Chapter 322: Chapter 321 Siberian Husky

In the afternoon, Jiang Feng and Jiang Zaidi left Benevolent Doctor at the sa ti.

The results from Jiang Zaidi’s cardiac echocardiogram and brain CT had co out and there were no issues. His fainting episode was simply due to staying up late and a mild case of low blood sugar.

Just now at noon, Jiang Zaidi’s boss had called him, telling him to take a good rest, and if he wanted to take a few days off, he could, even two weeks if necessary. His boss also ntioned on the phone that the client was very satisfied with the design drawings that he had rushed to finish these past few days, and there was no need for further revisions. The client for the project he was currently handling was not in a hurry either, so it could be put on hold for the mont, and if necessary, soone else could take over his work.

Jiang Zaidi planned to rest well for a few days and stay with his parents during this ti, eating well.

The two parted ways at the subway station; Jiang Zaidi needed to stop by his office to grab so things, as his USB drive, notebook, and so important items were still left at his desk.

“By the way, De, I’m planning to cook hot pot at ho tomorrow night. Given your current situation, can you eat hot pot?” Jiang Feng asked.

“Of course! Why not? I’m in good health, aren’t I? A re hot pot is no problem—just make sure to buy lots of beef tripe and yellow throat!” Jiang Zaidi almost wished he could lift weights on the spot to demonstrate his robust health.

Jiang Feng nodded, indicating he’d rember, and parted ways with Jiang Zaidi at the subway station.

By the ti Jiang Feng got back to Taifeng Building, the evening business hadn’t started yet, but it was approaching. Both elderly gentlen had already arrived, and the seafood supplier for Taifeng Building was there as well, chatting with them.

Jiang Junqing and Jiang Junlian, the two sisters, had gone to their grandmother’s house a few days ago. With school starting early for military training in a few days, Jiang Feng figured he wouldn’t see the sisters until before the national holiday.

In the absence of the two sisters these past days, Da Hua’s als were taken care of by Chen Suhua and Mrs. Jiang. Jiang Feng had been so engrossed in preparing Yun Chicken that he hadn’t had ti to make breakfast and dinner for Da Hua every day and had entrusted Da Hua’s als completely to Chen Suhua and Mrs. Jiang.

Mrs. Jiang was infamously inept at raising pigs, mainly because there were too many girls in her family and she was put at the end of the line for such advanced tasks. She usually just took care of feeding chickens and ducks and had no experience in pig-rearing.

Chen Suhua was different; she was the eldest daughter, tall and strong, and had always been the main worker at ho. Before moving to the city with Professor Li, Chen Suhua had been the village’s expert in pig farming.

Having not raised pigs for many years and now being older and retired, Chen Suhua found it very pleasant to raise pigs in the courtyard of her ho.

She even thought one pig was not enough for her to raise and wanted to buy two more piglets to put in the pen to accompany Da Hua.

Chen Suhua approached pig farming as a career.

The conversation between the two elderly gentlen and the supplier seed to be wrapping up. Jiang Weiming caught sight of Jiang Feng motioning to him, “What are you holding in your hand?”

“Salted duck eggs given by Dr. Sun, his family is from Gaoyou. These salted duck eggs were sent especially by his mother from Gaoyou,” Jiang Feng said.

The two elder statesn couldn’t help but give a few more glances at the salted duck eggs in the plastic bag Jiang Feng was holding.

“Salted duck eggs from Gaoyou are a fine delicacy; it’s difficult to get good ones these days,” the supplier said with a smile, getting up to leave, “This quantity is settled for now, but feel free to call anyti if you need more.”

Jiang Weiguo nodded, standing up, “I’ll see you out.”

“Granduncle Weiming, what were you discussing?” Jiang Feng asked casually.

“We’ve adjusted the amount of the seafood supply. Sun Jikai has already returned to Jubao Building, and many seafood dishes have been taken off the nu, so there’s no need to stock up anymore,” said Jiang Weiming, “Feng, would you like to learn how to make sea cucumber dishes?”

