Pretending not to be in a coma was literally the tast request Xu Feng could have possibly co up with for Xu Zeng. He mused, with a wry smile tugging at his lips.

Indeed, the past few weeks had been nothing short of eventful, with Xu Feng slipping into a coma more tis than he’d care to admit. Each ti, it had sent waves of panic throughout the Nanshan estate, especially when he’d swallowed too much...

Oral in a carriage was not a good idea, even if it was the BMW or rced*s B*nz of the ancient world...

He couldn’t help but think that perhaps with the additional security asures, the new additions to the Xu family—the new Xu siblings, Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe—might be less alard when such incidents occurred (him always being comatose).

Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, on the other hand, were likely to remain continually concerned, their protectiveness firm. They were both over protective, just in different ways—one was very obvious about it, while the young master was particularly snakey about everything!

As he turned his attention to the recently cleaned up greenhouse, Xu Feng couldn’t help but marvel at the transformation. The walls of the greenhouse were still marred by dirt and neglect, but the overgrown and lifeless plants had been diligently uprooted, and the planters now sat ready to be seeded with new life.

Only a small corner, lovingly nurtured by Xu Zeng, stood as evidence to the younger brother’s efforts.

A sense of pride welled up within Xu Feng as he gazed at his handiwork, the colorful imagery of the greenhouse reflecting his renewed spirit. In this world, where beauty coexisted with the horrors of the apocalyptic landscape, life continued to assert its vitality, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.

With a bright smile, Xu Feng allowed himself a mont of contentnt.

The world was beautiful—ignore the ugly and creeping zombies—Life was amazing—ignore that he was in a different plane of existence from all his loved ones—and family was a treasure—ignore that he and his "younger" brother had switched bodies and said brother was in the body with his husbands while he was in an apocalyptic world...

But as quickly as his smile had appeared, it faltered. His mind couldn’t escape the ever present reminder of their predicant. Swapping bodies with his "younger" brother, Xu Zeng residing in the body with his husbands while he was thrust into an apocalyptic world—it was like a cliche story that no one could have predicted.

Xu Feng’s mouth twitched with a mix of amusent and exasperation. He couldn’t deny that he felt a genuine sense of happiness and fulfillnt despite the absurdity of their situation.

He rolled his eyes playfully, a glimr of mischief in his gaze.

Amnesia or not (well, not really amnesia, but close enough), he was determined to embrace each mont with enthusiasm, even if life had thrown them a plot twist straight out of a novel.

Yes, life had certainly taken an unexpected turn for Xu Feng.

Yes, he and Xu Zeng—who wasn’t dead (yay!)—were these amazing silver foxes, and his husbands were also cultivators with strong potential. They were all given blessings by the transmigration and cultivation gods, but he...

Transmigration had been his first encounter with the unusual, followed by the mysterious truck-kun, and now, amnesia...

It was like he was living out a bizarre novel filled with plot twists, and he couldn’t quite decide if he was an interesting side character or an unlucky main character in the drama that was his life.

He crouched down in the greenhouse, taking a mont to catch his breath. His luck was undeniably strange, yet strangely fortunate. Despite all the cliches that seed to be following him, Xu Feng found himself content as he glanced over the empty and waiting soil.

The greenhouse was a symbol of his efforts, proof of his determination to create sothing beautiful in this chaotic world.

If only he had more manpower, ti, and resources, he thought. He still hadn’t figured out the source of Xu Zeng’s water supply, and he dread of washing the dirt off the greenhouse’s walls or even lining them with privacy paper. However, the dirt served a purpose, concealing the contents of this massive structure from prying eyes outside.

Xu Feng remained crouched, relishing the brief respite after a morning of strenuous physical labor—a stark contrast to the less wholeso "labor" he typically engaged in at Nanshan, which often left him breathless.

His thoughts drifted back to his conversation with Xu Zeng the previous day, before it had been abruptly interrupted. Other than discussing immortal plants and potential energy sources, they had mostly focused on Xu Zeng’s plan to return to Dongzhou.

That plan was the key to their journey, and Xu Feng couldn’t help but wonder how it would all unfold in this unconventional story of theirs, but he needed to take responsibility there.

As Xu Feng thought about his new little brother, he couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, he was grateful that Xu Zeng had taken the initiative to co up with a plan to bring his body back to Dongzhou.

After all, it was Xu Feng who was technically stranded in this modern world overrun by zombies, contaminated water, and unknown dangers.

However, a sense of frustration gnawed at him. He felt that he was leaving a critical task, a task that could determine their reunion and safety, in the hands of his younger brother. It was a near impossible feat to traverse between different planes of existence without the appropriate transportation talismans.

Even finding one capable of traveling between two low leveled worlds posed a significant challenge for him and Xu Zeng. Maybe it wouldn’t be a challenge in a higher level world, but that wasn’t their reality.

He glanced down at his finger, the very finger where his ring should have been, and a sense of relief washed over him as the ring materialized itself slowly.

Gently, it ward his finger as if in greeting. The connection he had with this ring was a source of comfort and reassurance.
