Upon hearing this news, i Gui’s unwillingness reached its peak, a voice in her heart always telling herself it shouldn’t be this way.

All the glory should have been hers.

That Phoenix Strange Bird, described almost mythically, should have been her Contracted Beast.

This feeling intensified after she heard that soone had severed the Guiding Light.

i Gui always felt that the Exotic Bird should have been trampled under her feet, having squeezed out all its potential.

Because of these thoughts, she had been unable to enter a ditation state for cultivation for several days.

Frustrated, i Gui thought of releasing the Contracted Beasts she had signed with over the years.

There were three in total: a fox with pure white fur without any impurities, a Little Snake with sharp horns on its head and carrying the Jiao Dragon Bloodline, and a Long-haired Rabbit with green eyes.

Individually, these beasts had quite impressive abilities, displaying combat strength comparable to human beings at the Foundation Establishnt Stage in their juvenile period.

If not for i Gui’s extraordinary luck, she wouldn’t have stumbled upon these injured Exotic Beasts and contracted them.

These beasts were also of proud nature, and if it weren’t for the fact that i Gui had signed an equal contract with them and they sowhat acknowledged her significant destiny, they reluctantly agreed; otherwise, she could have been like the original owner.

Exotic Beasts have their pride too; if they are unwilling, they would rather self-destruct to drag their enemies to Hell.

But not all Exotic Beasts are like the original owner, extrely prideful.

Like the three Exotic Beasts contracted with i Gui, they were proud but also knew well enough to judge the situation.

Indeed, in just a short five years, i Gui had beco a partner they begrudgingly recognized. Given i Gui’s rate of advancent, shedding her Demon Body to ascend to the Upper Realm seed imminent.

Hence, when their companion called them, the Contracted Beasts appeared in a good mood.

"i Gui, i Gui, did you call us... Has soone dared to bully you again? Let us avenge you..."

Yet, i Gui’s mood did not improve; her expression remained dark.

The Contracted Beasts, which previously seed to bring much pride, now appeared entirely unsatisfactory.

Especially against the intense voice inside her, comparing them to the Phoenix Strange Bird that could ascend.

To observers, this scene might seem illogical, even deed as a fanciful thought, but i Gui felt that this was how things ought to have developed.

With such thoughts, the three seemingly fine Exotic Beasts also seed diminished in i Gui’s eyes.

Unlike humans, Exotic Beasts inherit through mories, not teachings from elders.

The White Fox, Little Snake, and Long-haired Rabbit carried pure bloodlines, naturally endowed with wisdom.

Though still juveniles among Exotic Beasts, their inner maturity was comparable to that of an adult human.

Especially the White Fox, known for their cunning and intelligence within their species, could infer much from a slight indication of i Gui’s outward emotions.

The relationship was originally based on mutual benefit and in just five years, it wasn’t enough to cultivate selfless affections between beast and human.

As i Gui’s face darkened, even the previously excited White Fox began to feel nauseated.

At a loss, perhaps they were more disadvantaged; otherwise, how could i Gui, with such poor qualifications, rise so prominently within the sect?

Outside, i Gui had obtained nurous precious items. Without her allies charging upfront and provoking collective rage, how could she consistently escape unscathed?

They hadn’t yet complained that this partner hadn’t brought them greater benefits. Yet, she was the first to complain about them.

Why?

White Fox bared his teeth at i Gui, his two paws flashing sharp claws, and he hissed loudly in protest.

At the height of her irritation, i Gui, the owner of the Beast Taming creature, dared to bare its claws at her master?

This was unbearable, absolutely unbearable.

Typically, i Gui might have the patience to play the role of a close friend with a few Beast Taming creatures. However, now... recalling the mighty Beast Taming creature that she had just missed out on, she rembered its disdainful look, talking down to her, indicating she was unworthy.

She felt a surge of violent impulse.

White Fox’s actions had crossed the exceptionally high threshold of her patience today.

Suddenly, a Beast Taming Whip appeared in i Gui’s palm, and she shouted sharply "How dare..."

i Gui swung the Beast Taming Whip towards White Fox’s face, leaving a thick gash across its body.

Caught off guard, and not expecting her to actually strike, White Fox was hit squarely.

The Beast Taming Whip, designed specifically for controlling beasts, was standard issue for every novice disciple in the Beast Taming Sect, but i Gui possessed the Cloud Whip, second only to the Sect Leader.

Its severity was such that a single strike could severely pain even the Divine Soul.

Stunned, it took White Fox a while to regroup, and i Gui’s second lash, whooshing through the air, was imminent.

White Fox let out a shrill scream, even more urgent, forming a small whirlwind, resisting the movent of the Beast Taming Whip.

"Do you realize your mistake?" i Gui asked icily.

White Fox, speaking human language and extrely furious, said, "I am not in the wrong... I see now, you have never truly considered us as partners. Indeed, humans are more cunning than our White Fox species."

Suddenly, a ring of light exploded from White Fox’s body. Despite the risk of minor damage to his cultivation, he forcibly dissolved the contract with i Gui.

A mutual contract can be dissolved by mutual consent.

But if one party is unwilling, the other wishing to forcefully dissolve it must pay a price.

In her previous life, White Fox was i Gui’s most important partner, and they maintained their contract until i Gui’s ascension.

This ti, the unbreakable duo of man and fox had experienced a disgrace not seen in the previous life.

White Fox spat out blood, furious beyond asure, his fox eyes filled with chilling hatred, "You wait, I will rember you."

Turning around, White Fox transford into a puff of white smoke and rapidly disappeared.

Stunned by this sudden event, Little Snake and Long-haired Rabbit looked at i Gui with disappointnt. Although they didn’t forcefully dissolve their contracts like White Fox, it was clear they no longer wished to see i Gui.

Little Snake and Long-haired Rabbit turned away, leaving a desolate silhouette for i Gui, and disappeared directly.

i Gui grew even more irate, cursing her montary lapse in judgnt for considering an equal contract with them.

Creatures are just creatures, with hearts that warmth can’t reach. She should have been harsher initially and bound them with a servant contract.

Yet i Gui failed to recognize that at that ti, with her modest talent, even if she had soaring luck, it would still depend on whether these Exotic Beasts were willing to accept a servant contract.
