Compared to Stella Gibson’s excitent, Scarlett Jennings, after an initial mont of surprise, showed no trace of astonishnt but rather looked composed,

"Is there sothing wrong with this bed?"

Stella was montarily stunned, "Is there nothing wrong?"

"Greta is an Undying Bone, a coffin suits him perfectly."

Stella let out a sound, her baby face suddenly showing a hint of conflict,

"That’s true, but how do they know that Greta’s true form is a zombie?!"

Undying Bone differentiates itself in appearance from ordinary zombies. Going even further, after bringing him back to the clan, she purposely used secret thods to conceal the foul aura from his body.

One could say that from appearance to aura, aside from slightly paler skin, he is almost indistinguishable from ordinary people!

It’s strange enough for him to be recognized at a glance, not to ntion... who keeps a coffin in a room at ho!

"Besides, this is a top-quality Phoebe coffin!

Growing up, I’ve only ever gotten a miniature coffin made of sandalwood when my grandfather gave it to upon entering the Taoism Academy."

Stella spoke while taking detailed shots of the coffin for Scarlett,

"Look at this craftsmanship; even our clan’s uncle who specializes in coffins hasn’t made one this exquisite..."

Stella was babbling on, while Scarlett grew increasingly calm.

"This can only an that right from the first encounter, or upon entering the village, the other party had already seen through all our identities."

From Jasmine Hamilton, Grace, to Greta, even her relationship with Samuel Chalrs seed transparent to these villagers.

Although she didn’t know how they recognized everything at a glance, she seed to confirm one thing.

"So far, I haven’t detected any malice from these people, indeed, they’ve used what they perceive as the highest standards to welco us."

How can this not be seen as quite considerate?

Stella almost got persuaded, opened her mouth to say sothing, but then heard Scarlett say,

"Let’s rest well tonight; the village chief said anything else can be discussed tomorrow."

Even though Scarlett said that, she still advised Stella to set up a protective array in the room before sleeping.

Scarlett would naturally do the sa.

Samuel watched her busy herself in the room for quite a while, only saying,

"Tonight, stay here with Grace; I’ll sleep in the next room."

"Why?" Scarlett turned with what seed like confusion at his decision.

Samuel glanced at her, his tone sowhat helpless,

"Are you forgetting we are not a real married couple?"

Just engaged, not married, it wasn’t appropriate for him to share a room with her; it would be awkward for her and improper for him.

Seeing Scarlett wanted to argue further, Samuel just said,

"I have so idea about what’s happening in this village, rest assured, I’ll be fine alone."

Samuel said and started heading out, only for Scarlett to suddenly grab him,

"Engaged is engaged, as your fiancée, I have the responsibility to ensure your safety. Stay here, don’t go anywhere."

While saying that, she seed to think leaving him to sleep forcibly was odd, glanced at Grace beside them, and added,

"We’ll sleep together, all three of us."

Samuel:...

Grace:...Feeling an inexplicable chill.

Finally, Grace obediently went back to her true form, Scarlett and Samuel each took half the bed, with the system turtle in the middle.

System Turtle:...

Feeling it endured the longest and most painstaking night of its turtle life.

Scarlett and Samuel slept soundly.

Even Scarlett felt like she was enveloped in spiritual energy upon waking.

The pure energy naturally ca from Samuel beside her.

He slept as orderly and properly as he did before, the boundary between them remained clear, except for...

The hand that sohow got pulled over.

Her hand, like a bridge crossing the line, held gently by him, her palm resting against his abdon.

Through the soft quilt, she could still feel the slight rise and fall beneath it as he breathed.

Strangely, Scarlett felt her palm growing hot.

Then the warmth gradually spread to her neck and ear tips.

In that mont, she forgot they were in a strange and eerie domain.

Luckily, as she awoke, Samuel soon opened his eyes too, with a slight movent of his fingers, he instantly realized the hand he held wasn’t his.

Turning his head, he t Scarlett’s eyes unexpectedly.

In the mountain’s early morning, the surroundings were so quiet only the sound of birds remained.

Their eyes t across the space, an unprecedented sensation quietly spreading between them.

Until... a Wood Pattern Turtle, shrouded in a thin Black Mist, floated lightly from the foot of the bed to hover between their heads.

The system turtle turned to look directly at Scarlett.

[Can you act like you’re concerned? Do you really think you’re on vacation? Shouldn’t we be looking for the master?]

[Not to criticize, but you’re even harder to manage than Azura Loomis.]

The system directly launched a spiritual attack at Scarlett, Scarlett’s response was...

She didn’t have ti to respond.

Because just as she began to react, the Gold twins who had been hanging on the bed post all night flew down first.

One on the left, one on the right, lifting their legs to deliver synchronized flying kicks, directly sending the turtle hindering their owner from bonding flying out.

The system was unexpectedly kicked, flying straight to the window, its turtle body first pushing open the slightly closed wooden window before the whole turtle sailed out.

And this was when the window flung open, the aura from outside rushed in, and Scarlett sat up in a flash.

Samuel followed suit.

They approached the window, only to see that downstairs, an unknown number of villagers had gathered in a densely packed crowd.

They seed startled by the turtle soaring out, now scattering hurriedly.

A few caught in the gaze of Scarlett and Samuel upstairs, like the village chief, then feigned calmness with a sheepish grin at them, followed by an inviting call,

"Dear guests, breakfast is ready, co down and eat."

Scarlett:...

The system had a point.

She was indeed too lax.

Lax almost to negligence.

Even though she had synced a bit of information with Samuel before sleeping the night before, gaining a rough idea of the village’s situation.

But... the awareness of being surrounded by people in the morning was completely unintended; she was indeed too relaxed.

Were it not for the villagers showing no malice indeed, who knows what might have happened overnight?

Suddenly hearing a phone ringtone.

Scarlett checked, it was another ssage from Stella.

Stella had sent a picture of breakfast.

The breakfast options for her, Greta, and Jasmine were chicken porridge, chicken blood porridge, and a whole chicken.

Yet another thoughtful package.

Though, it’s a bit too thoughtful.

Stella was about to cry,

"Should we eat or not?!!"
