Chapter 147: Almost Kicked Out

Translator: Vesper

Editor: Kuro

Ning ng Yao looked at Yang Cui with a smile: “You’re really so stupid. So what if I did it on purpose?” She wasn’t even the least bit worried about Yang Cui because no one would believe what she said. No matter how much she said, there would be no use.

Yang Cui glared at Ning ng Yao: “I’ll let everyone know about your sham and make them kick you out from this village.”

Ning ng Yao shrugged, then she faintly said: “Let’s see if people would believe you or .”

Not long after, Aunty Li returned with Yang Zhu and so other villagers, including Mada Chen.

On the way back Aunty Li had already told everyone about the incident. They couldn’t believe that Yang Cui actually tried to harm soone with the scissors.

But when they arrived, they saw Ning ng Yao’s pale face and the scissors on the floor, and they imdiately understood.

Yang Cui was looking for trouble.

“Ning ng Yao, you’re trying to fra my daughter again! I won’t let you succeed!” Mada Chen yelled before other people even had a chance to open their mouths.

Ning ng Yao bit her lip and looked at Mada Chen. After a while, she laughed with a bit of ridicule: “Aunty, I really don’t know when I have offended your family. You co to trouble just after announcing my engagent and even when I’m just sewing clothes at ho now, your daughter wants to harm and tried to ruin my face using my own scissors. How seriously have I offended your family?”

The villagers around them also thought that Mada Chen was too rude. Ning ng Yao had brought so much benefit to their village. The villagers didn’t even envy her now. What’s more even relatives from other villages were asking if they could co and work here.

It was just that the two workshops weren’t very big so they didn’t need so much manpower. Those people could only admire them, and envy them at the sa ti while thinking why didn’t such a good thing happen in their village instead.

Now, there was soone trying to impede this business? Ning ng Yao rarely went to the village. She basically just stayed at ho, especially now after the engagent. Since Qiao Tian Chang wasn’t around, she had been doing needlework at ho, making clothes and visiting the workshops. She didn’t bother anyone else at all so how could this incident have happened to her?

Ning ng Yao also didn’t offend either Mada Chen or her husband’s ancestors so why were they always troubling her?

Mada Chen’s expression changed. She didn’t expect Ning ng Yao’s to be such an eloquent actress: “Ning ng Yao, don’t you dare to pull out an act. Cut your attempt to tarnish my daughter’s na.”

“Ning ng Yao, don’t you feel any guilt at ruining my reputation?” Yang Cui looked at her with teary eyes, as if she was the victim instead of her.

So people were getting confused. But Aunty Li suddenly scread out in anger: “You mother and daughter alike are really shaless. How could the both of you bully an orphan girl? Yang Cui, how can you try to accuse ng Yao like this? Aren’t you afraid of being struck by lightning? You and your malicious acts would only give you a hard ti when looking for a husband. It’s no wonder that Tian Chang doesn’t want you. It would be more strange if soone would actually fall for you.”

Aunty Li’s words were a little impolite. However, seeing that Mada Chen wanted to talk back, she continued: “Did ng Yao making clothes at ho offend you in any way, Yang Cui? Did you have to co here and make a scene? You ca here to look for trouble, and yet now you’re trying to bla ng Yao. Your family really has so serious issues.”

Everyone present agreed with Aunty Li’s words.

Seeing the dissatisfaction in Mada Chen and Yang Cui’s eyes, everyone shared the sa thought: ng Yao didn’t even bother them, so what actually provoked them and led them to trouble her in such a way instead?

Yang Zhu looked at Yang Cui’s pale face. He walked over to her and sighed heavily: “Yang Cui, I really don’t want to say this but if you’re going to behave like this, then you should leave White Mountain Village. We don’t need a girl like you here.”

“What do you an by this, Village Head!?” Mada Chen asked out loud.

Yang Zhu turned towards Mada Chen and coldly said: “What do I an? Mada Chen, you’re being the irresponsible one here. If you’re unable to take care of your daughter properly, then I suggest that your family move out of the village. And don’t even try saying that I’m being cruel, as you should already know earlier about your daughter’s behaviour.”

“You...”
