This knight was not wrong, regenerating a heart was not possible until I tap into the bloodline power that exist in my body, letting it take over my creation in body and thought. Giving it a chance to infect , just like it did Max.
So I was never going to entertain such stupid thoughts. It’s death for , a true death that I can’t recover from. This blood was a two-edged sword that would harm if I was not careful. Which might make one wonder, how did I survive and revived myself?
The answer to it was simple.
’It was good adding another heart, just in case.’ This body was not completely organic. Partially artificial and by shortening the sizes of so organs by cutting them apart and stitching them together. Although it makes most of the regular physical harder in the start, it still gave the engineers to add so more things to make my body better.
One among them was none other than a blood pump, which in case of heart injury would temporarily take its place, helping my body maintain so normal function until the help arrives.
’I have around thirty minutes.’ The loss of blood was imnse, not to ntion, this blood pumps actually failed to start on its own in ti. If not for sacrificing a bunch of rats in ti to finally start the blood pump, I would have truly died today.
"Mister, we better not wait. We should reach the city soon." I said with a voice, urging the Knight Avichai, who seed to have noticed my oddity.
He was a good soldier, but too strict and not ant for the world of espionage. So he had been kept in the dark about my existence, just like many others like him.
A normal soldier on the level of a Grandmaster. A perfect being for this job.
And as I expected, although he acted a bit curious, knowing what his mission was and the importance Sheva and I were given, he won’t ask questions. Just like a good soldier, he took us to our destination.
And as we were brought into the camp, I could see her. Remira in chains, slowly being led away while surrounded by security. She saw , the blood on my clothes, she could probably sll what happened to .
I died and ca back in simple terms, while she lived and got captured.
But compared to Sheva, I was an ignorable insect in her eyes. Giving a little look, she had turned her head toward Sheva. Disappointed over the fact that the two of us were captured.
Captured in her mind at least, while in my head, it was more akin to a rescue.
"Look ahead." She was smashed in the face with the butt of the gun, but her didn’t budge and kept walking. Wondering if the two other friends of her survived. Which they definitely did.

Mohammad Salah was the ambassador from Cynark in the little land of Yethel Republic. A small country that had been an annoyance on the south of their country for ages.
Stopping them from accessing the south of the sea, stopping them from acquiring a fertile rich land good for farming, stopping them from pressuring the Dwarfs into selling their products for cheap, as they don’t share borders.
But this is still nothing to compare to the biggest reason why Cynark hates this country.
"This land once belonged to us."
Cynark Kingdom was a millennium old empire and there had been various changes to its borders throughout the centuries. And a long ti ago, the land of Yethel was right under ownership of Cynark. But due to an accident which weakened Cynark, forcing it to cut its losses and concentrate its power closer to capital. Which resulted in the land that is now called Yethel to be divided by warlords that created the land of Sarvilla.
"Do you still believe those words?" Asked a beautiful woman with a luscious smile. There was curiosity over her eyes, looking at this man who ca from another country to act as mouthpiece for Cynark.
But to her surprise, what he said next surprised her. "I never did believe those words, it’s just an obsession with world borders, which often changed throughout the ti. If one were to look deep enough, many could find similar excuses to take over Cynark’s land."
"A change in tune? Much different than before."
"These are my true thoughts. This is currently speaking to you as Mohammad Salah Amni, these are my true thoughts."
"Or the words of a liar, knowing that his country has abandoned him and there is no way for you to safe yourself."
"I know I am not going to survive this in any way. Either you kill or so assassins from my country kill . I am a dead man no matter what."
"Self aware, are we? But I will entertain your ideas for now." The woman spoke as her hand turned like diamonds through which she shot a single beam of light, which traveled in zig-zag motion around the room, destroying porcelain guns, shooting through paintings and walls and then travelling through the ground to break the greater defense formation that was set up in this house. "Now we can talk in peace."
But that simple action of hers had made Salah to turn silent. "You were aware of the bomb hidden below?"
"Oh, there was ant to be a bomb here? I just made sure that no one else listened in on her."
"..."
Salah understood that it was over from him. Cynark had deed him criminal on corruption charges and collusion with foreign forces. As for what Foreign Forces, even he didn’t know much about it. This is just an excuse for Cynark to cut their tail after he was exposed to be taking part in sothing shady.
Which was odd. Which was very odd considering what he did was mostly a choice he made for his foster son, the son of soone he used to know long ago. He just tried to do a good deed from his perspective.
What that boy did and the ramification of his actions had caught up to Mohammad Salah. It was no wonder Cynark would want to wash their hands off of him, as there was too much proof, and there is no way for Cynark to win the fight of public opinion.
But what he found odd was the reasons they gave.
A simple, "Its actions he partook in on his own, Cynark Kingdom had no way or in form directed him."
Such a simple response was turned to pure hostility, where Salah understood that he was going to die soon.
Which can only know one thing.
’I know sothing which might pose danger.’ Although unsure over what it was, he knew that he was valuable in a way. A value so high that the true Queen of this small country ca to et him herself.
"I never held any animosity towards this land. I lived in this place for the last six years, and you should know that I tried my hardest to negotiate for peace."
"A one sided-threat to us, each ti."
"My words were highly edited, we both know that my people are overbearing and rarely know how to back down." Salah spoke, trying to show his value and what he had done for this country.
Which the woman agreed with, "Then carry on. Tell why you are going to die. Tell the reason why they consider you so valuable."
"To answer your question, Empress. I, too, am unaware, but I am ready to narrate all the important points that might be deed useful to you." He spoke in a tone that the woman liked.
The tone of a subservient dog. Just the kind she loved.
"Then tell , what does a dead man wants in return for this exchange?" It was obvious to see this man wanted sothing. Sothing she understood clearly. "The boy, is it?" She asked before Salah could even speak.
"He is innocent and just driven by loss."
"Releasing that boy so he could grow up and co back stronger to haunt us?"
"That is my condition, Empress. Without it, there is no value in holding his conversation for ."
Salah was going to try his hardest. He can’t survive this and even if he did, he won’t live long in his own country soon after. So, the most he could do in his situation was give Rashid a way out.
Just like he was given in his youth by Rashid’s Father.
The fire of Vybain family can never go out. Rashid has to survive this. He needs to live longer and take revenge if possible.
And considering his talent and background, Cynark would still accept Rashid with open arms, unlike him, who has already been deed a criminal by them.
’It’s probably why they never spoke about Rashid in any of their statent. They still hope to acquire the youngest Adept Knight in history.’
"Giving your life for a boy that is not even your blood? Were you servant of Vybain family in youth? But considering how annoyed, Cynark had been recently. I would comply with your request."
She said with a bright smile. A bright smile followed by the doors opening and soldiers rushing in Salah’s ho.
And by the ti Salah could turn his head, the figure that sat on his sofa had already disappeared.
It almost felt like he was in an illusion. He even wondered if the conversation he had with the empress was real or not.
’No, it should be.’
