Jennifer Snowhail woke up at the middle of the night with a drowsy head.
Soone was ringing the bell.
Jennifer subconsciously looked up at the clock and saw it was beyond 1 AM. She raised her brow in concern.
‘Who would co so late at night and why?’
She got up and was about to step out to the living room. That was when she saw her reflection in the mirror, she was only wearing a casual nightgown.
It was late and her house, which was why she was so easy.
She frowned again at that and wore a coat to hide her figure. On the way outside, she picked up a wooden bat and wore her Blue Sigmat ring.
Nowadays she heard rumors of bandits coming in late at night, acting like they needed help and when the door opens… bang! The owner gets robbed. If the case was of a woman then it’s even worse. She would be raped and robbed at the sa ti.

She shook her head and questioned loudly, “I’m not opening the door, get lost scoundrel!”
“Jennifer, I know we don’t have a healthy relationship. But you really shouldn’t turn away a grave man.”
Jennifer was surprised at the ntion of her na.

‘Why is everyone talking about fate today, is fate really being a bitch to right now?’

Then he heard his voice again.

“Own you, I own you nothing bandit!” Jennifer scread and her grip tightened on the bat, “Now if you don’t leave, I will scream and everyone will co out to beat you.”
“Bandit… what the hell are you talking about?” The person said, “I’m not whatever you think I am. I’m Henry… i’m henry van tax, your student.” The person’s voice beca smaller at the ntion of his na.
“Henry Van…” Jennifer lowered her bat as she slowly rembered the na, “Henry? What are you doing here?”
“Would you please for the goddess’s sake open the door first.”

Jennifer went ahead and was about to unlock when she looked through the hidden eye. She had to check whether it was the real Henry or soone impersonating as him.

“Henry, what are you doing here?” Seeing it was actually Henry at her door, she asked, “And why so late?”

After a while, I was now inside Jennifer’s ho, sitting on the couch as she sat in front of in a single chair. She was looking at with beady eyes.
“So… how have you been?” I give a smile.
“I’ve been oka- Wait! Don’t do that.” Jennifer said, “Answer my questions first-”
“Okay, before you start firing them… why don’t we have so refreshnts, first?” I ask her, “What do you like, tea or coffee? I like both but prefer coffee at current mont.”

“It’s beyond 1’O clock, it’s better to get so coffee to keep yourself away.”
“…Alright, I’d want so coffee then.”

“You’re not going to make it, are you.” Her eagle like sharp eyes aid.
“Hey, it’s your house. I can’t go around invading your space.”
Jennifer sighed as she got up, muttering, ‘But you’d make get you coffee.’
“With four sugar cubes.”
“Four?” She turned around in exasperation, “Why don’t I add four more?”
“If it doesn’t bother you.”

After so ti, she finally brought fresh cup of coffee for us both as I take a whiff of it.

“Are you going to answer now or do you want biscuits too.”
“Well, it certainly wouldn’t-” Her face darkened instantly and I cough, “I an, ask freely.”
Jennifer sighed and took a mont to think before spraying them on .
“Where have you been? Why did you not co to the academy all this ti? Why are you here right now and why do I hear about you joining a crusade against the freaking bandit king?”
“Okay, okay, that’s too many questions at the sa ti.” I say and think about her questions before rearranging them in mind, “And to answer your first question, it seems you already know I was fighting the bandit king.”
“Why?”
“Why, what do you an ‘Why?’ The Religias House called in to help and bring a model citizen, I answered.”
“Model Citizen…” Jennifer’s eyes continued staring at as she sipped her coffee, “Let’s believe for a second, that’s true. When did you leave then?”
“The Religias House is in Whitedon which takes 10 or more days to travel. But it seed that you were already there, before they even called for help, so what is it?”
“Did you go there because they called for help or were you there for a different reason?”
I was quiet for a mont before smiling wide, “You’re quite smart, Jennifer. I have to give a point for figuring it out.”
“Of course, they don’t keep at the academy so perverts like you could watch my back while I write on the board.”
I frown, “This is the second ti a woman has called pervert today besides doing nothing to them. And about the back part… my eyes were quite sensitive to white that day so I was looking at you.”
“I rember wearing a white dress.”
“But your underwear was black.”
Jennifer’s face reddened as she gritted her teeth, “You were looking at my underwear!”
“Forget about that, you should be glad that young folk like are looking at you instead of the board.”
“…” Jennifer was speechless; she was angry about his behavior but couldn’t say anything to argue against.
She shook her head, not letting him get to her, “Alright, no nonsense now, tell why are you here?”
“I was wondering if I could stay here for a while.”
“Why?” Her eyes scrutinized , “What did you do?”
“Nothing illegal.”
“Really?”
“Absolutely” I seriously nod, “It was sothing very legal but it ended up giving huge trouble.”
“How huge?”
“It’s better if you not know.”
“So let get this straight.” Jennifer put her cup down and clasped her hands, “You don’t co to class for over a month, go sowhere to fight a war, co at my house deep at midnight and don’t even tell the cause of it?”
“Now that you say it like that, it indeed sounds like I’m fucking with you.” I laugh at the awkward conclusion.

“Alright, I’ll tell you.” I sigh and look at her seriously.
“I killed soone.”
Jennifer inhaled sharply.
“But it was totally legal, I promise.”

Jennifer wasn’t sure if she would wake up from this nightmare if she pinched herself.
Seeing Henry’s shaless smile made it even harder.
