Within a small window fra, the old man had made the decision that he would kill Li Shen. The fact that he could cultivate was riddled with consequences Powers like the Demonic Cult couldn’t fathom.
Who was Li Shen?
He was the Second Prince of the Maple Continent, who had caused chaos in the ranks of every Power on the Continent when it was found that he had two Supre Grade attributes.
In truth, everyone might have forgotten about Li Shen and written him off as a threat, but the Demonic Cult had never done such a thing.
Their years of living in the shadows had created their cautious nature. Anything that so much as showed an ounce of threat to them would gain their full attention.
They might not have been watching him like other geniuses, but they hadn’t taken their eyes off of him simply because he couldn’t cultivate.
The old man, after finding out he actually could, was willing to sacrifice himself to kill Li Shen. He didn’t care who his father was or the repercussions that would co from his death.
How can that be worst than letting such a monster mature?
However, before the old man could deal the killing blow, all of his hair stand on end.
From Li Shen’s forehead, a white speck suddenly floated out.
The old man felt a terrifying power radiating from it.
“Wh-What is that?”
The old man felt like he couldn’t fight back against such power, and his desire to kill Li Shen faded to be replaced with dread. His instincts were screaming at him to escape at this very mont, to run as far away as he could.
The space around him warp as he teleported away.
And he did exactly that.
Over a kiloter away, his figure appeared but he suddenly coughed up blood.
His eyes were filled with shock. Just being exposed to that power for a brief mont had injured him, an early-stage Nascent Realm cultivator.
His heart shook, and he wasted no ti teleporting once again.
He did this nurous tis until the continuous teleportation took a toll on his body, injuring him even further.
After dozens of teleportations, he paused, coughing up a mouthful of blood once again. He then looked behind him, and even though he was thousands of miles away the fear never left his heart.
“Just what was that? Is it so kind of Life Protection treasure the Emperor gave him? Dammit!!”
The old man spat out.
“I should have moved quicker, I was willing to sacrifice my life if that ant he was killed. His threat to our Demonic Cult is just too much. I can hardly fathom how powerful soone with two Supre grade attributes can beco.”
The old man's eyes turned dark.
“Hopefully we won’t have to see that day co.”
Turning back around, he flew as fast as he could. He was going to report this to the Demonic Council of Elders and have the Dark Moon Assassination act imdiately.
But as he was flying sothing strange happened. His vision started to get blurry.
“Hm?”
The old man was confused, but he attributed it to his injuries and tried to work through it. However, it only got worst by the second.
“What’s going on?”
The old man had to pause because his vision was so blurry he couldn’t see clearly.
Then, the old man felt an experience that first confused him but then caused his skull to go numb.
His body stopped listening to him and weirdly started to reverse. Unable to move or speak he watch in confusion and horror as the blurry world changed rapidly.
This happened for ten seconds before everything returned to normal.
However, the old man was even more horrified.
What was in front of him after everything clam down, was Li Shen and the white speck appearing out of his forehead.
Being in this situation again after having escaped cause him to have a ntal breakdown.
The power washed over him and death gripped his throat.
“No...NO!!”
The old man couldn’t understand why he was here after escaping, and in a panic, he turned around to teleport away. However, his figure froze before suddenly producing white light. Translucent images appeared around him as well.
These translucent images were of the old man, showing various iterations of his past, present, and future.
That future showed one of his iterations being engulfed by a white light that blasted from the white speck.
The old man could only watch as that future co to pass. The Ti Seed produced a white light that was filled with Ti Laws and it engulfed the old man.
His figure slowly vanished into specks of white light. This wasn’t just death, this was being erased from existence, from the river of ti itself.
After the white light faded away the Ti Seed gained a dull luster before it entered back into Li Shen’s forehead.
Li Shen watched all of his happened with wide eyes.
Blinking, he closed his eyes and sent his perception into his dantian to observe the Ti Seed.
“Just what the hell are you?”
After a while, Li Shen mumbled as he reopened his eyes.
“Ugh.”
But he soon groaned and the pain from his injuries reminded him how ssed up his body was.
Looking at the jade slip in his hand, Li Shen placed it back into his storage ring. It was good he didn’t have to use it.
While holding his chest, he place his mask back onto his face before his body beca light and floated into the air.
He had to leave this place and find sowhere he could recuperate.
The poison was still in his body and he had to deal with it imdiately.
He sent out his Divine Will to help him fly faster. Though he still struggled to move through the air, .
“I shouldn’t be any more stubborn than this.”
After saying that, he took out a jade slip and sent a ssage.
Soti later, the void above the mountain shattered before the man stepped out carrying the young boy.
The boy looked around at where they were and asked confused.
“Why are we here again? I thought you killed those anies for trying to kidnap ?”
The young man didn’t answer the boy and instead examined the area, even sending out his strangely large Soul Sense to encapsulate the entire mountain and further.
Soon, his gaze turn in a certain direction, and taking a step in the air, his movent technique brought him to where Li Shen’s Ti Seed killed the old man.
“Huh? Ti Laws?”
The young man was shocked, he find it hard to believe that he was actually seeing Ti Laws being used in this backwater Continent.
“But why does it feel even purer than aunty Jia’s Spatial Laws? Could this person be even more powerful than aunty Jia?!”
The young man couldn’t believe what he was sensing, but he wasn’t mistaken. These Ti Laws, even though they weren’t nearly as strong as his aweso aunt’s Spatial Laws, they were definitely purer. Like it was coming from a source that was fundantally stronger.
‘Was it that brat?’
He couldn’t help but speculate, though, he soon frown behind his veil as that was impossible.
Speaking of that brat, the young man cursed out loud.
“Where is that fucking brat?!! I want my Dragon Qi back!! Bastard, he even absorb the power father gave to protect myself, how fucking absurd is that?! I’ll find him and wring his neck, even if I have to scour this entire Continent!!”
Listening to the young man’s raging and ranting, the boy chid in and begrudgingly asked.
“What about your promise? I want my milk you promised !”
The young man paused and to appease the now flailing boy he said.
“I will-I will so stop being such a whining brat. I have to find those Sword God Clan’s descendants first and in addition that brat who stole my Dragon Qi. After, I’ll get you your favorite milk, alright?”
The boy pouted behind his veil, but he was appeased by the young man’s words.
Then with a step, the young man used his strange movent technique to leave the area with the boy.
