"What!"

Upon hearing Beidou’s words, Hao Tian beca furious with rage and stood up abruptly from his desk: "How preposterous! Tianpeng, already a minister of the Heavenly Court, not only disregarded the camaraderie among colleagues by attacking Juanlian, but also Yaoji, my dear sister, who completely ignored the Heavenly Rules and regulations. How could the Heavenly Court tolerate such a female immortal?"

Whether Hao Tian’s anger was real or feigned, Queen Mother and Beidou could guess partly.

His fury was half due to Yaoji, lanting her lack of contention, and half because of Juanlian, who showed no respect or restraint, being wild and arrogant. As for Tianpeng, Hao Tian didn’t really hold any resentnt. After all, his backing was strong, and his thods were formidable; he was not soone Hao Tian could afford to provoke.

"My beloved ministers, how do you think this matter should be handled?" Hao Tian cald his emotions a bit and asked.

In the splendid Palace of the Polestar, all the courtiers remained silent, none daring to touch this troubleso issue.

"Hmph, what? So we just let this matter slide?" Hao Tian felt resentful seeing his ministers acting as if it was none of their business.

After a long silence, Hao Tian suddenly said: "Where are the Twenty-Eight Constellations?"

The Twenty-Eight Constellations, standing in a corner, looked at each other in shock, thinking, "Great, getting shot while lying down!"

Helplessly creeping out of the corner, the twenty-eight n knelt down on one knee and said, "Your subjects are present!"

"Lead one hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals to the human realm at Guan River Mouth and capture Yaoji and Tianpeng!" Hao Tian reached out his hand and drew out a golden token, tossing it to Jiao Mujiao among the Twenty-Eight Constellations.

"Your subjects obey the decree!"

Jiao Mujiao received the token, leading the other twenty-seven on their mission.

Speaking of which, although the Twenty-Eight Constellations consisting of Four Symbols, Four Beasts, Four Guardians, and Four Directional Gods, all originated from the Demon Race, few knew they were disciples of the Buddhist Sect. Quite inconveniently, Hao Tian happened to know this.

By specifically sending them, Hao Tian intended to draw out the forces behind both parties and pull them all in completely. This way, his sister’s issue would naturally be ignored, and by the ti Yang Tianyou reached a hundred years later, Yaoji’s private commitnt to a mortal would also have been forgotten.

But will things really go as Hao Tian wishes?

...

After the court was dismissed, Hao Tian, accompanied by Beidou, went to the Turquoise Pool.

Frowning at the fish in the pool not far away, Hao Tian whispered, "Beidou, do you think this will work?"

Beidou raised his eyebrows and said, "Your Majesty, these Twenty-Eight Constellations are not fools. Since Jieyin Saint arranged for them to serve in our Heavenly Court, he must have left a back-up plan. Your actions might be sowhat inappropriate!"

"Do you think so highly of them?" Hao Tian scoffed disdainfully, his expression one of mockery.

Beidou shook his head, hesitated a bit, and said, "Your Majesty, may I speak freely?"

"Speak!" Hao Tian waved his hand nonchalantly.

"Dare I ask Your Majesty, what is the background of Marshal Tianpeng that makes you so wary of him?" Biting his teeth, Beidou still asked.

"I thought you would keep holding back and not ask!" Hao Tian responded with a light laugh, "Do you still rember, over a hundred years ago, when the Demon Race stirred up catastrophes and the Human Clan suddenly faced floods?"

"Of course!" Beidou nodded slightly.

"That year when the Demon Race caused the floods, twelve Dao Bodies appeared suddenly on the twelve long rivers of Huaxia Inland. They drove away the Buddhist Sect and repelled the Demon Race. You must have a vivid mory of these!" Hao Tian spoke on his own: "The plump Daoist who severely injured Jieyin and frightened off Flying Snake atop the Yellow River, is the master of this Tianpeng!"

"Hiss!"

Beidou sharply inhaled a cold breath, feeling a chill spreading from his heart and lungs, reaching every part of his body.

"What, what do you plan to do by asking these questions?" Hao Tian asked with a smirk, looking at the dumbfounded Beidou.

"Your Majesty, I advise you to abandon the idea of profiting from others’ misfortune!" Beidou, his old face furrowed, almost burst into tears in urgency.

"Why?" Hao Tian frowned.

Running his fingers through his beard, Beidou replied bitterly, "Since Tianpeng has such a profound background, coupled with his cultivation at the Quasi-Saint Realm..."

"Wait a mont!" Hao Tian suddenly interrupted Beidou, saying, "Did you just say Tianpeng’s cultivation is at the Quasi-Saint Realm?"

Beidou nodded blankly.

"Trouble!" Hao Tian’s face changed as he remarked, "This is going to be a big problem now!"

Yong State, Guan River Mouth.

Leading the Twenty-Eight Constellations, Jiao Mujiao received the order and brought a hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, rushing to the Guan River Mouth without stopping.

However, when they arrived and saw the Yang Family Mansion already completely turned into ruins, they were dumbstruck.

"Big brother, what should we do?" Kang Jinlong, rubbing the horn on his head, looked at Jiao Mujiao beside him.

"What to do? Search! Keep searching! Tianpeng killed Juanlian, even if we have to dig three feet into the ground, we must find this damn culprit!" Jiao Mujiao’s face turned fierce, his strong Buddha Power shooting straight into the sky.

...

In the southwest part of the Guan River Mouth, there was an exceptionally noisy small street. This street wasn’t on the main thoroughfare, nor in a bustling business district; it was just beside the busiest area of the Guan River Mouth.

This street had an interesting na: Grocery Street.

As the na suggests, the shops on this small street sold all kinds of things. Whether it was pots, shovels, chisels, or injury dicines... you could buy anything in any shop here.

Among these dazzling shops, there was one special shop, simply nad the blacksmith shop.

Compared to the slightly cluttered display of other grocery shops, this blacksmith shop solely displayed well-crafted shovels, rakes, and other agricultural tools, and of course, so swords and other killing tools.

After all, the world is not peaceful at present. There are wild beasts like tigers and leopards in the mountains, and the Demon Race might appear in the marketplace. Having swords can sowhat ensure the safety of the Human Clan.

Honestly, although this blacksmith shop is smaller than those large ones in the business district, it was doing quite well because the quality of the goods was good and the prices were cheap, so the neighbors often ca here to buy.

And the owner of this blacksmith shop was none other than Tianpeng Marshal, Zhu Ganglie.

Originally, after Tianpeng followed Yaoji to the Lower Realm, he followed the marks left by Yaoji to the Guan River Mouth. Alas, he was ultimately a step too late, and by that ti, Yaoji had already been married for many days.

With no choice left, Tianpeng found a plot of land facing the street, built a blacksmith shop, and settled down there for a long ti.

Previously, when Beidou ca to the Guan River Mouth and destroyed the Yang Family Mansion, Tianpeng took the Yang family of five and hid in his own blacksmith shop.

Over the years, all had been peaceful.

However, today, this tranquility was disrupted by a young man riding a brown bear. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to visit qidian to recomnd, vote for monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian to read.)
