Chang Sung was so frightened that she dared not speak, only to widen her eyes in fear as she looked at her.

Nan Yu looked down at her again, asking once more.

"Are you Luo Ji’s wife?"

eting those sharp eyes and recalling Luo Ji’s half-paralyzed figure after being beaten, Chang Sung imdiately nodded.

Nan Yu asked doubtfully, "Are you married?"

Chang Sung continued nodding.

"I’ve always lived in my hotown. The day before yesterday, I received news of his hospitalization and hurried over from ho, only to arrive today and find out he had already died."

Thinking of this, her eyes turned red, filled with intense hatred.

She said softly, "You murderer."

Nan Yu let go, speaking indifferently, "Luo Ji wasn’t killed by ."

After saying that, she turned to go find the police in the ward.

Chang Sung watched her upright figure with a flicker of doubt in her heart.

She recalled the photo another person had sent her—the murderer in the photo was clearly Nan Yu, identical in appearance and even dressed the sa.

With tearful eyes, Chang Sung whispered to herself, "I can’t trust her, she’s the murderer."

As Nan Yu approached the entrance to the ward, Sun Lu followed closely behind and spoke before her.

"Captain Yan, my client is here."

Captain Yan Ren inside the ward heard the voice, and imdiately ca out.

He was burly and sharp-eyed, clearly an experienced and insightful veteran police officer.

He looked Nan Yu up and down, taking note of every shift in her expression.

"You’re Nan Yu?"

Nan Yu nodded, "Yes, it’s ."

A chill ran through Yan Ren’s eyes, "Arrest her."

The next second, another officer behind him approached to handcuff her.

Nan Yu calmly said, "There’s no need to handcuff , I’ll go with you, but I request to et the witness."

Yan Ren narrowed his eyes, signaled the junior officer with a glance, and said, "Bring the witness here."

Soon, the junior officer returned with a young nurse.

Yan Ren directly asked the nurse, "Take a good look, is it her?"

The nurse, wearing glasses, scrutinized Nan Yu carefully from head to toe, her gaze eventually settling on her face.

Without hesitation, she said, "Captain Yan, yes—it’s her!"

Nan Yu frowned, "Are you sure you saw ?"

The nurse’s eyes darted away, stepping back in fear, and then nodded vigorously at Yan Ren.

"Captain Yan, she’s the murderer, arrest her quickly!"

Yan Ren stepped in front of Nan Yu, "You need to co with us. Whatever you want to say, you can say it at the police station."

Nan Yu pressed her lips together, "Fine."

She turned to Sun Lu, "Lawyer Sun, I need to go with Captain Yan for a while, please co to the police station to see tonight."

Sun Lu nodded, "Don’t worry, I’ll get you out on bail soon."

Yan Ren, seeing how composed Nan Yu was, had only seen this in two kinds of people.

Either soone innocent or a heinous criminal.

His gaze towards Nan Yu was filled with caution.

As soon as Nan Yu got into the police car, Sun Lu called Xia Xing.

"Assistant Xia, this is bad, Miss Nan is a suspect now."

Driving and using the speaker, Xia Xing could feel a powerful aura emanating from the back seat, overwhelming him.

He swallowed nervously and asked in a low voice, "Lawyer Sun, what’s going on?"

Sun Lu said, "Luo Ji is dead, soone saw Miss Nan kill him, and there’s video evidence too."

Xia Xing was stunned, while Sun Lu continued talking on the other end.

"Miss Nan is cooperating with the investigation; she’s already been taken in."
