Aakesh and Halie looked at each other with deep surprise in their eyes. She then nodded toward him and expressed worry since the opponent facing Aakesh was a mindless creature, having nothing but cruelty and battle instinct.
Aakesh then focused on the creature before him. It belonged to the chira group of races with the head of a demon, the tail of a lion, the body of a falcon, and the wings of an owl.
Ring!
The bell rang, announcing the start of the battle. The opponent was a peak True God level creature and a talented one at that.
Aakesh wasn't confident of victory, but neither was he sure of defeat, so Aakesh beca interested in the battle.
The creature fluttered its wings, and without making any sound, it was right before Aakesh with a slash. Aakesh moved horizontally to his left, easily dodging the slash.
He then kicked the creature. It was as if he had hit an iron wall. The creature remained still, only feeling so pain from Aakesh's kick.
The creature was in close range of Aakesh. It opened its demonic mouth, and energy started to amass at the tip. The creature was in no mood to prolong the battle. It wanted to win as soon as possible and then have its dinner.
Aakesh imdiately grabbed the creature's mouth and forced it shut, halting the gathering.
Screech!
The creature forcefully escaped Aakesh's control and let out a screech. Aakesh felt his eardrums ringing in pain.
His eyes turned colder, and he took a step forward, grabbing the creature by its horn. He then pushed it into the arena, creating a small dust cloud.
A slight pain suddenly attacked Aakesh, and following that, one of his fingers was cut clean by the creature, forcing him to let go of its horn. Aakesh suddenly sensed a danger to his life, so he imdiately backed away.
Boom!
The next mont, the ground where Aakesh had a mont earlier exploded, and lava erupted.
Following that, the horn on the creature's head split into two small horns, looking just like magma. Finding the ability of a chira was a difficult task since they could have nurous abilities and sotis only one. It all depended on fate, and the sa thing happened with Aakesh.
The horn atop the creature's head had no connection whatsoever with fire or any sub-elent associated with it, but sohow, it caused lava to erupt out of nowhere.
The battle had only begun, and Aakesh was the first to receive an injury. He imdiately activated a skill he hadn't used for long.
The next mont, a sword projection appeared above him. In no ti, it had grown to the sa size as the arena.
Aakesh executed the gesture of falling, and the projection fell. The creature was locked in space, so it had no choice but to face the attack.
Aakesh had gotten this skill in his early ti in Panagea, and it allowed him to mimic the skills of those Aakesh could defeat. The projected skill was one of the mimic skills of his earliest opponents in the Primal Dinsion.
The projection fell, cutting the creature in two, but before Aakesh could celebrate, the two parts ford an independent creature, growing the number of Aakesh's opponents by one.
What was even more challenging was that both had the sa level of cultivation, so the addition of another opponent caused deep trouble for him.
The audience on the scene gasped in surprise when they saw the creature getting cut in two so early in the battle, but the next mont, their eyes lit up after finding that it was done intentionally to use one of its abilities.
Halie frowned since she could see that the victory was moving farther from Aakesh. She was invited here due to her recent crowning, and she didn't expect to see Aakesh there in the first battle only.
She was also relieved that it was only the first battle since, in later battles, the opponent's cultivation levels would grow. Aakesh had shown her that he could trump the basic knowledge of a Divine Lord not being able to defeat a True God, but she didn't have full confidence in Aakesh against the chira.
The creature was also extrely talented and had a strong battle instinct, so it wasn't going to be easy.

Aakesh was knocked hundreds of ters back after the force of the explosion hit him. He felt his bones giving up, but his strong recovery stopped the damage from growing further.
With a groan, Aakesh stood up, and at that ti, he had many injuries spread across his body. The yellow Dhoti he had received from the system had also given up as there were nurous tears around it.
The cloth could only be up to Aakesh's cultivation level, so it failed to defend against a strong opponent like the chira.
The opponent had only a slim injury, but that was due to there being two of them. Aakesh had successfully killed one of them, which had taken everyone in the audience by surprise.
Aakesh cracked so of the bones around his neck that had clustered due to the attack and rushed forward. His speed was nowhere near as fast as it was at the start, but it was still within his desire.
He appeared right before the creature and punched. But before his punch could land, he suddenly took the strike back and kicked.
The creature was about to dodge the punch, but the kick ca quicker than anticipated and was hit right in his stomach.
Cough!
The creature coughed up blood, but not even a drop fell on Aakesh.
Aakesh imdiately activated [Apocalyptic Blast] once again and hit the enemy.
Boom!
Aakesh was immune to any kind of damage from the skill, so even his hair stayed still, and the creature bore the brunt of the skill.
The next mont, the creature got thrown out by an intense force, but before it could harshly crash onto the ground, its wings fluttered, stabilizing its posture.
Cry!
The creature let out a demonic cry, and imdiately after that, the entire battle arena was covered in a poisonous haze. It forced Aakesh to close all the pores around his body to breathe and also restricted his visibility.
