Chapter 526: Chapter 526: Zong Yue Passed the Test Chapter 526: Chapter 526: Zong Yue Passed the Test Feng Yi leaned in to flick off so ash from his cigarette and raised his thick eyebrows, “Didn’t you do any test questions either?”

Li Qiao still shook her head.

She had heard about the Round Table Club before, and although it belonged to one of the Eight Major Groups of the International Club, in her eyes, it wasn’t as attractive as the rcenary Group.

Feng Yi gazed deeply at Li Qiao, and after a short while, he raised his hand to pat Shang Yu on the shoulder, “Tsk, guess how your sister-in-law did on the entrance test?”

Hearing his words, the man slowly glanced at him, his indifferent and profound gaze as if saying, ‘Do I even need to guess?’

Feng Yi touched his eyebrow with the hand holding his cigarette, a smile flickering in his brown eyes, “If I didn’t know you better, I would have thought you leaked the answers to her.”

“She didn’t need it,” Shang Yu muttered, his voice muffled as he took a drag on his cigarette.

Li Qiao rested her forehead in her hand and lowered her lashes, but the corners of her mouth curved into a faint smile.

Feng Yi looked left and right.

Before he could continue speaking, Zong Yue raised her hand and ventured, “Uncle, have my results co out yet?”

Although she felt her IQ wasn’t high, she had at least taken the exam and was driven by curiosity to know her results.

Li Qiao’s eyelid twitched, this ssy family hierarchy was really headache-inducing.

Just now in the elevator, Shang Yu had introduced Feng Yi’s identity to her.

The second son of Count William’s family, a true nobleman.

Even if his title wasn’t as noble as a duke’s, one could tell from Feng Yi’s appearance that his father must be British Imperial born and bred.

Let alone, he was the president of the Round Table Club; without even checking the ICC system, it was clear he was definitely a core mber of the International Club.

At that mont, Feng Yi gazed somberly at Zong Yue, his eyes sweeping over her, “What do you think?

I’ve been observing you since you entered the café.

For just a few questions, how much ti did you waste?

Out of thirty-six questions, you got eleven wrong.

Did all your IQ go into dating?”

Zong Yue pursed her lips and stayed silent.

Don’t think that just because your family has Jewish blood, you can insult my intelligence freely.

Zong Yue, who had been ‘sister-in-law’ to Li Qiao just monts ago, now looked like a pupil being scolded with her head lowered; other than daring to complain in her mind, she didn’t show any signs of defiance.

All those present were her elders.

Then, Li Qiao glanced at Zong Yue and withdrew her gaze, casually saying, “In that case, sister-in-law must have passed the entrance test.”

She vaguely rembered that to be invited to join the Round Table Club, one had to answer twenty-five questions correctly.

Zong Yue had exactly that – twenty-five right answers.

“Cough—” Feng Yi choked on his cigarette with a ‘sister-in-law’ from Li Qiao, the smoke going straight down his windpipe.

Only then did he rember that there had been a wedding in the Zong Family recently, and Zong Yue’s marriage partner also seed to bear the surna Li.

Having caught his breath, Feng Yi dryly concluded, “Hm, indeed, she passed.”

Zong Yue suddenly straightened up, her chest puffed out with a sense of proud vindication.

Was her intelligence recognized?

Before Feng Yi could say anything more, Shang Yu, who had been silent for a long ti, flicked his cigarette away and glared at him, “Take her down to the restaurant first; we will be there in a bit.”

As a brother, he had long noticed that there was sothing off with Shaoyan.

Less than a minute later, Feng Yi left with Zong Yue.

As the door opened for a mont, his inquiry could still be heard, “How did you manage the visa?

Does your third uncle know you’re here?”

In a blink, the door cut off the sound of their conversation.

Once again imrsed in the silence of the living room, they could hear each other’s breathing.

With no outsiders present, Li Qiao’s deanor completely relaxed.

She perched half-leaning on the armrest, her chin buried in the crook of her arm, her clear, black-and-white eyes tracing the man’s distinct, deep contours.

Shang Yu sat in the middle of the long sofa, fiddling with a cigarette case in his hands.

After a mont, he lifted his eyelids and glanced over at Li Qiao, “Didn’t we agree to et at the airport?”

It was because of this remark that he had overlooked the possibility of her rashly coming to British Imperial.

At that mont, Li Qiao’s eyes shimred with emotion, her head tilted as she rested on her arm, giving a noncommittal response, “It’s all the sa where we et.”

As it turned out, the incident was sowhat a cody of errors.

When she ntioned eting at the airport, she was actually referring to British Imperial Airport.

Li Qiao had been certain Shang Yu would notice her tracks imdiately, especially since the advanced tracker in her watch could pinpoint her geographical location in real-ti.

But after leaving the airport, she neither saw him nor received any ssages.

She even deliberately lingered for a while, sitting in the car and making a call to Elder Xia Lao Wu.

But as it turned out, he really didn’t know she had co.

Now, upon hearing her words, Shang Yu pressed his lips together, furrowed his brows, and casually tossed the cigarette case onto the table before standing up and sitting down next to her.

The man crossed his legs, turned his head to look at Li Qiao, and raised his left arm to beckon her, “Co here.”

Li Qiao naturally fell into his embrace, tilting her face up with a smile, “I thought…”

No matter what she thought, the rest of her words remained unspoken.

How long had it been since they’d seen each other?

All in all, it had been more than a week.

The days of separation, though they could video call, weren’t enough to stave off the longing that burned within them.

Shang Yu’s kisses always carried a forceful intensity.

Even his occasional gentleness was rare.

For instance, right now.

He didn’t kiss her with his usual ferocity, but instead, with gentle tenderness, softly pecked the corners of her lips.

His strong arms wrapped around her shoulders, holding her close, his posture as he bent down to kiss her hinted at a deep, emotional bond.

When the kiss ended, his thin lips lingered on Li Qiao’s cheek, kissing her twice, and he asked in a husky voice, “When did you beco a Tan Sri of Myanmar?”

Li Qiao pressed her tingling lips together, lifting the corner of her eye, “Six years ago.”

The man lowered his gaze to et hers, cradling her face in his palm, his thumb brushing over her lips, “If I hadn’t checked, were you not planning to tell ?”

Li Qiao gave him a sidelong glance, nodding truthfully, “I wasn’t planning to tell you, because…

I thought you knew.”

As soon as she said the first part, Shang Yu’s handso face visibly darkened.

However, hearing the latter part, the gloom around his brows and eyes was swept away, and even his thin lips curved into a faint smile, “You have that much faith in ?”

Li Qiao leaned back slightly from his embrace, creating a small gap, their eyes eting, “Did you really not know?”

Although her identity in Myanmar had been tightly protected and concealed, she truly didn’t believe that Shang Yu wouldn’t have been able to find out with his capabilities.

Moreover, during their ti in Parma, Lu Xirui had publicly ntioned her attendance at a Myanmar Cabinet banquet, which she hadn’t denied.

And the ti when Shang Qiongying frad her in Chong City, she had also utilized Myanmar’s connections, leaving plenty of traces behind.
