"You want to... Switch seats?" Damian asked, surprised.

The guy who seed popular, had walked towards them with his minions and asked him to switch seats with him. Hmm, that’s not sothing odd. After all, sitting next to Damian was that gorgeous new girl, so of course he wanted to take over that spot.

"That’s right." The guy said. "Let introduce myself. My na’s Lucas Davidson. My father owns Davidson Corps and, of course, is a huge donor to the Awakened Agency as well. I am the pride of my father and of this nation, if I do say so myself." His smug was so wide that it was more than clear that he was trying to intimidate Damian with it. "What does your father do?" He asked.

"I don’t have one." Damian answered quite calmly. "And I don’t have a mother either, so don’t even think of asking."

Lucas felt he was being rude, but at least now he had sothing to taunt him with.

"Haha, so you don’t have connections, is that it? In other words, aside from the fact that you’re an awakened," he peered closer, showing his threatening gaze. "You don’t have any stand in this country."

Damian went silent. What was this guy talking about? One didn’t need to be a parent’s favorite to have a place in this country. After all, what use was it of being a parent’s favorite when he was already his brother’s favorite?

His brother was the guild master of Snow Guild and had a huge brother complex over him, so that was enough.

"So," Damian spoke up. "On what basis do you want to change seats?" He asked and Lucas frowned.

"Haven’t you been listening this whole ti?" He dropped his hand on Damian’s desk. "You’re not worthy of sitting next to that beauty."

"Hm, on what basis am I not worthy?" Damian asked, acting the oblivious fool he was believed to be.

Even if he did understand perfectly why Lucas was doing this, he did not like letting his opponent have an easy edge. In other words, ask them questions until they lose their cool.

"Dammit, are you a retard?" He gritted his teeth, his forehead creasing in annoyance and anger. He could feel it. This guy was ssing with him and acting all innocent.

He got up, took a step back, and prepared to face him. The rest of the class watched diligently, wondering if a fight was going to break out.

"You’re going to regret ssing with ." Lucas declared and Damian asked,

"But I believe you were the one ssing with and not the other way around." This simple confession got the whole class laughing and Lucas felt humiliated.

"You bastard!" He crushed his fist in his palm and then it started glowing. More like, it was sparking. Little sparks were floating around his fists. "I’m going to show you the difference between you and . By the ti I’ve shocked you back to the real world, you’ll learn not to ss with soone with connections like . And-"

"Yawn," Alice’s sudden bored tone broke through his threat, and he looked behind Damian, as well as the rest of the class, to find Alice awake and watching the whole thing.

And they were surprised.

Ah, it wasn’t a surprise that she woke up since Lucas had been so loud, but it was the boredom on her face that made the class, as well as Lucas, feel that the entire situation looked like a joke to her.

"You’re awake?" Damian asked but she yawned.

"I never actually got to sleep. If I did, I wouldn’t be able to wake up for the rest of the day. I just..." She glanced towards Lucas who flinched as her eyes t with his. "...wanted so peace and quietness."

Lucas was at a loss. He didn’t know if to continue his actions. For one reason, it seed he had found himself in the new girl’s bad book, and for another... Gulp... Her eyes had suddenly beco so terrifying. He had no idea what class she was in so he didn’t know if he could force her into submission.

It would pay a lot if he had a minion as pretty as her and a girl he could flaunt around. He was just a B-class awakened, after all.

’No, I can’t back down now.’ He thought, secretly glancing at the rest of the class. ’If I do, they’ll think I’m a wimp. They would mock for the rest of the school year. I...’ he gritted his teeth. ’I’m going for it.’

The spark around his fist increased and electric currents started flowing through him. So, in conclusion from a glance, one could tell he had the power of electricity.

(Mind if I sotis refer power to ability from now on? Thanks in advance.)

"Don’t say I didn’t warn you." He echoed but Alice simply raised her head and started searching for sothing in Leo’s bag.

Damian was a bit frightened by this ability, after all, it wasn’t simple, but he was more scared that if he tried to dodge it, it would hit Alice.

He didn’t create this ss; Lucas did, but he was the recipient of Lucas’s frustration, so part of it was his fault. Then, he had to take the hit.

"Are you ready to admit defeat?" Lucas asked, the currents spiraling around him, connecting to the chairs and even the light bulbs, "Do you know that you are in the wrong?"

Damian ignored him. Rather, he prepared himself for what was to co.

"Alright then," he snickered, proud and confident of his ability. "Here I co." He threw his punch, and Damian closed his eyes, ready to take the hit, when Alice pushed his head down to the desk.

"Move," she simply said and blocked Lucas’s attack with a giant textbook.

Current doesn’t flow through dry paper easily and the material of this particular textbook wasn’t a really good conductor. In other words, Alice stopped Lucas’s attack with the textbook and the only damage done was the first burn on the textbook cover, as well as a few other pages.

"W-what?!" Lucas exclaid, terrified and he stepped back. "H-how did... How did you block my attack so easily?"

Alice swung the textbook and cackled,

"Wow, would you look at that? This useless big ol’ thing has quite the use after all."
