Jasmine Hamilton listened to Scarlett Jennings’ words, initially startled, and then her eyes gradually widened.

Once she realized what Scarlett ant, Jasmine felt her heart skip a beat and nodded firmly without hesitation.

"I am willing!"

After finalizing the ti and arrangents for returning to the Otherworld, Jasmine didn’t linger long at the Jennings Family and was quickly led out the door by the Little Beauty.

The gatekeeper of the Jennings Family was not surprised.

The pets raised by their young lady were known to be so intelligent.

After bidding farewell to the Little Beauty, Jasmine walked straight out of the villa area.

As she reached the main gate, a car happened to drive up. Even through the car window, Jasmine instantly recognized the person sitting in the driver’s seat and that familiar aura.

However, the aura she was familiar with belonged to him from another world.

Sitting in the car was Amber Livingston.

Knowing Scarlett Jennings had returned, he originally intended to visit her.

But on his way, Director Clark suddenly assigned him another task.

Amber felt that Director Clark was relentless.

Having him as a regular guest for three seasons was not enough; he was always thinking about Scarlett Jennings, the "original guest."

Murmuring along the way, he drove through the villa gate.

Then, he saw a girl walking toward the gate.

Their eyes briefly t through the car window, but Jasmine was the first to look away.

Even though it was the sa person in appearance and all aspects, to her, the one she was familiar with, wished to stay with, was always Xie Zhen from the Otherworld.

Passing by without further thoughts, she didn’t realize that in the car, Amber instinctively slowed down as they brushed past each other.

Watching the figure gradually recede through the rearview mirror, Amber instinctively covered his chest.

"Grandma Elena... I feel like I’ve seen that girl before."

He had seen her in dreams when Grandma Elena communicated with him.

There was sothing about her that felt very familiar to him.

Grandma Elena didn’t respond much, her aged voice replying softly,

"It doesn’t matter anymore."

...

Otherworld.

Xie Zhen had been waiting alone at the house he shared with Jasmine for more than half a month.

After Jasmine and her friends suddenly disappeared from the dark web organ trafficking site, Qi Qi had knocked him out, and when he awoke, he was at Jasmine’s place.

Initially, he thought she would co back soon after taking care of her business.

He stayed at her place, looking after Thalassa Hamilton and Hu Carrot (the rabbit).

He waited for her one day, two days, three days...

He began to worry.

But he didn’t know where to look for her.

Later, leaders from around the world suddenly declared that there was another parallel world outside their own.

After that, there was nothing more.

One day, rumors erged online saying that several people overseas disappeared simultaneously on one day.

So people even claid to have lost mory of a certain day.

But such rumors were quickly suppressed by conspiracy theories and news of war, and Xie Zhen didn’t pay much attention thereafter.

However, a sense of unease lingered within him.

"Another parallel world..."

Xie Zhen whispered softly to the empty, quiet room, as if talking to himself, or perhaps soone else.

"Jasmine, did you... already return to another world with them?"

He asked, his voice dry and hoarse,

"Did you... abandon and Thalassa?"

The possibility that Jasmine might never return was sothing Xie Zhen couldn’t accept.

Yet the more he couldn’t accept it, the more that thought repeated in his mind.

The more he tried to find reasons to refute such a possibility, the more those reasons seed to confirm his suspicion.

For instance, he knew nothing about Jasmine’s past before, whenever she talked about her childhood, she would find an excuse to avoid it.

Or how Jasmine, having lived here for two years, never t or contacted any friends apart from him.

Those people appeared as if from nowhere one day, and what was more important... none of them had IDs!

They couldn’t even stay at a hotel.

Later, Jasmine said she might not be human.

He didn’t press further.

He accepted everything as a matter of fact.

Because it didn’t matter what she was, he always liked her, the person.

He thought, as long as she didn’t leave, whether she was human, ghost, or even a fox, it didn’t matter.

Yet ironically, she left.

Without leaving a single word, she simply vanished from his life.

He muddled through the house they used to share, but though it was the sa place, he felt it was overwhelmingly empty and desolate.

After drinking beer, Xie Zhen lay disheveled against the sofa.

Thalassa Hamilton’s automatic feeder went off, but the usually punctual Thalassa seed to sense his sadness and waddled over.

Her furry head nudged against his arm, as if comforting him.

Yet Xie Zhen pulled the fox into his arms, crying out,

"Thalassa!! Your mom abandoned us, woo woo woo... Jasmine Hamilton! How could you be so heartless, woo woo woo..."

"If you were leaving, why didn’t you take and Thalassa too?!"

"What’s in that world?! Did you have soone else, is that why you abandoned , woo woo woo..."

He cried into the fox’s fur, his tears soaking into its fluffy coat.

Thalassa couldn’t stand the drunken fool, and with a kick, she scampered off.

Xie Zhen, seeing Thalassa also about to leave him, struggled to stand up and chase after her.

But just as he managed to get up, his phone lying nearby rang unexpectedly.

Despite being half-drunk, the ringtone startled him awake. He hastily grabbed the phone, answered it without looking at the caller ID.

His voice carried an urgency and grievance he didn’t even notice,

"Jasmine..."

The other end of the line was silent at first, then ca a sowhat rough male voice,

"Bro! Brother Ling Amber! What are you doing? You’ve not stread for half a month because of a woman, do you not want to work in this field anymore..."

No one knew which words touched Xie Zhen’s sore spot, but the large man erupted at the phone with a roar,

"Yes! I don’t want to work anymore! Don’t provoke ! I’ve lost a love, who needs a career?!"

With that, he slamd the phone down and dissolved into wailing on the floor.

"Boo hoo hoo... I don’t want to be heartbroken; this was my first love boo hoo hoo..."

In the dim room, a faint glow appeared at so point.

Amidst his sorrow and pain, Xie Zhen’s sleeve was tugged on.

Thinking Thalassa had returned, he twisted away, still howling,

"Leave alone! Didn’t you also abandon ?! Leave alone, woo woo woo..."

He was gently tugged again, turning over, he barked, "I said don’t pull !!"

The hand tugging his sleeve paused, then cautiously, a soft voice spoke,

"Xie Zhen..."

The person lying on the floor stiffened at the familiar voice.

For a long ti, he finally looked up stiffly from the floor.

Through the weak light, he saw that familiar figure suddenly appear in front of him, and his already tear-reddened eyes grew redder.

When the figure before him tentatively spoke again, disregarding everything, he opened his arms and hugged her fiercely...

Ha,

His Jasmine hadn’t left him after all...
