They returned earlier than Leo had expected but well, he couldn’t expect less from an S-class such as Devon.

He was never weak to begin with and the monsters in the red zone should be a piece of cake to him.

Mark and Devon helped out with the washing and necessary cutting that Leo left to them, but after all of it was done, they still hadn’t seen any special magic Leo planned on using to extract the poison that the monster had.

"Alright, your job here is done." Leo said, pushing them out of the kitchen. "This part no longer concerns you." He said and shut them out for the kitchen.

Mark and Devon stared at the empty space in silence. They were perplexed.

They were really looking forward to seeing the mysterious magic but it was too bad.

"I’ll head out for a bit," Devon said to Mark. "I’ll co back because I’m curious how this will end."

"Alright," Mark nodded and watched Devon disappear from that position. Once he was gone, Mark exhaled.

He looked at his hands and then clenched them. Leo’s words imprinted deeply on him. He needed to work hard to be of use to Alice. He couldn’t confine himself to the kitchen forever.

Maybe... He should try going into a gate one of these days.

"You want a bite?" Leo asked Mark who blinked his eyes, confused since he had not said his thoughts out loud.

’Did he read my mind again?’ he wondered but Leo shook his head and said,

"You must be wondering if I’m reading your mind. But I don’t need to read your mind to know that you’re curious about the taste." Leo started heading for the stairs.

"Are you going to wake her up?" Mark asked but Leo shook his head.

"Usually, she would’ve gotten a whiff of the aroma and rushed down but I stopped that from happening." He said and stopped at the top of the stairs. "I blocked all sound and sll from entering her room so she could keep sleeping soundly. I’ll go wake her up now but she’ll only get down after taking her bath. So, in the anti, please prepare so healthy side dishes."

With that, he turned around and left.

Mark nodded, understanding Leo’s intentions, and went to the kitchen. His first thoughts were to clean up the blood and everything else they missed while Leo was preparing the at but when he got there, to his shock, it was sparkling clean.

’It’s late.’ Leo thought. ’She should take a bath, eat, and then go back to sleep.’ he went towards her and started taking off her clothes one after the other. ’Thankfully, this isn’t her first ti taking monster at so she won’t have excessive energy intake that will cause her to sleep for days.’

He succeeded in taking off her shirt and then sighed. He should’ve just woken her up and not this. She wasn’t the type but if soone else saw him doing this, they’d take him for a pervert.

Thanks to reading her awareness, she was able to tell if there was soone in her room even if she was deep in sleep, but this ti, maybe it was because the person in the room was Leo, but she wasn’t moving an inch.

Leo sighed and carried her towards the bathroom, dropped her in the tub, and then dragged his sleeves up.

Leo adjusted the temperature of the water on the shower head by checking it on his own skin. At first, he tried it without turning on the cold water, so he was showered with hot water, which was enough to scald his skin, but he didn’t feel it.
