Chapter 1216: Law Curse!
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Unaware of the conversation transpiring between Magnus and the Sacred Creator, Aakesh was relaxing in his chair. He heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store, so he opened his eyes and turned in that direction.
The next mont, an unfamiliar face greeted Aakesh's sight. It was a female Turas, a race in the demon group.
Turas were a mid-tier race in the Demon group with only a single Higher God.
The female coming toward the store was Gargi, the only Higher God in the race.
Demon groups of races were known for many things, but what they weren't known for is their appearances. On average, demon groups of races were below average looking in the Multiverse, with so of the worst-looking races in their midst.
The race Turas was the exact opposite of that. Every mber of the race had excellent features, so much so that they were put on the sa level as Elves in appearance.
The mbers of the race had light brown skin, a toned humanoid physique, and an average height of fifteen feet. These were basic features, but what made the Turas stand out were their eyes.
The mbers of the Turas race had unique kinds of eyes. It was just a shimry silver sclera with no pupils. It matched the silver hair of the mbers of the race.
Gargi, being the leader of the Turas, was the most beautiful being in her race. As she was approaching the store, the people on the street stopped what they were doing and looked at Gargi with smiles.
Gargi was used to that kind of attention, so she ignored the onlookers and finally reached the outside steps of the store.
"The store can help you solve the problem!"
Gargi took a deep breath as she rembered what she had heard from her friend before coming here.
Gargi then stepped forward and soon climbed the three steps. She then walked forward and stepped inside the store.
The next mont, the view in front of her changed as the sense-blocking array removed its restrictions.
Her eyes also fell on the blue-skinned man sitting on the chair and two other female beings sitting on other chairs.
Since Gargi had co here on her friend's recomndation, she recognized Aakesh as the store owner since he was the only blue-skinned of the three and a male.
Gargi didn't look around and approached Aakesh. "Hello, store owner!" She greeted him with a respectful tone.
Aakesh only silently nodded in response to her greeting, as usual.
Gargi didn't waste any ti or keep Aakesh answering other questions; she asked about the store's products.
"The store currently sells six products…" Aakesh was waiting for the request, so he concluded the introduction and the basic details of all six products in a single breath.
Gargi nodded since the store products were as her friend had told her. Her friend didn't inform her about the store out of goodwill, but she had to splurge so wealth.
There were no friends or enemies in the world; only benefits were the sole relation binder.
"Store owner…"
Gargi then began to share her story. Aakesh didn't disturb Gargi since he could see that the story played a part in what Gargi would buy.
Gargi was the leader of the Turas race and the only Higher God, so there was no competition for the top position from anyone else. Similarly, the planet she stayed on was a low-level, but better than the planet Curiel on which the store was located.
Gargi was not only the single Higher God in the Turas but also on the entire planet, so Turas were the overlords of their planet with all the valuable resources of the planet in their control.
Life was going well and stable for the Turas since there was no danger from outside or inside. But things slowly began to change as the second Higher God was born on the planet.
The leader of the race Jregas, who once competed with Turas, also succeeded in achieving the breakthrough and beca the second Higher God.
With that, a new round of competition began on the planet. Being a Higher God for a longer ti allowed Gargi to have higher strength than the opponent, but the difference wasn't that wide that she would be able to win handsoly, let alone kill.
Since she was still stronger, the expansion of the opponents stopped, but not even a year had passed when the third Higher God was born.
Since Gargi had ruled the entire planet for years as the only Higher God, when the third Higher God was born, the second and third combined their forces and attacked the Turas.
Gargi's strength allowed the Turas to co out as the victor of the war, with the other two Higher Gods returning to cultivation for recovering from their injuries. The victory wasn't without struggle.
Even Gargi was injured in the battle and had to recover for years when a new piece of information rang that the fourth Higher God had appeared on the planet.
Gargi could sense sothing awry in the situation, as one or two successful breakthroughs can be understood, but not three in a span of three years. One and two can be coincidences, but not the third occurrence.
Gargi began to research the cause of the sudden ergence of Higher Gods when she ca across the news of Turas getting cursed.
The curse wasn't due to other races; it was a law curse.
Law curses were a type of curse that rarely appeared in the world, either due to bad luck, getting infected randomly, or committing so frowned-upon act.
If the curse was due to bad luck or getting randomly infected, there were chances of solving it, but if it was due to committing so frowned upon act, then there was no coming back.
All the recorded instances of the curse had resulted in the extinction of the race.
Fortunately for Gargi, the law curse acting on Turas was due to bad luck. As for what caused the race's luck to drop so low, she didn't know.
The curse drained all of the race's luck and passed it on to other creatures. It resulted in an incrent of the Higher Gods in opposing races, pushing the Turas closer and closer to extinction.
