Su Li was montarily stunned, then the red light ball rushed out the door, and King Cup’s quiet cries of pain echoed in Su Li’s mind.

The Carp Spirit still had a life-saving treasure.

Before Su Li could chase it, the light ball rushed into the darkness and quickly disappeared.

Su Li didn’t care much, it was just the demon soul of the Carp Spirit that had escaped.

While she still had a physical body, Su Li had been able to skin and debone her, so why fear a demon soul with hardly any combat ability?

What mattered more now was the pile of fish at in front of her.

Su Li’s saliva was already sizzling down her chin.

She hadn’t been this gluttonous before, only that she hadn’t expected the slimy, foul-slling Carp Spirit’s flesh to be so fresh and delicious.

She wondered if the flesh of other demons tasted just as good.

Su Li swallowed her saliva and directed her frail cousin to fetch a basin to pack up the fish at and take it back to the kitchen.

Shi Jiaojiao, realizing that her cousin was a brutal one, recognized that he had also abandoned the last bit of his chivalry.

She pointed incredulously at her nose and asked again to confirm, "Cousin, I didn’t understand what you just said."

"Young and already hard of hearing?"

Su Li muttered and then slowly repeated himself, emphasizing especially to Shi Jiaojiao who had slim arms and legs, "Now you understood, right?"

"I’m tired and startled, I’ll go back to my room to catch up on so sleep. When it’s dawn, I’ll co for the fish slice porridge."

Shi Jiaojiao huffed and puffed, her breathing even heavier, hardly short of snorting through her nostrils.

The startled person, though—who was it, really?

She hadn’t seen anyone more composed and brutal than him; the fearso Carp Spirit didn’t last two moves in his hands and ended up in a capital tragedy.

At the bottom of the deep lake, a huge golden carp suddenly opened its eyes, and a mournful scream echoed, creating a small whirlwind, tornted the surroundings at the lake’s bottom. After the scream faded, many fish with white bellies floated dead within ten miles of the golden carp.

The golden carp spat out a mouthful of Heart Blood, its breath even weaker.

It opened its mouth and spoke in human tongue, its voice filled with tears of blood.

Who was it, who had killed its daughter?

It spent another drop of Heart Blood, and a handso young man in a white robe appeared in the ripples of water, along with the scene of his daughter being scaled and eaten.

The golden carp was greatly anguished, several cracks appearing in its otherwise stable spiritual heart.

Its body turned dark, showing signs of falling into the demon.

----------

When Su Li woke up, she felt refreshed, her body seemingly lighter.

No wonder many demons in "Journey to the West" didn’t want to endure the arduous cultivation and sched to devour a bite of Tang Seng’s flesh.

The ease of advancing to the next level felt too good.

She had just slept, and the Spiritual Energy in her body had more than doubled; it must have been the effect of the few slices of fish she ate last night.

If she ate more...

Su Li’s eyes sparkled, and she hurriedly climbed out of bed.

By the ti she had washed and dressed, her younger cousin was already standing outside the door with the fish slice porridge Su Li had requested.

The enticing aroma made Jinbao continuously swallow his saliva beside her.

"This isn’t your business anymore, you too go to the kitchen and get a bowl of porridge to eat."

"There’s plenty of fish at, enough for everyone."

Su Li waved her hand generously, sharing the good stuff made it all the more enjoyable.

After all, she was never one to hog it all to herself.

Feeling great about herself again, Su Li happily took a big sip of porridge, which was so delicious it almost made her tongue swallow itself.

After drinking half of her porridge, she rembered the silent little cousin beside her.

Pretending to care, Su Li asked, "Cousin, have you eaten yet?"

Shi Jiaojiao, with a look that said she’d seen right through Su Li, dryly replied, "I’ve had breakfast already. You can have the porridge for yourself."

Then she added, "Grandma will recover completely after so more rest. It’s also been so days since I’ve been at the Su Residence, and my parents must be missing . I’ll head ho today."

Su Li replied, "That’s right, go ho and rest."

Su Li nodded understandingly.

That made sense; her little cousin had been quite frightened last night. In such situations, the company of family was what one longed for the most.

Suddenly, Su Li had a quirky thought, "Why don’t I send so fish at ho for your mom and dad, so they can nourish themselves well?"

Shi Jiaojiao scread, "No!"

Realizing her mistake, she quickly tried to fix it, "My, my parents don’t like fish."

Regrettably, Su Li said, "Alright, they don’t know what they’re missing out on. They won’t get to enjoy good things then."

Inside, Shi Jiaojiao furiously thought: Whoever wants that so-called ’blessing’ can have it, just not her...

Just thinking about the Carp Spirit, forrly in human form, gave her the creeps, let alone eating its flesh.

The reason she planned to go ho today was that she knew her cousin was going to have the kitchen prepare a fish feast for the whole day.

Looking at everyone else in the Su Residence, they were all praising how fresh the fish in the porridge was.

Of course it was fresh; the fish at had been carved while still alive.

Shi Jiaojiao wanted to complain but couldn’t vent to anyone around, feeling utterly alone like she was the only sober person in a room full of drunks.

They certainly had no idea that they were eating demon at.

Su Li sipped her porridge, casually observing her little cousin’s changing expressions, thoroughly amused.

Shi Jiaojiao had no clue that all her thoughts were transparent to her cousin.

He was just teasing her, otherwise her ladylike façade would crumble again.

Indeed, the Su Residence indulged in a fish feast for the entire day.

The chef, Uncle, went all out and created dozens of different fish dishes.

Even the usually vegetarian Old Madam and Madam partook heartily.

Seeing the Old Madam regain her health visibly, not to ntion the other sprightly youngsters.

Each person, with oily lips and bloated bellies, was extrely satisfied.

Today, the Su Residence felt like they were celebrating a festival, sweeping away the usual solemnity.

While everyone else was reminiscing about the various fish dishes they had all day, Su Li sneakily slipped out the door.

In a short while, she returned gripping a Cuttlefish Spirit in her hand.

Carrying the Cuttlefish into the kitchen, she even startled the kitchen staff with its size.

The Cuttlefish was so big that Uncle couldn’t help but exclaim in awe, "Such a huge cuttlefish must be close to becoming a spirit."

Su Li smiled but remained silent.

Indeed, it had beco a spirit.

It was just unclear whether cuttlefish at was as tasty as carp at.

Su Li licked her lips and cheerfully requested, "Uncle, tomorrow I want stir-fried cuttlefish at and cuttlefish rice cooked with that special sauce of yours."

"Alright..."

The unfortunate Cuttlefish Spirit, which had been loitering near the entrance of the Su Residence probably waiting for the Carp Spirit, was now caught by Su Li, saving her the trouble of looking for it.
