"Co on, slow pokes, just up ahead." Jake shouted as he leaped from roof to roof, the others following closely behind.

Jasmine had her sword secured tightly in its sheath around her waist. Daki's whip was also strapped around her hips as they all sprang from one rooftop to another with precise agility. Max had long abandoned the use of a sword.

He now relied entirely on his fists, knowing most of his system skills revolved around hand-to-hand combat. He handed Jasmine his own sword as a backup while keeping the association-provided boots, which amplified his speed just enough to match the pace of the others.

Soon, they all landed on the dilapidated outer wall of the town. Using the boots for a boost and combining it with their own montum, they launched themselves with explosive force, landing roughly five tres from the ground. About five tres ahead, the portal swirled ominously, a dark vortex brimming with chaotic energy.

From the portal, ten king-tier beasts had already erged, their gaze fixed nacingly on the town below. Fortunately, the hunters had arrived before disaster struck.

"Now, when we needed backup from another squad, we weren't given any. But when we didn't need it, they sent Zach and co, who nearly slaughtered us." Jasmine muttered, scowling, before darting forward without wasting another mont.

"The humans in the group, stay together and tackle the beasts one by one. Do not overextend yourselves. That goes for Jasmine and Daki," Jake emphasised as they sprinted forward.

"Lana, stick with Jim," he added.

"Wait, what am I supposed to do with this weakling? Why is he even coming? Shouldn't he stay in the back? Do you want him killed?" Lana snapped, perplexed.

"Trust , Jim isn't who he used to be," Jake muttered, eyes locked on the approaching orcs.

"Well, who cares? He's an E-rank hunter, too weak to even touch an interdiate beast, let alone a king tier," Lana argued, frustration evident in her tone.

"I'm not arguing further," Jake replied coldly.

"I'm going in." Max muttered, pressing into the ground before propelling forward like a living missile, his movents a blur.

'Since they all know I'm a dragon, no need to hide it. Ti to go all out!' he hyped himself silently as he appeared directly in front of the ten orcs already advancing.

The beasts were orcs—towering like living mountains, each standing close to seven tres of sheer muscle and rciless savagery.

Their skin ranged from ash gray to deep swamp green, thick and coarse like cracked rock.

Broad shoulders sloped into arms thicker than tree trunks, veins pulsing faintly with an eerie glow hinting at unnatural strength.

Their faces were brutish, tusks jutting outward, flared flat noses, and eyes burning with predatory red intensity.

Every step shook the earth beneath them, the reverberations echoing across the battlefield.

Each gripped massive weapons—iron-forged cleavers taller than grown n, spiked bone clubs, and jagged axes etched with faintly cursed markings.

Armor made of layered hides, tal fragnts, and bones clung haphazardly to their colossal fras.

They were less soldiers than walking annihilation, an unstoppable wave of raw power threatening to crush everything in its path.

And these were the beasts Max fearlessly charged to et.

Seeing the human streaking toward them, the orcs all lifted their massive weapons and swung with full force and blinding speed at the figure in front of them.

Like a living blur, the dragon darted to the side, letting the weapons cleave into the ground with a thunderous crash, the earth splitting and trembling violently beneath the impact.

Max soared slightly into the air, just after leaping upward, a confident smirk on his face as he sized up the beasts.

His eyes flicked to the portal, which had begun spewing even more monsters, each erging with snarls and razor-sharp claws.

His focus snapped back just in ti as a massive cleaver swung toward him at a speed so fast it montarily caught him off guard.

"You are just as reckless as ever, brother," Jake scoffed, appearing midair.

Four massive arms erupted from his sides, crossed in front of him as they absorbed the blow.

The impact of the cleaver sent a thunderous ringing echoing through the battlefield.

Seizing the opening, Max propelled himself forward, flas spiraling around his fist. With every ounce of power, he smashed it into the orc's head, tearing a gaping hole through the creature.

The beast collapsed with a deafening thud as the duo landed back on solid ground, slightly huffing, just as reinforcents finally arrived.

Ten more orcs surged out of the portal, gripping jagged weapons and roaring in unison, their eyes fixed on the humans who refused to retreat.

"I still think bringing Jim along was a terrible idea," Lana muttered, her brow deeply furrowed as she stared ahead at the advancing orcs.

"What? Worried about all of a sudden? Tch! I thought you hated weaklings," Jim replied, frowning.

"I still do. But as Jake and Max said, our squad is like a small family now. We can't let anything happen to any of us, so just keep quiet," Lana snapped back, her frown deepening.

Roarrrr!

The orcs scread in perfect unison, signaling the start of the brutal battle.

"Stick with whoever I assigned you to, and take them down now!" Jake growled. His body swelled rapidly, reaching an imposing eight tres in height as eight massive arms erupted from his sides. He lunged forward with frightening speed toward the beasts.

Silver wings unfurled from Lana's back as she grabbed Jim, launching forward. The battle erupted in full swing, monsters and humans clashing in a deadly, chaotic storm of claws, fists, and raw power.
