Capítulo 1464: Chapter 1431: Past and Present Lives 29
Qiao Xiaren reached out to hold the glass of water and poured it all down her throat, still feeling very thirsty. Si Limo poured her another glass of water.
“Be careful, drink slowly.”
It felt as though her body had been asleep for a long ti, making her feel heavy and her throat hoarse: “What happened to ?”
Qiao Xiaren, lacking strength, relied entirely on Si Limo, leaning her whole body against him, with her weak head resting on his shoulder.
She was so tired that she couldn’t muster the energy to open her eyes, just half-squinting them open.
“Your health is in bad shape; pneumonia went untreated for a while, so you need to stay in the hospital to recover.” Si Limo reached out and gently patted her back, “Stay in the hospital for a few days. Your health check found a lot of issues.”
Qiao Xiaren didn’t say anything. She had been feeling unwell before, thinking it was just a common cold.
Every year, she caught a cold once, usually getting through it, not thinking much of it.
It was when she started to feel pain while running, which got worse until she couldn’t hold out any longer.
“For the next month or two, don’t train anymore; your health is more important.” Si Limo reminded her, “Don’t run around before the pneumonia is healed; it will hurt, you know?”
“Mm.”
Being cared for so ticulously for the first ti, Qiao Xiaren felt a strange discomfort and a bit of heartache. Aren’t people emotional creatures?
Besides her master, he’s the best to her.
Sotis she even had so ridiculous thoughts, thinking it wouldn’t be bad to live like this forever. So people are easily won over by goodwill, but not her.
For people like her who lack care and warmth, the more they lack, the harder it is to be moved. But this person has basically arranged everything for her, taking care of all details.
“Get up and eat sothing.”
Si Limo picked her up. Earlier, he had guessed she would wake up, so he bought so porridge and other light foods. She was ill, outwardly appearing okay, but in fact, quite weak.
The doctor prescribed a large batch of dicine. He read all the instructions carefully, almost morizing the dosages. Does this girl really not know how bad her own health has gotten?
The ward was very quiet, and Qiao Xiaren sipped the porridge slowly, her head still feeling a bit dizzy. She had just fainted inexplicably on the training ground, and Maria must be very worried about her.
“When can I be discharged?”
“Don’t rush; let’s see what the doctor says first.” Si Limo of course knew what she was thinking, “Get rid of all those lingering ailnts in your body first, then go back.”
He sat by her side, peeling an apple.
He seed to have a compulsion; he wouldn’t allow the apple skin to break. Watching Qiao Xiaren sip the porridge, a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth before quickly vanishing.
“Take the dicine half an hour after eating.” Si Limo handed her the apple, while also sorting the various categories of dicine, stacking them almost like a small hill.
Qiao Xiaren’s first reaction was shock, finishing it all in one go?
Did he think she was a dicine jar? In fact, she had been one. If she didn’t cooperate with the doctor’s treatnt now, she would suffer in the second half of her life.
She hesitated and glanced at Si Limo, seeing that he had no intention of compromising, felt her scalp tingling.
“Are you afraid of bitterness?”
Qiao Xiaren kept staring at him intently, and Si Limo, helpless under her gaze: “Even if you’re afraid of bitterness, you have to take it. Do you still need coaxing like a child?”
