"Yes, it’s ready." He said and glanced at Leo. "But, Alice, who is this?"

"This is Leo, my boyfriend." She said, and Mark’s eyes dilated in shock right away.

Leo imdiately smacked the back of Alice’s head,

"Stupid, that’s not how you should introduce ." He said

Alice, who was still pissed at how he carried her, lost it with him. She clenched her fist and punched him in the gut, shocking Mark even more.

"You’re really pissing off, Leo. I think it’s ti for a lesson." She said, and Leo returned the treatnt, but he did not punch her. He grabbed her hand, smirked with his eyes wide like a maniac, and said,

"Right back at you."

He gripped her hand tightly and threw her down the stairs.

Alice was able to land on her feet and dodge Leo’s leg slam in the nick of ti but he succeeded in crushing the floor.

"You think you’re all that?" She taunted him and charged for him, grabbing his hair and he grabbed hers. "Let’s go bald together, you moron."

"Thank goodness I’m not human then. I can grow my hair back." He gloated and they slamd their heads together, creating a shockwave that Mark had to guard against the shock with his hands.

Mark was quite confused as to what was going on, and he slowly grew panicked and scared for Alice.

Who was this guy and why was he fighting with Alice?

No, the question was... How was he able to fight with Alice?

She was very powerful. She was...

"Stop it!" He yelled, and they both paused, slowly turning their heads to Mark, who looked pissed. "I don’t know what’s going on, but I don’t think I can stand here while you two fight and hurt yourselves and destroy my house along the line." He added and they both turned to the crack on the floor caused by Leo’s leg slam.

"Leo’s fault, not mine." Alice imdiately blad Leo.

"Ah, I don’t think I would’ve made a crack on the floor if you had just let crush you like an insect." He said and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Oh my, should we see who gets to be crushed like an insect?" She asked, with a mocking smile but they suddenly got smacked on the heads by the spatula Mark was holding.

They felt his boiling rage and gulped as sweat dripped down their foreheads.

Why did his energy feel like an angry mother?

"Both of you, I think it’s ti to calm down and reflect."

Alice sat down calmly on the floor with her legs folded into a lotus, and next to her was Leo who was keeping his mouth shut for Mark’s sake and definitely not hers.

"So, from the top, Alice, who is he?"

"He’s my..."

"Familiar." Leo imdiately cut through her words before she spouted sothing unnecessary again. "I am her familiar and my na is Leo."

Alice looked at him weirdly. What was a familiar? She wondered.

*Idiot, familiars are like spirit creatures or pets that can aid their master in battle. Just tell him I’m your familiar and I’m not human. I don’t think he’ll let stay here otherwise.*

’Hm, okay.’ she nodded and turned to Mark. "He’s my familiar, and I supply him with power, so he has to be next to at every ti." She said, smiling. ’How’s that?’

*Perfect.*

Two out-of-control kids who were butting heads together a second ago were acting like nothing of that sort had happened and were back on the best terms.

"Familiar?" Mark asked, still skeptical. He looked at Leo who was putting up his friendly smile to bribe Mark to believe it.

But anything that was that handso and having such a dashing smile could be considered a threat to him, since it was basically more competition. Yet, he could not make his thoughts known.

"So, he’s not human?" He asked and they both nodded. "But he looks exactly like a human. I don’t think I’ve heard of a familiar that takes on human form perfectly."

"Ah, but it’s not completely perfect." Alice said. "Co closer, Mark. Take a look at his eyes."

"His eyes? What for?"

"He was able to transform into a human but missed one tiny detail."

Mark stepped closer and looked at Leo’s eyes, as Alice had asked. His eyes widened when he realized that Leo did not have normal eyeballs.

They looked like they had a Milky Way swirling in them. Maybe from afar, one may not notice it but you close, it was so evident and so beautiful.

"You see?" Leo said. "I’m not human."

Mark drew back and gulped. Yes, he wasn’t human but... He was still male and a very handso one at that.

Was he supposed to let soone like that stay close to Alice 24/7?

"Well, now that that’s settled," Alice hopped down from her chair. "I really need to go take a bath." She stretched her arms. "Mark, you don’t mind that he’ll be staying with us from now on, right? He can’t live without and I’m stating a fact."

"Well, I don’t think there’s anything I can do about it." He said, and she smiled, hopping to hug him.

"You’re too kind." She broke the hug and started heading for the stairs. "Co on, Leo."

"Coming." He got down from his chair and went after her, causing Mark to panic.

"Wait, you’re taking him along?" Mark asked, looking startled and she nodded.

"Well, yeah. We can’t be too far from one another. There’s like a thread connecting us, so if we’re far from each other, it’ll cut and Leo will disappear."

"But... To take a bath?"

"Ah, don’t sweat it." She waved it off. "Leo’s always been there when I was taking a bath. It’s not the first ti."

With that, she hurried away, leaving Mark to tremble in disbelief. That guy had always been with her? When she was taking a bath? How? This was the first ti he was seeing him and...

A realization struck him right away and the na escaped his lips,

"Leo," his face contorted in grief. "I knew that na sounded familiar. So, that’s ’the’ Leo who always gives you orders, isn’t that right, Alice?"
