"You’re absolutely despicable!" Liu Yui shouted, pressing the speakerphone button. She was on the verge of being driven mad by rage.

"So, let’s make a deal. You hand over the mining contract, and I promise the Second Miss will face no harm," Dai Wushuang said bluntly, not bothering to hide his intentions.
"In your dreams!" Liu Yui rejected him without hesitation.
"Dai Wushuang, you’re nothing but a lowly servant. You were right all along; in our eyes, you have always been just a servant!"

In the end, Liu Yui’s words were rciless threats.

After she hung up, Liu Yui’s body trembled violently. Thankfully, Chen Zheng reacted quickly and imdiately steadied her. "Ms. Liu..."
It took her a long mont to regain her composure, but her breathing was still rapid. She clenched her teeth and hissed, "That damned bastard. I’ll make him pay!"
"Mr. Chen, I’m going to the mine now. Perhaps..."
"I’ll go with you," Chen Zheng analyzed calmly. "Dai Wushuang wouldn’t be this brazen unless he had a more powerful force backing him. That must be why he dares to turn on you like this."

Liu Yui felt Chen Zheng had a very valid point. She imdiately summoned the family’s top experts and headed straight for the mine.

Her expression was one of pure terror. She kept shaking her head, muffled sounds escaping her throat. She was clearly terrified.
Liu Yui rushed forward frantically, trying to rescue her sister. But unexpectedly, Dai Wushuang raised his pistol and fired a shot into the ground without hesitation. The gunshot forced Liu Yui to an abrupt halt.
"Now, now, Eldest Miss," Dai Wushuang said, his lips curling into a smirk. "Don’t be so hasty. Did you bring the contract I asked for?" His expression was utterly triumphant.
"Dai Wushuang, release my sister now, and I’ll give you the contract. I won’t trick you," Liu Yui said in a low voice.
"Eldest Miss, you don’t take for a three-year-old child, do you? Only a fool would believe such childish words." As he spoke, Dai Wushuang pressed the pistol in his hand against Liu Yuling’s forehead.
At the sight of this, Liu Yui panicked. Without hesitation, she imdiately took out the contracts. "Don’t do anything rash! The contracts are right here! You can take what you want whenever you like!"
"That’s more like it," Dai Wushuang ordered coldly. "Bring the contracts over to now. Slowly... walk over here slowly."
Liu Yui was so worried about her sister that she was being completely manipulated. She started to walk forward, but just then, a large hand stopped her.
"Ms. Liu," Chen Zheng reminded her from the side. "Your sister is already in his hands. If you’re taken hostage as well, the entire Liu Family will be in jeopardy."

"Don’t you dare!" Liu Yui cried out, her anxiety peaking. "Mr. Chen..."
She turned to look at him, completely at a loss. After all, her sister was at his rcy. In a situation like this, she truly had no idea what to do.
Chen Zheng just smiled faintly and casually took the contracts from her.
Seeing this, Dai Wushuang grinned triumphantly, as if he had already won. "Very good. You know what’s good for you, kid. Now, get on your knees for ..."
But before he could finish his sentence, Chen Zheng casually ripped the contracts in his hands to shreds.