“I would,” responded Jiang Feng.

“Starting tomorrow, Grandfather and I will teach you how to prepare sea cucumber dishes,” Jiang Weiming said with a beaming smile, “People outside say our Taifeng Building doesn’t have show-worthy sea cucumber dishes; you must learn well to regain our reputation.”

“Don’t worry, Granduncle Weiming, I will,” Jiang Feng promised readily.

Fang Zhuoyue’s university operated on a trister system and had started in early August. While most college students across the country were still enjoying a lazy, indulgent sumr break, Fang Zhuoyue had already been attending classes for a week.

Fang Zhuoyue had just finished his third class of the day, packing up slowly, dawdling as he pondered whether or not he should visit Taifeng Building tonight.

It’s not that he was a conspiracy theorist, but just a few days ago, so idiot at the neighboring school got scamd out of 8,000 yuan. Another fool got tricked into becoming a legal representative. The instructors were spamming the WeChat group and class group with related ssages every day, brainwashing everyone with constant alerts.

In this kind of environnt, he always felt that Jiang Feng’s sudden invitation to dinner had so ulterior motive.

“San, hurry up, I’ve been hungry since the first class. You can just throw those two books into your bag and go. Co on, let’s go to the cafeteria, I’m starving!” His roommate urged him.

“I have dinner plans with soone tonight. If you’re hungry, go ahead and eat without .” Fang Zhuoyue thought for a mont, then decided to honor the appointnt.

After all, he had promised Jiang Feng at noon, and besides, Jiang Feng looked honest and straightforward, and he even had a girlfriend. He probably wasn’t a bad guy.

“A dinner date on a Friday, San? Sounds like you’ve got sothing going on,” his roommate said with a lecherous grin.

Fang Zhuoyue, preoccupied with his own thoughts, had no interest in playing along with his roommate’s joke and explained, “It’s a guy, a friend I t recently.”

Seeing that Fang Zhuoyue was not in the mood for jokes, his roommate dropped the teasing grin and asked, “Where are you guys eating?”

“Taifeng Building.”

“Taifeng Building? Isn’t that the new place that opened last month? I’ve heard their prices are quite steep, but the flavor should be good too. Get back early, we have that killer class tomorrow morning.” After saying this, his roommate grabbed his bag and left.

Fang Zhuoyue put his books back in the dorm and saw that it was already five o’clock. He sent a WeChat ssage to Jiang Feng telling him he was about to leave.

Jiang Feng usually didn’t carry his phone with him in the kitchen, so he never saw the WeChat ssage from Fang Zhuoyue. The fish head with chopped chili was already in the pot, just sprinkled with the spicy topping, looking bright red and very attractive.

“Didn’t you say you were going to the Benevolent Doctor to clear your mind today? How co you’re back this afternoon?” Wu Minqi asked.

“I have important things to do tonight; I had to co back,” Jiang Feng said with a smile.

“Important things?”

“Right, tonight I’m acting as a matchmaker for a friend,” Jiang Feng said, his smile growing more presumptuous.

“Playing matchmaker? For whom?” Wu Minqi asked.

“A friend I t at the Benevolent Doctor. Whether he gets lucky tonight depends on the dish in this pot,” Jiang Feng replied.

Wu Minqi looked at the fish head with chopped chili in Jiang Feng’s pot.

A match made by the taste of chopped chili fish head?

Unable to understand Jiang Feng’s train of thought, Wu Minqi shook her head and prepared to start cooking another dish.

Once Jiang Feng poured the hot oil over it, the fish head with chopped chili was ready to be served.

Jiang Feng handed the finished dish to Sang Ming for plating, and then he quietly asked, “Sang Ming, do I still look… you know?”

“You don’t look ‘you know’ anymore,” Sang Ming honestly replied.

“How’s my smile now? Normal?” Jiang Feng flashed a smile.

“Feng, do you want the truth?”

“Tell .”

“Right now, you’re smiling like a Husky.”
