Yvette Aston said, holding Sumrs while checking him over. Seeing Sumrs also had an injury at the corner of his eye, she looked up at the teacher. "Both kids are hurt from the fight. Why are we the ones having to explain? Who’s going to give an explanation?"

"Miss Aston, Stephen Sinclair’s father is Chase Sinclair, the president of the Sinclair Group, and his mother is Chelsea Grant, a daughter of the Grant Group," the teacher reminded Yvette Aston.

Who ought to provide the explanation? Power, obviously.

"Mom... he spoke badly about you first. He called a bastard and said you stole things," Sumrs said, wiping his tears. He wouldn’t allow anyone to speak ill of his mother.

Yvette Aston’s fingers turned slightly numb; over the years, she had learned to swallow all grievances quietly.

The Sinclair Family and the Grant Family were not people she could afford to offend, and she thought of humbly pleading for leniency to avoid bigger issues.

But could she let her child endure wrongdoing when he was willing to defend her at any cost?

"As a teacher... did you find out who initiated the trouble?" Yvette Aston asked hoarsely. "If Stephen Sinclair hadn’t provoked Sumrs, Sumrs wouldn’t have hit him."

"I did provoke him, bad woman, thief, all you know is stealing other people’s dads. My mom says you’re the dirtiest, disgusting," Stephen Sinclair taunted, sticking his tongue out at Sumrs.

"Stephen." At the office door, Chelsea Grant arrived, her voice urgent. "Who had the nerve to touch my son?"
