At this mont, Nan Xin was locked in fierce combat with the rcenaries, delivering sidekicks and roundhouses, her movents both graceful and precise.
Then, she threw a punch aid at the opponent’s face, but before she could land it, she was yanked back by a force from the diagonal rear.
"I..."
Before she could finish swearing, Nan Xin caught a familiar scent of hormones.
She was so engrossed in the fight, with adrenaline pumping, that she hadn’t noticed Li San arriving with his n.
The man’s face was as cold as water, one arm encircling Nan Xin, while the other confronted the rcenary’s attack.
Nan Xin intended to fight alongside him, but Li San tightened his grip around her, refusing to let go. "Are you hurt?"
"No, let go." Nan Xin was forced to dodge along with his movents, "Let’s fight together."
Taking advantage of the situation, Li San gripped the rcenary’s wrist and forcefully disard him.
He glanced at Nan Xin, his gaze sowhat obscure. "Not necessary."
"Fine, then I’ll leave, go for it."
"No need."
Nan Xin: "???"
With that, Li San stubbornly held onto Nan Xin as he battled the rcenaries. Without his command, Ah Rui and the others dared not interfere.
In less than ten minutes, the remaining rcenary goons were all knocked to the ground.
Li San stood in place, surveying the surroundings with lowered eyes, then signaled Ah Rui with a look, who knowingly called for cleanup.
anwhile, Yue Yue, who was left to the side, glared at Nan Xin angrily, as if wishing she could bore two holes through her.
Such a faker, clearly capable of handling these troubles herself, but acting weak in front of the boss.
At this mont, Nan Xin, resting against the man’s chest, did appear slightly fragile, but in reality, she was just catching her breath, feeling dizzy.
Li San noticed the rise and fall of her back, stepped back a little, and asked in a low, somber voice, "What is it? Were you crying or touched?"
Nan Xin patted her chest and swallowed a few tis, "Neither, I feel like throwing up."
God knows what a crappy experience it is to fight while being held by soone.
Li San moved so fast during his clashes with the opponents, Nan Xin had no choice but to follow his erratic movents back and forth.
She wasn’t hurt, nor was she touched, she just almost vomited from the running.
Li San pursed his thin lips, his palm gently patting her back, "Your physical condition is too poor."
Nan Xin: "..."
Warm and tender one mont, a thunderstorm the next.
Yue Yue couldn’t watch anymore. She had struggled to get to the boss’s side, how could she let Nan Xin take over this man again.
Thus, she moved beside Li San, trying to make her presence felt, "Boss, those people are rcenaries. It’s normal for Sister Nan to get hurt. How about..."
Li San and Nan Xin both turned to look at Yue Yue.
Nan Xin smiled slyly and sarcastically, "Who told you I was hurt?"
Li San defended her in a deep voice, "Just because you’re useless doesn’t an she is."
Yue Yue’s face turned ashen with embarrassnt.
Nan Xin took a small step back, raising her eyebrows quizzically at Li San.
He’s actually defending her?
Yue Yue, having made a fool of herself, dared not say more and just stood there discontent and frustrated.
And though the rcenaries were lying all over the ground, soone suddenly shouted angrily, "Nan Xin, don’t get complacent. Even if you flee to Yangnan City, we won’t spare you."
Along the highway, the atmosphere beca bizarre and silent.
Nan Xin stared at the man who shouted, stepping forward, "What did you say?"
She had only taken one step when Li San pulled her back to his side, a deep, low query following in her ear, "Are you going to Yangnan City?"
Nan Xin denied it, "No such thing."
Perhaps fate was unkind, as Xiao Bai, her assistant who had been watching the drama from the car for so ti, also got out at this inopportune mont.
Bai Chan walked forward leisurely, brushing past Yue Yue with a nudge, and then asked gravely in front of Nan Xin, "Sister Nan, how did the news that you’re going to Yangnan City get leaked?"
Nan Xin looked at Bai Chan with an expression as if she were looking at an idiot, feeling for the first ti that this was a pig teammate hiding beside her.
At that mont, even if Li San was slow, he guessed so of the truth.
He tightened his grip on Nan Xin’s slender waist and without a word, shoved her into the back seat.
Li San locked the car door, his deep eyes unyielding, "Are you going to Yangnan? Did you ask first?"
Nan Xin leaned against the seat, her peripheral vision catching sight of Yue Yue’s face full of resentnt and hatred not far away, and sohow Bai Chan’s words instantly filled her mind.
——Before taming a man, I will first deal with the won around him.
Nan Xin withdrew her gaze, about to speak, when Li San lowered the car window and shouted, "Ah Rui, get over here and drive!"
Li San was angry, an inexplicable irritation and fury.
Nan Xin wanted to leave, to leave him, for Yangnan.
This realization flashed through his mind, making Li San’s temper flare uncontrollably.
The return journey was fraught with a sense of extre repression.
Nan Xin didn’t particularly feel anything, rely contemplating whether Bai Chan’s advice was feasible.
At the factory, Li San dragged Nan Xin out of the car, ignoring the astonished glances from his other n, forcefully leading her into the dormitory building.
Nan Xin jogged to keep up with him, her wrist aching from being pulled, her emotions gradually becoming unstable, "Can you slow down a bit?"
"Don’t you like it fast?"
Li San retorted, quickening his pace, deliberately opposing her.
Nan Xin directly hit him, "You’re really sothing, let go."
Li San didn’t let go, but instead made a sharp turn to face Nan Xin.
The man’s movents were too swift, and Nan Xin stumbled into his chest, her hand that was still in the air inadvertently landing a slap on the man’s left cheek.
The world went silent.
All the subordinates who happened to be passing through the dorm hallway stopped, dumbfounded.
Sister Nan is badass, actually slapped Third Master.
Nan Xin regained her balance, sheepishly trying to explain, "Uh, I didn’t an... ugh..."
The bandit, thoroughly exasperated after being slapped, picked up the woman and kicked open a door, furiously shouting at the lingering subordinates in the corridor, "Get lost."
Inside the dormitory, Nan Xin was thrown onto the bed, unable to struggle before Li San pinned her wrists.
The man knelt on the bed with one leg, his knee pressed against her waist, his expression extrely grim, "Nan Xin, getting bold, aren’t you?"
This proximity and position made Nan Xin a bit nervous and fearful.
Bai Chan was right; deep down, she was indeed afraid of Li San, loving and dreading him at once.
Nan Xin’s eyes fluttered, soothingly coaxing, "Boss, that was... an accident."
Li San vented his anger by tightening his grip on her hand, "Really? I thought you didn’t want your hand anymore."
"Hey, easy!" Nan Xin felt like her wrist bones were about to be crushed but in this situation didn’t dare struggle recklessly, hastily soothing him, "I really didn’t an to, calm down, or... should I massage it for you?"
Li San loosened his grip slightly, his handso face still as dark as ink, "Still planning to leave?"
"No, I’m not going anywhere." Nan Xin, taking the opportunity, asked, "Can you let go? My hand really hurts."
