Please settle the paynt."
Behind him stood two brawny n with thick, thumb-width gold chains around their necks, looking utterly nacing. Anyone who didn’t know better would probably think they were there to collect protection money.
"So, you’re the one who ssed with the water and power?" Chen Zheng countered with a frown.
"Audacious!" one of Wang Chao’s n bellowed. "Our Brother Wang is asking you a question! Since when is it your turn to ask?"
Wang Chao casually waved his hand. "What are you doing? We’re here to collect managent fees according to the rules, not to rob the place. I’ve told you many tis to be polite and orderly! Both of you, stand up straight!" He then turned to Chen Zheng with a chilly smile. "Sorry about that. My two brothers are used to their old ways, so they don’t always know how to behave."
"But the managent fee is part of the rules. You should pay it, sir, shouldn’t you?"
"Alright," Chen Zheng slowly nodded. "Tell how much. I can pay you right away."
As he spoke, he pulled out his phone, ready to transfer the money.
"Here’s the bill for the property managent fee. You can look it over first, sir." Wang Chao placed an invoice on the coffee table, sliding it slowly toward Chen Zheng.
"Ten million? Manager Wang, I’m just living in this villa, not buying it. Are you sure you haven’t made a mistake?" Chen Zheng asked, his brow furrowing as he looked at the figure on the bill and sat up straight.
"There’s no mistake. It’s ten million," Wang Chao said, a cold smirk playing on his lips. "Think it’s too expensive? If you want a discount, that’s possible. Hand over the video of the Fan Family’s young master, and I’ll give you a fifty-percent discount. You’ll only need to pay five million."
At this point, Wang Chao dropped the pretense and revealed his true purpose. He had cut the water and power to force Chen Zheng to hand over the video, intending to extort a hefty sum of money in the process.
