The next day, at the Academy of Mystique.
It was the first day of preselection for the Mystic Court contest, and many mystical creatures had been gearing up for a big showdown since stepping through the gate.
Opportunities like this to officially engage in a brawl inside the academy were rare indeed!
At the school gate, Dashiell was the first to step off the vehicle, excitedly waving toward the inside of the car,
"Lucas, Adam, hurry up and co out. I’ll take you to see the preselection contest for my class first!"
There was a delayed response from those inside the car.
They only reluctantly got off after being urged repeatedly by Dashiell.
Upon seeing them, there were noticeable changes in the appearances of Lucas and Adam.
Lucas touched the dog ears erging from the top of his head with one hand, while awkwardly covering his rear with the other.
From his hipbone area, a black canine tail matching the ears had appeared.
Lucas touched his ears in disbelief, feeling the soft yet real sensation in his hand, while simultaneously experiencing the ticklish sensation of having them touched.
The black dog ears instinctively twitched, causing his dog tail to move along with them.
In an instant, Lucas’ worldview seed shattered,
"I’ve really turned into a mystical creature... My sister has turned into a Dog Demon!"
Dashiell looked at him and was clearly trying to hold back laughter, but still said,
"It’s just an Eye-blocking Technique. After all, you’re entering the Academy filled entirely with Demons. Without a disguise, you wouldn’t be able to get in at all."
As he spoke, Dashiell reached out to pull Adam, who had been standing behind Lucas, out into the open,
"Don’t worry, you should trust Scarlett’s handiwork!"
Adam’s facial muscles twitched slightly. Did he not trust Scarlett’s handiwork?!
He trusted Scarlett’s handiwork too much!
Without firsthand experience, he wouldn’t have believed it.
Scarlett had sohow turned him into a Bear Demon!
With a pair of semi-circular bear ears on top of his head, and not the animal ear headbands sold at amusent parks, but actual bear ears.
Despite his shock, Adam also felt an inexplicable sense of sha.
He finally understood the tone in which Scarlett had said those words last night.
He now regretted it.
Thinking this, Adam suddenly heard a clicking sound of a cara beside him.
He turned abruptly to see Lucas retracting his phone after taking a picture, and Adam’s face imdiately darkened,
"Delete it!"
By now, Lucas had cald down and wasn’t bothered by the tail swaying behind him, saying,
"Brother Adam, don’t be so stingy. Since we’re here, it’s a rare opportunity. How about we take a picture to post on social dia?"
"You wouldn’t dare!"
Adam warned in a deep voice.
Lucas ignored the warning, moving closer to Adam with his dog ears, and the two positioned themselves for a selfie with the Academy gate as the backdrop,
"Brother Adam, co on, give a peace sign."
Adam glared at him expressionlessly.
Lucas could only urge him, "Co on, hurry up. After this, I still have to go inside and take more pictures. Don’t worry, look, Kingston said the little bear ears suit you perfectly."
Upon hearing Kingston’s na, Adam’s expressionless face finally showed a trace of emotion, looking at his phone screen instinctively.
Wanting to see when Kingston had said that.
Lucas seized the mont and snapped a picture of the two of them, quickly sending it to Kingston, "Sent it to him just now, he’ll definitely like it."

Ignoring his troubleso brother, Adam turned to the inside of the car.

It was made using a fox fur dropped by Aunt Ianthe Hearne, combined with her own Fox Demon energies.
Wearing it, Donovan naturally exuded the aura of a Great Demon from the Fox Tribe, eliminating the need for disguising like Lucas and Adam with energies from lesser demons.
"You both are human, so generally demon energies can’t completely cover the scent on you, hence the need to disguise as Half-Demon."
This thod of disguise was sothing Scarlett casually ca across in the library records at the academy, found interesting and noted it down; Lucas brought it up yesterday, so she used it.
As for why the choice was Dog Demon and Bear Demon.
Scarlett previously dealt with little dog demon Tai Hei and fangirl bear demon Cassidy, researching each of them which left her with fur containing their energies.
I must say, the effect was pretty good.
Just that there aren’t many opportunities to use it.
If anything, you wouldn’t need to order a separate tail when cosplaying at a comic convention.
No matter if Adam was satisfied with the disguise or not, Donovan was indeed quite satisfied.
After initially being awkward, Lucas quickly ca to terms with his demon form and found taking two check-in photos insufficient, pestering Scarlett to reveal her demon form too for a picture.
Scarlett firmly refused to show them.
Lucas, dragging a companion along to use the Academy’s gate as a check-in point for various photos, easily attracted a lot of attention.
Many at the academy recognized Scarlett, so her sudden appearance with so unfamiliar demons on campus didn’t garner much concern.
This contest was indeed semi-open, today included not only mystical creatures and Demon Masters, but also so external demons in the academy.
Most of these demons were sent by the Mystic Regulation Office instead of being parents of students.
Mainly to imdiately gain control over any students found to be contaminated, preventing chaos within the academy.
Because nobody knew for sure, how many students contaminated with demon energy would be uncovered through today’s contest.
"Samuel and I have important tasks today, unable to accompany you throughout, so aside from Dashiell, I found more people to guide you in the Academy."
Scarlett said,
"Although it is unlikely to encounter any danger in the academy, if any unexpected situation arises, rember to tear the Demon Talisman I prepared for you."
Scarlett instructed carefully once more, Donovan and the others didn’t co to add to her troubles, naturally promising one by one.
Lucas curiously asked,
"Sis, you found us a bodyguard? Is she a demon too? Where is she?"
Scarlett was about to reply but noticed a familiar aura approaching, smiling slightly,
"They’re here."
As she spoke, she turned around, witnessing Cassidy approach them happily,
"Scarlett~"
Upon arriving, she imdiately spotted Adam with his bear ears and winked at him,
"You’re the Half-Demon Imp Sprite that Scarlett ntioned sharing the sa origin with ? No worries, stick by my side today, big sis will take care of you."
She said and raised a hand to pat Adam on the head.
Adam: ...
Donovan, smiling, watched Adam’s expression of constipation, then asked Scarlett, "You ntioned ’they,’ so is there anyone else besides her?"
Scarlett nodded, pointing behind him, "Right here."
Donovan was taken aback, instinctively turning his head.
He saw another person had appeared behind him at so point.
A girl around seventeen or eighteen, beautiful and bright-looking, gazing at him with slightly squinted eyes as if with a smile.
She reached out, gently poking his cheek,
"You must be Donovan, right? First eting, I’m your auntie~"
