In the ruins of the small island.
Chloe stood quietly in place, using [Recovery] to nd the damage to her body.
Charles clicked his tongue in amazent, holding a lump of rotten flesh in his hand, he said:
"How did you kid know there was a third demigod hidden around, and the strongest one at that."
The third demigod was exactly the lump of rotten flesh in Charles’s hand.
To be precise, it was only a piece of rotten flesh left.
Chloe smiled and said:
"I just had a hunch."
In truth, he knew what paths the two demigods of the Flesh and Blood Hermitage were following.
One was the Path of Blood and Flesh, the other was the Path of Death.
Neither of these paths are particularly good at curses.
To silently curse-kill Master Nini, there had to be another demigod involved.
But in the simulation, by the ti he wiped out the Flesh and Blood Hermitage, that demigod was already dead.
He had previously speculated that this demigod, extrely skilled at curses, should also be near the headquarters.
Nini was an exceptionally rare Treasure Elf.
Born with Strong Fortune, it could be said that as long as she wished for it, many things would subtly develop in her desired direction.
In a way, she was like a small wishing machine.
But due to the nature of a Treasure Elf, it’s impossible for her to be exploited by others.
It was this deep-rooted stubbornness in her soul that granted the Treasure Elf their Strong Fortune.
With such luck, even as a Sequence Six, it would be difficult for an ordinary strong being to curse-kill her.
And Nini would never leave the vicinity of the Ethereal Emblem, making it hard even for a demigod to kill her directly.
This was Strong Fortune.
A Sequence Six could force a Sequence Four to have no effective ans against them.
Yet Nini was still killed.
The death of a fortune-blessed elf by curse was absurd to the extre.
So sothing must have penetrated this innate fortune, and there had to be interference from a high-dinsional being.
What high-dinsional being it was didn’t matter.
Whether that guy was a Chosen One, favored by the Deity, or a Divine Descendant, it didn’t matter.
Whether he was dead or not did matter.
That’s why it was necessary to seal the mory of that unknown demigod and keep reiterating to Charles:
"Protect Master Nini."
This was to prevent the deity behind that demigod from discovering soone was plotting against their plan.
Charles, indeed a figure of many battles.
When he heard Chloe had tampered with his own mory and repeatedly stressed not to engage in the battle, he understood that apart from the two demigods on the island, there was sothing else lurking.
"You are truly cautious." Charles looked at Chloe and praised, "Demigods focused on by deities like this, if they reveal murderous intent too early, they could easily escape."
Unfocused killing intent on anyone is too indistinct for even a deity to trace back to its source.
By the ti the plot is revealed, the other party can’t escape anymore.
Charles lit a cigar and said:
"Your current boon is about to burn out, your strength will soon diminish, will you regret it?"
"Not a bit."
Chloe calmly wiped off the bloodstains on his body.
"Mr. Charles, the lingering essence of these demigods should be quite valuable, thank you for stopping that guy for ."
His words implied the extraordinary traits those demigods left behind were an extra token of gratitude for Charles’s assistance.
"I couldn’t possibly take things from the younger generation, haha, these things are only worth that much, keeping them in your hands would indeed be troubleso.
How about this, when I sell these extraordinary traits and miscellaneous items, I’ll convert them into cash for you.
When you want to buy sothing, rember to visit our Mayer Trading Company."
Chloe hesitated for a mont, but ultimately didn’t refuse.
He subconsciously looked at the demigod Charles had directly killed.
Even just from the residual power on his corpse, he could feel that this guy wasn’t in the sa league as Tanzan and the Skeleton.
But while he was treating his own severe injuries, that person didn’t even get blood on his clothes.
The gap was quite obvious.
No wonder Lilith was so astonished when she heard his request at the ti.
Probably thought it was too wasteful?
But it didn’t matter. Nini being safe is what’s most important.
"I’m sorry, I have sothing urgent and must return to the Ethereal Emblem first."
After healing his body, Chloe imdiately bid farewell to Charles.
"Go, go, I’ve already told those old guys from your school, soone asked to pass a ssage."
"Hmm?"
"Ahem~" Charles straightened up, touched his non-existent beard, and said with so mischief, "Kid, it’s great that you can join the Ethereal Emblem."
That gesture, Chloe knew at once was from the old headmaster.
He chuckled silently.
So they had all realized he was fighting for his life here against those demigods?
He definitely had to ask Master Nini to pull out the headmaster’s beard!
But... the accumulated frustration washed away completely after this battle.
Feeling the blessing from the Abyss was coming to an end, he waved his sleeve, transford effortlessly into a crimson teor, and vanished into the sky.
...
Location: Ethereal Emblem · Healing Center
dical staff were walking back and forth.
Suddenly, a young nurse let out a surprised noise, holding down her clothes lifted by a gust of wind.
Almost revealing a vacuum secret!
She was a bit puzzled.
The healing center was ventilated, but by design, there shouldn’t be strong winds in the corridor.
She shivered.
Could it be haunted here?
At this mont, inside the hibernation pod of the healing center, Chloe’s gaze fell on the girl’s deeply sleeping face.
Aisha seed a bit tired, quietly leaning against her brother’s hibernation pod.
Chloe hesitated for a mont, took a cloak out of the space backpack, and covered her with it.
He walked up to Oben ndeleev, opened the hibernation pod, and placed his hand on his forehead.
