Li Shen flew to a specific Core Formation Realm-level city.
He breached its surrounding walls undetected, and entered an abandoned house on the outskirts of the city through a broken window on its second floor.
With a loud thud, he fell to the wooden floor. In the dark room, Li Shen lay on his back eyes closed as he examined his body.
The poison was the color purple and he watched as it moved through his bloodstream via his veins to his internal organs. Even his ridians weren't an exception, it was using these channels to spread throughout his entire body.
If this continued, even though he won’t die, his health would deteriorate to resemble soone in old age. As for his cultivation, it would co to a grinding halt as his ridian would beco disfigured, making him unable to cultivate properly.
This was a sinister poison that aid to cripple soone.
“Haha…”
Despite the results if left untreated, Li Shen couldn’t help but let out a self-deprecating chuckle.
“...Hypocrite.”
After a period of silence, his voice in this dark room mumbled that lonely word.
Within Li Shen’s body, the poison moved everywhere with impunity. His blood cells, which had a black luster around them, were slowly being corrupted. But suddenly, the poison ca to a grinding halt when it ca face to face with his two Physiques.
As if they had been poked by a needle, they sprang to life to find the source.
Li Shen’s Heavenly Physique which was gold in color was the personification of pure, holy, and untainted. His Spiritual Physique was black but it had specks of glistening light within it, which made it resemble outer space. Like it had its own universe inside of it that was boundless.
Poison was the least of Li Shen’s problems and he didn’t even have to use his Heavenly Comprehension or waste his Ti Qi to drive out the poison. Just his two Physiques would prevent any foreign energies from invading his body.
A golden and starry-black glow shin throughout his body. Those two lights beca visible in the outside world as they surround his figure, lighting up the dark room he was in.
Everywhere these two glows went they cleansed his body from the poison. Purple ooze could be seen seeping from pores, and behind his mask, it ca out of his facial orifices.
Li Shen reached up and took his mask off. At the sa ti, he coughed out a mouth full of blood to the side. Its color was purple and as it landed on the floor of the room, sizzling noises sounded out as it lted the wood.
Despite the poison leaving his body, the initial damage it caused to his organs upon entering was still there, not to ntion his shattered sternum and ribcages as well.
Li Shen was still feeling horrible but he forced himself into a sitting position to focus on healing his injuries.
How glad he was for his two physiques. In the future, they would beco a key factor in his developing strength.
His broken sternum was already showing signs of healing as well as his internal organs.
Li Shen opened his eyes and thought about using so dicinal pills, but he soon discarded the idea.
When he was trapped inside the Elder’s training grounds and went through his Physique Tribulation, he discovered that his body had beco resistant to dicinal pills’ effects afterward.
His two physiques were so powerful that they prevent the most deadly of poisons from affecting him, but also stop any dicinal pills from healing him as well.
They block out any and all foreign substances.
Because of this, healing for Li Shen had beco a nuisance, and using his precious Ti Qi to reverse injuries that weren’t life-threatening was not ideal.
So he went about doing everything he could to avoid it as much as possible. He knew such a ntality during a fight was stupid to have, but he was confident he could pull it off with his current strength.
Well, facing a Nascent Realm cultivator he would be a fool to have such thoughts. He ended up getting injured worst than he ever had before.
If it wasn’t for that Ti Seed he would have been forced to use one of the last resorts he had his father give him.
He was unwilling to use one of his trump cards so early on after he had just painted a target on his back by revealing his Divine Soul.
Thinking about the Ti Seed, Li Shen sent his perception inside his dantian.
Its expansive void appeared before him, with his Qi Sea and Plum blossom inside. The Ti Seed was floating above them both, back to its unresponsive state, albeit with a much more dim white glow.
If Li Shen hadn’t witnessed it first hand he would have never thought this little thing was capable of one-shotting an early Nascent Soul cultivator.
‘I an, I know it was accumulating a lot of my Ti Qi, but seeing it in action I can’t help but be amazed. Sothing like Ti is simply terrifying, there was never a God in my past life as Avarice that had co close to comprehending it.’
Thinking up to here, Li Shen felt anticipation blossoming in his heart. He was more confident now this thing was his ticket to comprehending Ti.
But only he knew how to use it.
It just reacted on its own, seeming to have to spit out most of the energy it adsorbed in that burst of white light.
Li Shen wonder what prompted it to take action, and he ca up with two theories. One, it was because he was in danger, and two, it was because of that inexplicable power inside of that man it absorbed along with the Dragon Qi.
That power wasn’t from the man himself but was from sothing similar to the jade slip his father had given to him.
Li Shen opened his eyes.
"Seems like my speculation of him being from a powerful clan was correct. He had also ntioned sothing about a Dragon Clan I never heard of before. And having soone leave a Divine Imprint like that to him must an he has a very important status.”
That power was different than what he had in the jade slip. Li Shen could only release it but that person could use it freely. That required more cultivation on the giver’s part, else his father might have done the sa.
“No worries, my face was hidden so he doesn’t know I’m Li Shen the Second Prince. And if he ever cos looking for trouble with the Faceless Hero, I might be cautious of his mysterious identity but I’m not afraid of him.”
As Li Shen said that he sunk into his thoughts, but suddenly heard a voice that jolted him out.
“Young Master.”
Li Shen’s head shot up towards the window and he saw Li Wen entering.
He opened his mouth to say sothing but stopped and turned to Lihua who was entering behind him.
“What are you doing here? I said to remain in the Academy.”
Li Shen frowned at Lihua for disobeying his words.
Li Wen flicked his sleeve and nurous runes appeared around them lighting up the room.
Lihua hearing Li Shen looked at him square in the eyes and said.
“You’re forgetting I’m a part of the Zhi Clan, and our duty is to protect the Imperial Family. I would be abandoning my duty if I were to leave your side.”
Li Shen looked back at Lihua and seeing the determined look in her eyes, looked away and let out a sigh.
“Fine, I'll acknowledge your duty as a Zhi Clan mber before I do as a Vice-Leader of my Faction.”
After saying that, Li Shen paused for a mont before asking.
“How’s Jun?”
“His condition has stabilized but he hasn’t woken up yet.”
Hearing that Jun was still unconscious, Li Shen was starting to get worried.
“If you’re worried, why not returned to the Academy?”
With furrowed brows, Li Shen looked at Lihua and then at Li Wen to see him standing off to the side.
It was then he realized that he was blocking the exit with his body.
“Did you two co here to convince to go back, or force to?”
Li Shen looked between the both of them as he coldly asked.
