The Fate Of The World Is In My Hands, But All I Want To Do Is Eat! Chapter 245: There was a girl she took in
It was Friday, the day when the Awakened classes would use the fields for the entire day.
The governnt had worked on it to withstand the full power of the students. And if they managed to destroy it, just one person, then that person would get the recognition of the agency and governnt.
So, a lot of students tried to make a ss of the equipnt, hoping to seem exceptional, but none of them ever succeeded.
All students were lined up according to their class, A, B and the rest. A-class lined up with their red na tags pinned to their tops for preventive asures and the other levels did the sa.
The sound of a loud whistle drew all their attention, and they turned to face the front of the field where there was a podium, and on top of it was Miss Stella as well as their P.E. teacher.
"Okay, students from all Classes," Miss Stella spoke up. "I’m so glad to see you all gathered here with such lively spirits. As you all know, the sports week for awakened students is coming up, so from today, and throughout next week, we’re all going to be having one subject. P.E." she delightedly announced and everyone cheared in excitent.
There was nothing more exciting than using their powers however they wanted during P.E.
"Okay, and as such, since we’re all going to be using the field at the sa ti, we’re going to have a few professionals take over the training and teaching." She announced, once again blowing her whistle and making the kids excited.
Having professionals teach them was a huge privilege. They were going to be taught by veterans in the field.
Alice, wearing a white shirt, blue shorts, and white sneakers, rested her back on Leo’s body. Leo was also wearing sportswear, which was a white shirt and blue shorts. Only, his weren’t shorts.
While the girls got shorts, the boys got pants.
"I hope it’s as exciting as they make it out to be." Alice grumbled and the person in her front, Clarissa, eyed her and hissed. "Ah, she heard ."
’Can she take this seriously at least? She’s so annoying. I wonder why I’m even in front of her. Let go ahead.’ Clarissa walked forward, widening the distance between them.
"Ouch." Alice exclaid at the rejection. "She’s still so cold."
*By the way,* Leo communicated with her telepathically, and she raised her head, looking at him from below with her back still resting on his chest. *You never told what you rembered of Clarissa from your previous life.*
’Oh, that? It’s sothing awful, so I understand why she hates so much even though she hasn’t experienced it in this life. The hated runs deep and of course, it was a misunderstanding. But...’ she shook her head. ’It still happened, so I’m guilty either way.’
Leo looked at her wondering what it was and as if feeling Leo’s curiosity, she said,
’There was this girl she took in. It looked like it was her sister but I’m not sure they’re related by blood. During a break, she was next to the monsters. I took her in, promising to protect her till we got out of there but...’ she squeezed her folded arm and looked up at him with a smile. "I just wanted to live no matter the cost."
Leo’s eyes widened. Wait, it wasn’t what he was thinking, right?
Alice from the past would never...
"At least, that’s what Clarissa and the others thought I did though." She added, clarifying that those were not her thoughts at the ti.
Just how people perceived the situation...
"I didn’t even care for my life since I had already lost a lot at that ti, it would seem. So, why would I be so desperate to live?"
She scuffled a bit, glancing at Miss Stella on top of the podium. Her lips were moving but Alice could not hear a thing she was saying. Probably thanks to her mind being occupied by sothing entirely different.
"I was trying to save her but anyone who saw that situation would imdiately assu that I was sacrificing the little girl to save myself. No one saw that the little girl had bitten my hand, stopping from saving her because she felt... ’It will all be for nothing if you die with ’... She was a real piece of work, that kid." She let out a soft and curt chuckle. "Taking on a responsibility that no one asked her to take. If she had just done nothing and let save her, we could’ve both survived."
She fell silent after her explanation, and Leo went silent with her.
He knew she wasn’t like that. Well, he could see why Clarissa hated her now. That sort of misunderstanding would cause such deep-hearted hatred that no simple words could fix it.
"As for why you couldn’t recall any interaction with Clarissa, who held such deep hatred, well, it was because she died before she could even apprehend . Her entire body was eaten up by a monster." She glanced towards Clarissa who was far apart from her. "A terrible fate."
"Okay, let’s not waste any more ti and get to it. The day is short when you’re having fun, right?" Miss Stella spoke up. "Let’s give it up for your new trainers."
Stepping onto the podium was a lady who happened to be a mber of the Rose Guild.
Just thinking about it made Alice roll her eyes away. She still rembered that the Rose Guild was Florida’s turf.
And since Florida had gone missing after their fight, she was probably dead; there had been a lot of stir in her guild, and news circulated around that she might’ve been killed by a beast.
’If only that were true, then Micheal and I wouldn’t have had to get our hands dirty.’ she thought, resting her back lazily on Leo once more.
The lady from the Rose Guild stood in front of them and said,
"My na is Amira and I’ll be your female trainer." With those simple words, she walked to the side and let the others introduce themselves.
"Wow, she’s so pretty." The students started murmuring.
"She looks so strict but that just makes her even more alluring."
Amira was a pale beauty with sharp black hair and rosy red lips. She had such an exquisite beauty.
So could even say she was the modern version of snow white, given her striking features.
But when standing next to their beautiful blonde and blue-eyed teacher who wore round specs and had big boobs, she paled in comparison.
And then the next person who walked up the podium was...
Alice’s eyes slightly shifted as she saw them.
"Good morning, everyone." He spoke up, his voice as cold as she rembered and his expression as annoying as it could ever be, looking down at everyone like he was a fed-up teen who had his favorite toy taken from him and he had been forced to show up and put on this act in order to get it back.
He glanced at Miss Stella at the corner and then at the crowd, adjusting his cap.
"My na is Philip." That was all he had to say and then walk away but then a voice from the crowd, a familiar one too, spoke up.
"Huh? What’s that entitled brat doing up there?" Alice asked and unknowing to her, she had been the only one talking, so her voice was heard by everyone in the field, including Philip.
Thus, dragging unnecessary attention to herself.
