"Heh. The stinky commoner joined the slave princess and her army of beasts. It’s very fitting, if I say so myself."

The general commander of the crusaders is walking slowly towards Ingela. The insignias on her uniform shine, reflecting the moonlight, shifting with her elegant movents.

She holds her drawn sword downwards, but her gait belies her battle readiness.

Ingela is wearing a uniform that looks plain in comparison with the pomp of the one donning Urraca, but she is by no ans less battle-ready.

"URRACAAAA!!!!"

Instead of directly answering her enemy’s provocations, she lets out a roar that expresses all the rage inside her.

Years of bullying and derogatory comnts shaped the relationship between those two and the mutual hate they feel for each other.

"I expected that those cowardly beasts would use the cover of the attack on the priests to co sabotage our siege engines, but I didn’t expect to find you, of all people, here."

Ingela quickly created a spatial isolation barrier around Urraca and unleashed a maelstrom of fire inside it.

An upwards curve was already showing up on the corner of her lips when she saw sothing sticking out of her barrier. The tip of a sword.

The mont it managed to break through the spaceless barrier, it was easy to cut the rest of it.

How...? I’ve never seen soone break it before...

Ingela developed so different kinds of barriers over ti, and her favorite is the looping barrier that sends whatever enters it back to the beginning of the enclosed space.

The loophole of this kind of barrier is that it always has a threshold of speed that an attack needs to be able to reach the end of it before the loops bring it back. And Urraca’s attack broke that threshold.

The Urraca who ca out of the enclosed space was not as haughty as the one she was before. She managed to use cooled air to block so of the fire damage, but her uniform was scorched and her hair disheveled.

"That was a nasty trap... again, very fitting. You beasts and plebeians are filthy. It’s reasonable that your tactics would be as well."

Urraca straightens her sword and runs toward Ingela, striking with all her might... only to find herself hitting the air so ters away.

Ingela is always processing the spatial environnt she’s in, finding useful connections at all tis. So, when Urraca charged, Ingela sent her so distance away.

This isn’t good... my goal here is to destroy the siege engines, and she is stalling too much.

She used the ti Urraca took to resituate herself to make hellish fire descend onto yet another trebuchet that was nearby.

"You are such a coward! Why don’t you fight with honor? Co at ! Hit with all you’ve got! Filthy scum!!!"

"You already used ’filthy’ today. Are you running out of insults as well?"

As Ingela counter-taunts Urraca, her eyes are already scanning the landscape for any useful connection for her to open a portal.

She hears the aria Urraca is chanting, so she knows exactly what is coming her way and has enough ti to prepare. She opens a portal the exact mont a huge icicle flies towards her.

The portal catches the icicle just in ti, teleporting it towards a siege tower, which doesn’t survive the massive attack.

The next trebuchet is almost a hundred ters further away, so Ingela opens her storage and retrieves the crossbow and the special bolt and starts reloading.

"Tsk. I should’ve done it before coming..."

"Hey, commoner! Are you going to ignore ?"

Ingela stops her reloading and looks toward her enemy.

"Yeah. To be honest, I want from the bottom of my heart to kill you right now. But I have more important things to do."

The directness and dismissiveness of Ingela’s answer is enough to make Urraca lose any remainder of coolness she had in herself.

"YOU LITTLE SHIT!!!"

Urraca starts chanting again, an aria Ingela has never heard before.

Those words... oh, it’s an area of effect spell to circumvent my barrier. This one has quick thinking, but it seems to be a long aria.

As she processes the aning of the incantation, Ingela works even faster on the reloading of the crossbow.

She starts feeling the chill forming around her body, slowing her movents and making her joints ache as she hurries even more.

"Done!"

Ingela raises the crossbow and fires it at the exact sa mont as Urraca finishes her aria.

The moisture around Ingela’s body condensed and is starting to freeze, creating a layer of ice around her.

Just a little more...

Ingela goes through the aria for opening the portal in her head and uses all her might to jump.

The jump doesn’t go very high, but it’s just enough for the portal to be conjured below her, over the ground.

As she falls down, she enters the portal, going down through it on the other side and splattering on the floor beside the trebuchet, startling the guards.

Without the power of the magic field, the thin layer of ice shatters as she hits the ground, releasing her.

She quickly ends the portal spell, closing it, and engulfs her surroundings with fire. The guards were too slow to react and were roasted before they could even make a movent to strike her.

"It’s been so ti since the last ti I did this... I’m sorry, Yaci, but I’ll have to do it to fulfill my mission."

She increases the heat of the flas around her and starts running at high speed, burning everything in her wake.

The soldiers around her could only see a naked body engulfed in a pillar of smoldering ruin as she dismantled every engine that could be used in the assault on the walls.

Every projectile and magic thrown at her got deflected by her barriers, and she was too fast and erratic to get caught in another area of effect spell.

"Now you stop, heretic!"

A resounding voice, like thunder, made her stop in her tracks. In front of her was one of the three angels, who had left the barrier work to stop this walking calamity.

"Nope. I’m good. See ya."

I’m running out of mana already. This spell is too costly to sustain. So I can’t afford a new battle.

Ingela quickly creates a portal back to the wall and jumps in while dropping the fire spell.

The mont she reaches the other side, she closes the portal and falls down, unconscious.

A beautiful naked maiden in the middle of the soldiers in battle, atop a castle wall, under the moonlight.
