In that mont, Xu Feng felt a twinge of frustration swirling within him. The silence around him, accentuated by the dance of flas in the open air, only fueled his contemplation. The scent of the cooked animal lingered in the pavilion, an earthy aroma that added to the solemn atmosphere.

Xu Feng ant the words that ca out of his mouth.

He mulled over his situation, feeling confined within the boundaries of his own thoughts. Bai Mo’s openness differed greatly with the lack of helpful information from his lovers.

Bai Mo, despite not being among the "chosen," was willing to share what little he knew about those of immortal bloodlines and this mystical world even before he "activated" his own bloodline.

Bai Mo would even be taking the risk to co out in front of the main Bai family in a few days.

Yet, his connection to Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang seed like an impenetrable wall when it ca to sharing critical details.

Xu Feng had to acknowledge the complexity of his emotions for Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang. In this contractual relationship, feelings brewed beyond the set terms. However, it felt like their unspoken rule to keep important information concealed from him.

He rolled his eyes, not in frustration at them, but at the frustration he felt toward himself. His thoughts swirled like the flickering flas, trapped within his own problem.

He knew the animal was cooked and temporarily stowed away in the pavilion, its lingering aroma a barely passable distraction from the brewing conflict within him.

The night held onto its festive air, the pavilion aglow with vibrant decorations, the paper lanterns casting a soft, colorful hue against the chilly evening sky. It was a scene of enchantnt, an elegant play of light and shadow that enhanced the celebratory ambiance.

But, within this picturesque setting, a subtle tension lingered. Xu Feng’s determination grew more intense with each passing mont. If his partners wouldn’t accompany him up the mountain, he was determined to go on the journey alone. Xu Feng WOULD go by himself.

He wasn’t a stranger to the outdoors, even in this new mystical world; caution would be his friend. Erlang, the bulky boy who was still growing like a weed, would be by his side.

As Xu Feng stood, his expression transford from the lively expression of monts ago to a more indifferent look. The joy had faded, replaced by an air of seriousness and impassivity.

Regret began to seep in. Maybe this topic was too fragile for the evening’s celebrations. He felt a pang of disappointnt, questioning his dependence on either man for anything beyond a good romp in bed and the occasional cuddle.

Fatigue settled in, the weight of the day adding to his unrest. Tonight, probably wasn’t the night to bring this up, but was there ever a good ti to start a fight?

Xu Feng ran his fingers through his hair, a movent overloaded with the day’s stress, each movent reflecting the burden he carried.

In an effort to mask his exhaustion, he adopted his go to facade—an appearance of the composed "young mistress." He scolded himself for letting his guard down, for showing any signs of weakness.

He couldn’t afford to appear vulnerable, especially before a confrontation. This situation-ship was becoming too comfortable, blurring the lines between truth and the role he was supposed to play.

As Xu Feng gazed back at the two n, a chill settled into his eyes, a counterpoint to their unified position. He made a conscious decision to deflect his gaze.

Acknowledging his vulnerability wasn’t sothing he enjoyed. Admitting Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian were closer to each other than to him hurt, but it was a truth.

The pain in his heart was a sharp, biting sensation, an ache that threatened to consu him, yet he refused to admit it, such admission would wound his pride deeply.

Xu Feng wasn’t one to yield to his pain, preferring to let it consu him rather than allowing anyone else to see him waver, to let anyone else win. His pride was both his shield and his weakness.

Retiring from the pavilion with resolute steps, Xu Feng’s gaze fixed on his distant ho, his sanctuary. The walk ahead would be long, and the evening chill of the spring air swirled around him. With each step, he felt the breeze, a reminder of the changing season and the lack of an overcoat or cloak.

He found an odd gratitude in the coldness, it shook him from the illusion, yet he wished for the winter to linger. In the winter, their charade could continue, but with the arrival of spring, the smokescreen would dissipate, revealing the fragility of their relationship.

His glass house of love would shatter.

As he readied to leave the pavilion, a surge of warmth enveloped him, a big gap from the onslaught of the chilly air. It threatened to bring tears to his eyes, a sensation he stubbornly resisted. He couldn’t afford to show weakness now.

Pushing forward, Xu Feng kept moving, or at least he tried. He felt the strain of the situation. The disproportion in strength between n and gers of immortal bloodlines lingered in his mind, an unwelco reminder of the vast divide in their world, dictated by bloodline purity.

Xuan Jian, who was hiding his bloodline purity from the Xuan family, and Xuan Yang, the darling of the Xuan clan for this generation, were both obviously overpowered.

While Xu Feng was also overpowered among the current generation, he didn’t seem particularly gifted in the physical departnt. All his luck was spent on his wood ability.

He was only as strong as a normal man in Donghua. Maybe a bit more, but to the two Xuan prodigies, he was a delicate ger.

The tossing was intense on Xu Feng’s part, he didn’t want to be held. He felt disgusted, like he was only a toy for pleasure...that’s what he wanted, wasn’t it?
