Chapter 140: The Tower
Aakesh waited for a few seconds more, and after seeing no one else raising their hands, he waved his hands, and the next mont, all the people who had raised their hands appeared on the platform.
A shocked look appeared on all the participants except a few faces. The tower looked giant when they saw it from their seats, but now that they saw it while standing in front of it, the size of the tower was taller than anything most in the crowd had ever seen.
Many of the participants couldn't even stand still due to the pressure released by the tower. The next mont, Aakesh snapped his fingers, and all the pressure released by the tower vanished as if it was never there.
"You can enter, but before entering rember that you only have three minutes to win the battle," Aakesh ignored the participants' reactions and announced.
He then waved his hands, and the next mont, the door of the tower opened. The mont it opened, the air on the platform turned cold as if sothing horrible was waiting for them in it.
Aakesh ignored their reactions and gestured for them to enter the tower. The participants nodded and entered.
There was a transparent energy field right at the door of the tower. Whenever a participant crossed it, their physical body fell down while only their consciousness entered the Illusion.
Aakesh had already told the participants about this, so they ignored it and continued passing the transparent energy field.
A few monts later, every participant had entered the tower.
A few minutes earlier, the group of George and the Elves had co up to him before leaving and complained about the unfair winning rule for beings like them.
The participants who won the highest number of battles above their cultivation would win the round, but they were already at the last stage of the cultivation, and Elasha was literally at the peak of the Primal dinsion.
After Aakesh heard their complaints, he only responded with, "We'll see," and told them to enter the portal.
Aakesh knew the event was rigged for beings like Elasha, but not even for a mont did he believe that she would even be able to defeat an initial Heavenly Monarch.
After all the participants had entered, all the black screens separated into 480 sections, with each section showing a participant. The crowd got the sa feeling of watching on a full-sized screen despite the fact that it was only one of the sections.
Since there were 480 sections, the crowd couldn't watch all the battles at the sa ti. So they chose one favorite warrior and decided to watch that screen until the end.
The majority of the crowd chose to watch either the Elves, George and Evelyn, or yesterday's winners.

When Lenna entered the tower, she got taken aback by her surroundings. Aakesh had told her, the designs and the opponents would be random. Only their cultivation level at the floor would remain constant.
Right after entering, she found a wall engraved with the murals of the fighting between the Orcs. The mont she looked at the murals on the wall, she felt that the wall was sucking her inside, but she moved her eyes right away.
She knew it must be the tower's doing to waste her ti since participants only had three minutes to spend on a floor.
She then took a deep breath to calm her mind and stepped on the stairs.
She counted the number of the staircases and found it to be 108 before seeing who her opponent was.
It was an Orc, at least three tis her size. It had a wooden mace in its hands.
The mont it noticed Lenna, it growled and rushed at her.
Lenna didn't even move and simply flicked the air in the environnt. The next mont, the Orc burst into pieces.
[Congratulations, you've successfully defeated your opponent on the first floor. Please proceed to the next floor.]
The next mont, a chanical alert echoed inside Lenna's head.
After hearing the alert, she didn't wait and directly entered the portal that had appeared after the chanical announcent.
The next mont, Lenna found herself in a similar setting. She felt even more pressure coming from the murals on the wall, but for soone like Lenna, who was a cultivator of the Tao Palace level, it was nothing.
She moved her eyes away and rushed to the top of the floor.
Ti flew by. Even though it was a random opponent, Lenna faced an Orc opponent until the initial Soul Formation level.
When she reached the 14th floor, only then did she find an opponent of the other race.
When she saw her opponent, her jaw almost dropped to the ground. Her opponent was a full-sized grown wyrm, but its cultivation level was only interdiate Soul Formation.
The wyrm was resting when soone's footsteps disturbed its sleep. It angrily raised its head and roared.
The roar ca to a sudden halt because it suddenly felt the air around it becoming threatening to itself. Before it could think of a counteraction, the air pressed it to the ground and the next mont crushed it.
[Congratulations, you've successfully defeated your opponent on the fourteenth floor. Please proceed to the next floor.]
The familiar announcent rang in her head next, and a portal for the next floor appeared.
Lenna took a glance at the wyrm for the last ti and couldn't help but shake her head with disappointnt.
Wyrms were the closest living descendants of the Dragons in the Primal dinsion, so she couldn't help but feel pity for killing one.
While entering the portal, she prayed for her next opponents not to be wyrms. Fortunately, her prayer worked, and her next floor opponent turned out to be a human.
It took her no ti to kill her opponent, and then she rushed to the next floor.
Around six minutes had passed since the event began, and until now, no participant had lost any battle.
It was currently Evelyn who had reached the highest number of floors. She was currently on the eighteenth(interdiate Nascent Soul) floor, while it was Elasha who was only on the third floor.
Elasha, unlike other participants, decided to let the wall suck her in. On both floors, she always awoke at the last minute and cleared the floor.
