People say that speaking is the greatest tool of humanity. It was through speaking that we ca to understand each other, share our knowledge, and grow as human beings. But even such words have their limits. Sotis, these words can barely convey your perspective and your understanding to your peers.
Who will end up treating you like a fool, just like Remira was treated at this mont? The Radiant Order, they were known for being zealots when it ca to purging the corrupted. Although there were sensible ones who could control their hate, they were among the rarity.
Remira can be considered lucky enough to enter the state where she can hold in her desires as Radiant Knight, and have the will to look at things from an entirely different perspective. ’He wished to die before.’ She turned and looked toward the Dragon woman who slowly disappeared and then into the distance.
’I said I will kill him if he is detrintal to my goal.’ She recalled the first ti she t Farhad. A lost boy who was scared for understandable reasons, which she had co to relate more and more.
His fear was genuine, the enemy he wished to deal with was too much not only for him but most of the world. However, due to her own prejudice and fears, she treated this boy who ca to ask her for help badly.
Instead of telling him that he didn’t need to die, she decapitated him again and again fearing his growth. Which in hindsight might have concrete reasoning behind them, but it did more harm than good.
The boy who was growing stronger was against her enemy just like she was.
’I should have been supportive.’ That was the mont so distance might have been forming. Although both were ignorant of it, Farhad probably built up defenses due to his harsh treatnt from Remira. He understood that he won’t be accepted by soone like Remira, and even the rest of the world due to how odd he was.
That slowly makes him turn to the only guy that did give him a life that can be considered normal. A life where he was respected, a life where he had freedom.
On that boat during her escape from Yethel, Remira had learned of what happened to Farhad later, and how he was living before rescuing her. How even with the past he carried, the country, no, the jester had accepted him like a friend, letting him live the most normal life he could.
Sadly, he was forced to abandon it out of confusion.
Part of which Remira had started to consider after her recent stint in Rudrain. The disaster had made her more insightful about her own past actions, letting her notice the mistakes she made and how she could have done a far better job than now.
’If I had done things right, Number 2 would have been alive as well.’ She thought, rembering the anger of Farhad as that foolish Number 2 was forced to follow that Dwarf and Sheva back into the Yethel.
As for what happened later? She didn’t wish to talk about it, for it was too painful.
"I have made enough mistakes... I won’t repeat them again." There was no overbearing confidence in her eyes, no arrogance of her bloodline to strength. Remira at this mont appeared as a normal girl who could stand in the air.
And that was the scene that Farhad found after reaching the destination. "It’s odd for you to be aware of my destination." He spoke, slightly confused though not surprised as he had long known that he would be followed by the parties that were vested in him as well as the fla he carried.
This can be seen by how there were a bunch of priests and Military Knights not too far from him. As for the Radiant Knights, he was wondering why there were none behind him. But that was answered soon after.
It would seem they had been aware of his destination since the start and had sent soone powerful enough to deal with him. "I had expected it would be that Vance guys," Farhad spoke with so disappointnt.
But Remira only stared at the sizzling piece of humanoid bat that kept regenerating and lting under the purification light of the Sun.
"What have you beco?" In the scene, the creature is far from what Remira rembers. Calling it human would be too much. But calling it a monster would be a cri against the monsters themselves.
The thing that Farhad was can only be considered to be sothing unnatural. Which made her waver in her goal for a mont. But the mont Farhad spoke again. "I am what I was ant to be." The tone of that voice told Remira all she wanted to know.
’He is still the sa old guy inside.’
"You were ant to be a monster? I rember you preferring death more than a life like this?" She asked, curious about what changed with Farhad. Though she didn’t get a response only silence followed by. "Are you here to stop from going inside, or are you here to talk?" He asked, his nails growing big and his muscles bulging and then bursting to form evener arms with sickles at the end.
The threat was clear, due to how Remira had treated him before, he didn’t have patience for her words anymore. Though not intend to kill her, he also had no desire to spare her if she got in his way.
Which did appear odd to Remira. "The hatred truly turned to love... but any more words won’t go through you... so I need to beat you down before having a proper dialog." It was a tad bit disappointing to see that what she had feared all those years ago actually ended up happening. Although lacking context over the life that Farhad had lived since their last eting and only hearing so excerpts from Vance during the war. She knows that things are not so clear.
But it didn’t an you have to turn to the very man who ruined your life, the man who killed your father, just because this man showed you a little bit of love.
Sothing she could have done, the world could have done to Farhad for, maybe things might have been a lot different.
Sadly, the words were not enough when the emotions were so high, specifically for Farhad.
Which is where the battle began. With a sword in hand and flas that covered her entire body, Remira turned into a streak of white that drowned even the sunlight when she cleaved Farhad’s body in two in a single attack without holding back. Before turning around and going in for round two.
But before she could move, she felt pain on her forehead, as well as drops of blood that started pouring out. "Huh?"
Which gave enough ti for Farhad’s falling body that had been cleaved in two to rge back together and grow out new organs and mandibles. "I am not good at air combat." His words were truly genuine.
Rarely has he ever fought in the sky and to maintain most of his flight operations, an enormous amount of energy and focus was wasted on his end. Not to ntion the need to hollow the bones and decrease the density of his flesh for a lighter body. Making him far easier to injure.
And he did get injured, never expecting Remira’s move to be so fast as well as brutal, he was completely rendered useless for a bit until he ca to a single conclusion. ’No chance of winning in the air.’ Although he had been able to hit her in the head. The injury caused was too light without any montum behind it, hence it couldn’t dig deeper into her skull.
But once on the ground, abandoning the weak flesh from a stronger and denser one, growing the scales that directly protected Farhad from the purification of the sun, and then entering the optimized mode he had developed through battle.
A mode where he was more of a hound than a human, a hound that changes his shapes and body often mid-battle, adapting to all kinds of situations.
Which for so reason mirrored high-ranked Ghouls, though far bulkier and faster.
Showcasing the true nature of the course that was imprinted in Farhad’s body.
Which didn’t go unnoticed by Remira. Her senses were far sharper than others since the start, and she understood at this mont, although this form of Farhad didn’t look as odd as his previous one.
Currently, Farhad is in his peak form. Which might even threaten her.
"You truly have grown up." Though it would be a lie to say that only Farhad had grown up.
With a burst of speed, Remira arrived in front of Farhad, though she looked far different than before. Now covered in a white fur made up of flas, she was followed by an equally threatening phantom of a wolf that followed her action from behind.
A phantom that did share similarities to the one-eyed monster that Remira had once turned into with the only difference being a more humanoid form that held a longer sword than the one in Remira’s hand, as well as three eyes instead of one.
This was Remira’s Unique ability that she derived from her bloodline once she reached the ranks of Grandmaster. A technique unique to her which she nad Phantom Beast incarnation. A technique built upon not only abandoning the bloodline talent that each Radiant Knight would unlock in her ranks but devouring that talent and rging it into her own.
