"It’s been a long night. I won’t hold you back any longer so hurry up and leave with your boyfriend, so you can retire early. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything here."

Alice blinked, confused. When did she say Leo was her boyfriend?

’Hm, but it might be true.’ she thought. ’A boy who is my friend is my boyfriend, right?’

*Most people would misunderstand." Leo said to her in her mind but she completely ignored him and instead went to grab Adolf’s hand, saying with a bright smile,

"Alright, gramps. I’ll leave now. See you in less than 24 hours." Her smile was bright, and her teeth were on full display.

She was secretly reminding him that she would be coming to his place for dinner so he should be prepared.

’And there’s no way I’ll let a gate break disturb our dinner plans, muhahaha.’ she silently snickered but it was kind of creepy.

Adolf only laughed over it.

He dropped his hand on her head and stroked gently.

"Alright, I’ll send soone to pick you up when it’s ti. But for now, you really need to leave." He said, his eyes rolling towards the direction of the desperate reporters.

"Okay, gramps. See you." She said and turned to Leo. "Co on, Leo. Let’s go."

Leo nodded but before he left with her, he approached Adolf and shook his hand.

"It’s nice to finally et you." He said, smiling. "Please take care of us in the future."

His smile was so blinding that Marcus had to help Adolf put on a pair of sun shades while not forgetting one for himself as well.

"Ah, I understand that you have the face of a God but please do take care of Alice. She can be a little immature but she’s a good kid." He said, and Leo nodded.

"Yes, sir. I’ll always be by her side so no worries."

"Geez, are you done with sugarcoating your words?" She nudged him with her elbow. "We need to leave. Mark should be done cooking by now."

"Alright, alright." He walked up to her and she said,

"I’m feeling lazy right now, and sleepy too." She rubbed her eyes like a little panda. "Carry , will you?"

An irk ford on Leo’s forehead.

"Do you just want to make your personal piggyback ride?" He asked but she pouted.

"And did you not make your personal morial card where I had to keep your consciousness for months?" She muttered, leading him to a sigh.

"Alright," he said and turned around to show his back. "But you can’t keep treating like this. It hurts my dignity as a man."

She rolled her eyes.

"Please, you’re not a man so there’s no dignity to hurt." She nonchalantly said. "Anyway, are you going to bend down or do you want to climb?"

As soon as she asked that, he lifted her and threw her over his shoulder.

"Hey, what are you...? There are caras, you know." She yelled.

"Ah, I was sure as hell that you never cared about being captured by caras." He said with a smirk. "After all, you don’t care what they say about you."

"But this is different. You’re carrying like a sack of potatoes." She beat his back but he turned a dead ear to her complaints and endured her attacks.

"You’re tired and you asked to carry you, which I agreed to. So, even if I carry you like a sack of potatoes, you have to appreciate my effort, haha." He said, making her flush in embarrassnt.

Just how could he?

She pounded his back even more but he did not budge. He smiled happily and waved at Adolf and Marcus.

"We’ll see you soon." He said and took off.

"Put downnnn!!!!" Alice yelled as they flew into the distance till they were out of sight.

Adolf and Marcus watched the whole thing in silence.

Adolf, who had experienced Alice’s bone-breaking punch, even when it was a ’friendly’ punch, could not help but wonder if that young man’s back was okay after Alice had pounded the daylights out of them.

He looked okay. Maybe he could match Alice’s strength. He wondered but he had never heard of an awakened like him.

And if he could match Alice’s strength, then shouldn’t he be a well-known awakened?

"Marcus," Adolf called and Marcus responded,

"Yes, chairman?"

"Get information on that young man. She called him Leo. Check if he belongs to any guild or if he is a foreigner. He looked very... Different."

Marcus took note. But he did not understand sothing.

"With due respect but if I may ask, what made you think he could be a foreigner?" Marcus asked but Adolf went silent, staring at the sky that had cleared up after the gate dispersed.

It was beautiful with tiny twinkling stars.

"That young man has a peculiar pair of eyes." Adolf suddenly exclaid and Marcus nodded.

Though he did not see the eyes clearly, he did catch a glimpse of a glitter.

Ah, maybe it was because he was just so handso?

"He’s also very handso." Marcus said but realized he said that at the wrong ti, which could lead to a misunderstanding, so he cleared his throat and added, "Not that he’s a foreigner because he’s handso, but... do you think he enchanted her with his looks?"

"Don’t think about that. They look like they get along and that’s all that matters."

Alice and Leo got to the apartnt, and Alice, vexed with Leo, simply stord in, planning to ignore him, and Leo wasn’t even planning to say anything either.

He was sure she would talk to him first. So, they just needed ti to tell.

As Alice opened the door, she found Mark with an apron on. He heard the door and rushed to see if it was Alice and thankfully it was but... Who was that next to her?

"I’m back." Alice said with a lazy tone and started heading for the stairs with Leo following her from behind. "I’m going to take a bath first so I’ll co down once I’m done. The food is ready, right?" She asked and he nodded, though still looking a bit confused.

"Yes, it’s ready." He said and glanced at Leo. "But, Alice, who is this?"

Alice paused, she turned to see he was asking about Leo. She was already on the stairs and didn’t want to waste more ti, so she opened her mouth and said,

"This is Leo, my
