"If I rember correctly, a certain soone dragged along with them." He took a step forward. "Ah, and that certain soone was you. So, here I am."

He sat next to her and she rolled her eyes away. Ah, she forgot she had to take him with her because she didn’t trust him to leave him with Diane and the kids for even a second.

But wasn’t it ti for him to leave?

"Hm, I thought you said you were passing by. Isn’t it ti for you to continue your journey?" Surely, he had soplace to be, right?

"Ah, I should. But... I found sothing more fascinating during my journey, so my end destination can wait." He talked softly. "So, Miss Alice, won’t you let accompany you for a while longer."

"I don’t need your company. I want to be alone." She said, throwing her face aside. What was with him?

But the masked man did not stop in his attempt; he took her hand as if certain she would not throw him off the building for annoying her.

"Being alone does no good." He claid. "It would only give you suicidal thoughts."

"And why would I get suicidal thoughts?" She asked with a look of disbelief in her eyes as she flung her hand out of his. "Besides, it’s not like anything was troubling that I would suddenly have suicidal thoughts."

"Ah, of course." He leaned back, carelessly. "Your long mont of solitude with that sad look on your face was not because you were bothered about the gaze of your friend."

Alice frowned. What did he want?

He was invading her space.

Maybe if she ignored him, he would go away. But when she raised her head, she found him right in front of her, floating in the air and observing her so closely that his mask was just inches away.

"What are you doing?" She asked, leaning back but this prompted him to lean closer, still observing her.

"Hm, your eyes have a mysterious color." He said.

"What mysterious color? You’re just being a creep at this point." She said, and got up but he just appeared before her, still bent on taking a closer look at her eyes. "Shit, get that freaky mask away from my face."

"Hm, is it my mask that bothers you?" He asked her.

"Your entire existence bothers . Now, leave alone." She said and turned to start leaving. She leaped towards the next building but he followed her, floating in the air.

"You know, there are rules that awakeneds have to follow." He said, causing her to roll her eyes.

"And I suppose you aren’t breaking those said rules, whatever they are." She said but he shrugged and relaxed in the air, placing his hands behind his head all while still following her and said,

"I’m an S-class, I can basically do whatever I want." He stated, and Alice stopped, her feet scrapping the floor she had landed on.

She turned to him.

"And I’m L-class, so piss off. You’re starting to get on my nerves." She said and turned away, only to find him in front of her once again and she growled, "Are you trying to pick a fight?"

"No, absolutely not. I would never win." He said, outrightly. "But I thought," he stepped closer to her. "...if I talked to you more, you would recognize my voice and maybe rember ."

Alice still couldn’t get it. If he wanted her to rember him so much that he was going this far, then why could he not just tell her where they had t?

Seriously, was that too much to do?

"Did I offend you?" The masked man asked.

"Uh, yeah. Pretty much." She folded her arms. "Can you tell why you’re really following ?"

"It’s because you’re just so fascinating, Miss Alice." He said, stepping closer, and she retreated her step, but she had forgotten they were on top of a building and at the edge, too.

So, there was no floor to step on. At that mont, the masked man reached out for her, grabbed her hand, and pulled her into his arms.

"Does this also offend you?" He asked and she stared at his white mask. Just what was he hiding?

"I don’t know your true intentions, but if you’re like that Florida lady who thinks of as a threat and you want to get rid of through any know-how, then I advise you to give up. You won’t be able to kill ."

"Everyone who knows the kind of powers you possess sees you as a threat, Miss Alice." He ntioned. "But they hold their peace, watching to see if you will change sides to the monsters that want to ruin this world. And if you do..."

"Why would I take the side of monsters?" She asked, interrupting him.

"In any case, I’m not trying to get rid of you. As I said, I would never win." He added and drew his masked face closer to her. "But I do admit that you are soone who has caught my interest and I... I want to see more of you."

"Hm, how do I interpret that?" She asked, placing her hand on her chin.

She was still in his arms, very much standing at the edge of the roof with him. He wouldn’t let go. If he did, she would fall. So, he could take a step back and allow her to stand on her own without his support but he wasn’t doing that.

Instead, he was trying to get closer to her.

"Mr Mysterious Mysteria,"

"Why do you keep calling that?"

"Duh, it’s not like you gave your na to begin with." She said, rolling her eyes. "In any case, I want to know. What do you see in my eyes that you find so mysterious? My eyes are brown."

"Ah, but there’s more than just brown." He said and glanced from one eye to the other but she wouldn’t know because the white mask covered up his entire face.

So, it was almost like she was talking to a whiteboard.

Alice wondered if he could see her third eye and took a shot at it.

"Do you see blue?" She asked him but he shook his head and said,

"It’s more like gold."

Hearing that, Alice tilted her head. Was he sure he was seeing correctly? Why would her eyes look like gold?

Or was it just the reflection of the moon in her brown eyes that made him believe they were gold?

"Anyway, I don’t know where this is going but I do know I need to eat as well as sleep. I’m spent." She said, and, at the speed of light, escaped his arms and appeared behind him, yawning.

She had been more than capable of getting herself out of that ss but she stayed still, just to hear what he had to say.

He couldn’t see her movent but he felt her brushing over his shoulder quite hard. He clutched his shoulder. Did she do that on purpose?

"I guess this is goodbye?" He asked and she glanced at him.

What was with that lodramatic tone? They weren’t exactly buddies so why was he sounding like that?

"See ya."

"Miss Alice," he interrupted her before she jumped off. "I’m glad you got out of your cell. And... I don’t believe the mana stones ran out of power that day. You were just too powerful for them to handle." He waved as his body faded away into the night, leaving her there.

Alice pondered on his words. What did he an by that?

And then her eyes widened as she realized who he was.

"Ah, so he was that guy. He really is a mysterious Mysteria." She let out a little laugh and looked up at the moon.

Ti to head ho.
