"Ghost Doctor had only one apprentice!"

Li Chongbai repeated this sentence with a heavier tone than before, his eyes reddening as they filled with nostalgia for an old friend.

Pei Yu quickly pulled out a paper and handed it to him, quietly comforting him.

"Teacher, if Ghost Doctor could see that not only his apprentice but also others have mastered his acupuncture technique, he would be happy, even in the afterlife," Pei Yu said.

Li Chongbai nodded, soothing his own emotions, "To master Ghost Doctor’s acupuncture techniques so proficiently, she must have had a deep relationship with him. I must ask about it later."

After hearing this, Nan Zhou’s eyes conveyed a slightly different emotion.

He couldn’t help but say, "This Doctor Li is really mysterious. I am increasingly curious about who she really is."

Nan Zhuoyuan turned to look at Nan Yu on the surveillance footage, feeling an increasingly strong sense of familiarity.

The waiting felt exceptionally lengthy.

Nan Zhou, always impatient, now wore a look of urgency on his face, continuously checking his watch until he could no longer sit still.

"Brother, this office is too stuffy; I’ll wait outside the ward," he said.

The usually calm Nan Zhuoyuan also stood up, "I’ll join you."

Li Chongbai was entirely focused on Nan Yu in the surveillance video, observing every step of her treatnt closely.

He was indifferent to the departure of Nan Zhuoyuan and Nan Zhou.

His gaze locked on the screen, he occasionally said to Pei Yu, "Pei Yu, did you see her needle technique just now? It’s a unique thod of Ghost Doctor, doesn’t it resemble a fluttering butterfly?"

Pei Yu, busily taking notes, nodded and said, "Yes! Her hands are so steady; it feels like even a big storm wouldn’t make them flicker."

Li Chongbai nodded, "To have such steady hands, she must practice a lot. Later, I will ask her how she trained, so you can learn more from her thods as well," he remarked.

Pei Yu obediently responded, "Yes, Teacher."

anwhile, in the ward, Nan Yu removed the last silver needle and placed it back in the dical box.

Opening the last compartnt, there was a white porcelain bottle inside.

She poured out a small red pill from it.

Nan Yu took a spoon and ground the pill into a powder, then mixed it with water and brought it to Duan Zhu’s lips.

"Mom, this dicine is a bit bitter, but it will help you wake up sooner," she said.

Nan Yu carefully opened Duan Zhu’s mouth and fed her the dicine bit by bit, making sure she didn’t choke, then gave her two more spoonfuls of water.

Once everything was complete, her back was entirely soaked with sweat.

Nan Yu wiped the sweat from her forehead, relaxed her tense nerves, and covered Duan Zhu with a blanket again.

"Mom, if they won’t let co tomorrow, I’ll co to see you stealthily later, no matter what, even if I have to climb the wall, I’ll be here," she said.

She squeezed Duan Zhu’s hand, her voice a bit hoarse, "So I’ll leave for today; you rest well."

As Nan Yu let go of the hand and stepped out of the door, no one noticed the tear trickling down Duan Zhu’s cheek as she lay on the hospital bed.

As Nan Yu stepped out of the ward door, she didn’t have ti to escape before she was blocked firmly by Nan Zhuoyuan and Nan Zhou.

Fear flashed in her eyes, and she uneasily adjusted her mask, keeping her head down, unable to look up at them.

She dared not speak, fearing that Nan Zhuoyuan would recognize her by her voice, and even more afraid that if he recognized her, he and Nan Zhou would join forces to kill her.

Nan Zhou spoke first, "Doctor Li, I know you’re not really Li Yingying. Who are you?"

At his words, Nan Yu’s nerves tensed imdiately, her mind racing as her eyes darted around, looking for the best escape route.

Just as she was about to make a move, she heard Nan Zhuoyuan’s uncompromising voice next to her ear.

"Doctor Li, let’s talk on the seventh floor," he said.
